    Trolley passing across the street.

This is a gorgeous hotel, in a beautiful neighborhood right by Tulane University. It feels like a travel back in time because of its ornaments and elegance. My favorite time is after sunset when the lights are turned on, the bar opens, and people, some staying, others just gathering here, come to wind down perhaps after work or catch up with old friends with a glass of wine. Beautiful place worth visiting, and for sure, staying at least one night!

I visited the Park View Guest House for three nights with a group that booked up the entire Inn except for one room. The Inn was a converted house from the 1800's, so has some quarks but it's just great! The service is fantastic, upon early check in our bags were brought to our room in the third floor. There is no elevator so I was happy I did not have to carry them up! They have a great breakfast, not made to order but delicious hot food options. Around 2:00 they put out wine and beer for you to enjoy as well as snacks and other beverages. Our room was comfortable and had all the amenities you would expect. I really enjoyed walking around the old house and see remained from the 1800's. The Inn is just steps away from the street car and is agency to Audubon Park.

I have never stayed at a Bed and Breakfast before, but my experience at the Park View was amazing and I certain that I will do a B&B again. And almost certainly at the Park View next time I visit New Orleans. The whole hotel draws you back to early days and has all the charm and romance you would expect from such a distinguished building. We were lucky enough to get one of the best rooms in the house. It had a large bedroom and an attached sitting room as well as a private en suite bathroom. As a special bonus it also offered access to a semi-private (share with one other room) balcony overlooking St Charles where we enjoyed a Central Market muffuletta one evening while watched people and street cars pass by.

Staying in this charming antebellum house is a real treat. The location is on St. Charles Avenue just across from Tulane University and beside beautiful Audubon Park. It is a gorgeous three story home with well appointed rooms, sitting parlors, and wrap around porches. The staff is friendly and warm. Breakfast is served buffet-style in the sunny dining room each morning with a good selection. Kureg coffee makers are located on each floor. Wine and refreshments are available every afternoon/evening. I especially loved grabbing a glass of wine and sitting on the front porch reading and watching the trolleys go by and walking in the park each day. The Park View Guest House is charming and comfortable. I highly recommend staying there!

Complimentary bottle of champagne for my birthday!

We decided to have a staycation for my birthday weekend and play tourist. We found this place through friends and couldn't have made a better choice. On St. Charles Avenue right across the street from beautiful Audubon Park. Beautifully decorated, our room had antique furniture and surprisingly the bed was incredibly comfortable! Wife and I usually don't sleep well in hotels but we both did this weekend! I got up and ran in the park Saturday, we rode the streetcar up and down St. Charles Avenue and walked to the Audubon Zoo. After dinner we sat on the porch with some friends and a bottle of wine enjoying the beautiful setting. To me, this place really represents New Orleans. The Big East. In the parlor there are cookbooks celebrating our rich culinary history and historical books on our cemeteries and Mardi Gras. The staff was incredible, when they found out it was my birthday we returned to our room to find a complimentary bottle of champagne! They're taking all the recommended Covid precautions. They're perfectly positioned to really play tourist whether you are one or just pretending. Only a few feet from Tulane and Loyola Universities, Holy Name Catholic Church, Audubon Zoo and on the street car line. We will definitely be back!

The Hotel was Ok .. Room was Clean but the Room clearly needed a update. Hodgepodge of dated hotel furniture..Bathroom shower door wouldn't stay closed when showering, A large crack on the outside wall along the shower was very noticeable, you had to reach under the bathroom vanity cabinet sink to open and close the sink stopper. The Hotel staff were friendly but two were aloof.. I asked for bottled water, but the girl behind the front desk said there was a water dispenser and cups in the dinning room.. I ended up walking to the Walgreens a mile or so on Carrollton Ave to buy a bottle of water.. Every hotel I've stayed at had bottled water, for guests, Ugh.. this is a one time stay for me

Often this type of accommodation is hard to find and in this case, location and amenities cost a little be more. And it was certainly well worth it. CONS - None! +/- - There is currently no breakfast service, although judging by what looked like an unused cafe room (near the pool), there might have been pre-COVID. However, there's lots of breakfast choices nearby. - WiFi works better outside. - As our cottage backed up on St. Louis street, we did hear some noise in the evening and morning. - Our Cottage #5 shares a wall with #6 and at the time our neighbors were a young couple who by the sounds of it were having some great sex. A Dinner and a Show! PROS - Beautiful property and a quiet oasis within the French Quarter where nearly everything was a short walk. - Impeccable outdoor area including wading pool and a huge patio outside our Cottage. A big bonus was the great weather we experience why we were here. - 2 very comfortable beds, nice bathroom/shower, and good temperature control. - Wonderful common living room, with a comfy sitting, and frequently replenished coffee, water, and soft drinks. - Pleasant and hardworking housekeeping staff. - Attentive check-in and check-out support from Sean. Gayle and I would come back here in a heartbeat!

Being stationed in the French quarter meant we could easily walk to anything we wanted and then come back for a nice dip in the pool. Never crowded or busy really because there are only 7 cottages. When we arrived, there were some different walkways and gardens behind the inn, which were really cool, but at first we weren't sure if we were in the right place! The instructions that Chris and Maryann gave to find each of the rooms was perfect. There was lots of foliage, fountains, swings, benches, tables, different places to hang out each night. Each room had its own theme and flair to it. The detail in the old building was so cool. The rooms were also very large, and had high ceilings! Our suite, River, was so huge. I have stayed in New Orleans before, and some other Inn rooms are difficult to navigate due to being so small. Not at Blue60 ! The descriptions on the website don't do them justice. The rooms were also immaculate.. everything was very clean down to the linens, sofas, floors, etc. We loved being a quick walk to Frenchmen Street, we found ourselves here each night! It was also within a 10 minute walk to the French quarter, Royal street and Bourbon Street. The only Uber we needed to take was to and from the Inn from the airport. There was a fresh market across the street and a Starbucks. We stopped at the market to get waters and snacks! The only concern we had when booking was some reviews saying that Desire & River were "too loud at night." I have to say , I 100% disagree. Both myself and the group in the other room did not have any problems sleeping. Yes it is a streetfront room, but it is a Main Street, so it is quiet. Once or twice through the whole weekend a loud car drove by, but passed within a few seconds.... We were very very happy here! Thank you Chris and Maryann for an awesome experience, we hope to come back sooner than later, and will definitely stay at Blue60!!

There was a last minute cancellation that popped up, the reviews and price was right, so we took a chance on the B&B route. The Terrell House is a 3 story Italianate mansion built in 1857 (if I remembered that correctly) and perfectly hidden in plain sight on one of Uptown's main streets, Magazine. You're a short streetcar or Uber into the CBD or French Quarter and an equally brisk walk the other direction uptown to Garden District attractions. Beyond the main house rooms, there are also accommodations in the carriage house overlooking the courtyard as well as suites at the Creole house. There seemed to be a size and price for just about any traveler. Our room ended up being in the carriage house and was spotless, quiet and comfortable. The room came with everything you'd expect in a hotel room plus toiletries, coffee, snacks, water and sodas gratis. Service was excellent throughout our stay. They helped us grab luggage and unload the car as well as point me to open street parking nearby. Your stay also includes a complimentary breakfast which is not to be missed. Our two mornings had perfect starts thanks to a fantastic breakfast spread and visiting with other travelers. As long as there's an open room, I'm fairly certain the Terrell House will now be on our must stay list when heading to New Orleans.
