These people bent over backwards to help us . we were scheduled to go to Pensacola and we backed into the LP gas and the RV died. These people were so amazing. Our RV had to be repaired and it sat for four days and every day they would come and check on us. These are really good caring people . We will forever come to this KOA during the holidays so many improvements new laundromat nice patio furniture nice pool area big oak trees lots of shade a shuttle to downtown New Orleans. It just doesn't get any better than this. It is one block from the Mississippi with a nice bicycle trail that goes forever .

Called ahead of time and they seemed very nice and…read moreunderstanding, they informed us it's only for working people (we were going there for my boyfriends job) and no children were allowed (not an issue as we don't have kids yet) we asked if dogs were allowed (as we have three of them) they said dogs we're perfectly fine as long as we cleaned up after them( we bring doggy bags everywhere) we got there and the owner was helping my boyfriend back in and was very rude and hateful about it (my boyfriend didn't need help the owner just started to help) then after being rude while "helping" the dogs were in the truck and the window was cracked and they started to bark (they are not aggressive at all) owner then says " you need to shut those dogs up" then walks away and as he's walking away he tells someone " he needs to shut those god damn dogs the fuck up"!!!! Needless to say we pulled our camper to a new park!

The shower didn't work, and the bath backed up into the floor drain, causing a giant puddle in the bathroom. Staff is approachable but not friendly. We stayed in the newest side of the RV park in February. Very nice cement pads with grass between…read moresites. A little far from coast but we discovered several restaurants along the way that were wonderful. One tiny problem we had was when we first pulled in to park. We were told to take the first "right" to drive to our site. The first right turned out to be the pull out lane for the first row of RV's, not an actual street. We couldn't back the trailer that far so had to unhook our trailer there, unload car, pull trailer through an empty RV space with the car, then back the RV up. This was mostly our fault, but you might post that road as "not a thru street" or something. I think we gave the RV travelers sitting outside visiting quite a show and a laugh!

The Elks Lodge was gracious in donating their space to local caregivers of veterans, to give the…read morecaregivers a few hours of respite. The event was hosted by the VA but there was an Elk's member that was helping with the food and was very kind. She was helpful and even brought out saran wrap so that people could take food to go! The venue was clean and comfortable. There were several tables and chairs set out and plenty of room to do activities as well. The bathrooms were clean and easily accessible. Parking lot is available at the lodge with many spaces. I think that this building would make a great venue for events such as receptions, birthday parties, baby showers, etc.
