The staff and the owner are GOAT. Goat means Greatest Of All Time. These people bent over backwards to help us . we were scheduled to go to Pensacola and we backed into the LP gas and the RV died. These people were so amazing. Our RV had to be repaired and it sat for four days and every day they would come and check on us. These are really good caring people . We will forever come to this KOA during the holidays so many improvements new laundromat nice patio furniture nice pool area big oak trees lots of shade a shuttle to downtown New Orleans. It just doesn't get any better than this. It is one block from the Mississippi with a nice bicycle trail that goes forever . read more

Very impressed!! We tow and I like pull through, but all sites here are back in. The sites with level concrete pads are wide and deep and nice spacing between sites. A very nice grocery store supplied with many NOLA foods and novelties. But the bathrooms! There is only one door into the shower and bathrooms and didn't know what to expect. But there are separate rooms for gender and plenty of stalls. The showers have a solid locking door with a change room before the shower. Staff is EXTREMELY friendly and helpful. I didn't expect this nice of a park basically in an urban area. Not far from everything you need or to do. We were so impressed we booked an extra night. read more

Great stay for any overnight visit. The ladies at the front desk let us check in early and gave us a ton of information about getting around to and from the Bourbon Street area. They do have Uber here as well and downtown was about 25 mins away. No frills park, but it was clean and safe. We filled up our propane tank here for a reasonable price. read more

We were here for a day and a half along our Thanksgiving break road trip. I do want to start by saying that this would probably be 5 stars had they not still been recovering from an almost cat 5 hurricane months before. The damage was still all around the area. The KOA is still in great condition for having just gone through that, but many amenities still aren't up and going. The whole reason we decided to stay in the KOA another night instead of hitting the road, was because I had an Exam to take. I was hoping for the stability of wifi, but the wifi was very hit or miss and I ended up on my Hotspot anyways. The playground was down still, so the kiddos didn't have anywhere to get their energy out, and the roads were not in great shape for my son and his scooter, or the kids on bikes...many scraped knees and elbows. I was also sad to find that they didnt have fire pits in site, as that's usually pretty common in KOAs. Still though, despite those things, the staff was very friendly. The shop was nice, the bathroom and shower facilities were well maintained, and all the neighbors were friendly. The office staff was responsive when I emailed to update our days a few days in advance, and the night guard was very helpful when we arrived close to 3am. We look forward to staying here again in the future, and hope they have a chance to get some of the amenities fixed by then. read more

We needed to find an RV Park that was close to where my son and his family live for a long weekend visit. We were fortunate to be able to get a last minute reservation at the KOA park on the July 4 weekend. The park has easy in and out access, and the check in process didn't take long. Staff guided us to our spot, which was right across from the swimming pool, and in front of the laundry building. It was great for convenience, but there was more traffic than we would normally prefer, but given it was a last minute reservation, we weren't complaining. The park is very clean and well maintained. There are staff constantly going around the area to take care of things. All were friendly and helpful. Given that the park is literally in the middle of a large city, it was surprising to have so much shade and so many trees. The park being an older park helps with that. It's not new, but as I said, very clean and well maintained. It is very well located to anything and everything in the New Orleans area. Just minutes from just about anything. The only real noise we heard was the train at night. I'll be sure to bring earplugs for that next time for my husband, but it didn't really bother me. We will definitely stay here again! read more

Friendly staff, but the park is pretty outdated. The entrance is odd as the driveway runs along a residential neighborhood. I have stayed at many KOA's across the country and most of them seem to be in the process of updating/renovating, but this one seems a bit behind. You can't beat the price and the location is close enough to downtown New Orleans. read more

Over the years, and most especially on our recent cross country RV adventure, hubby and I have stayed at a LOT of KOAs. This one is head and shoulders above any I've experienced in my life. Yes, the park is small. Yes, the park is near the airport (which did not prove to be a noise issue). And most importantly, yes, it's near NOLA and the French Quarter. The pool is sparkling. The grounds are maintained and kept immaculate by folks such as Dave and the rest of the maintenance crew. There is a lovely tot lot for your kid to run off some steam. The gift shop, as previously noted, is well-appointed. The staff were friendly and informative. We had an issue with a neighbor's barking dog (left alone in the RV) which was promptly addressed and resolved. (Note to dog owners: if Fido has separation issues, he/she will bark the entire time you are gone. Don't be that pet parent.) AND they have a reasonably priced shuttle service into the French Quarter. Sites are nice level slabs, some have fire pits, there's a nice patch of green between sites, lovely shade trees. While there are some signs that they are continuing to recover from 2022 hurricane season, its minimal and does not impact guests. I highly recommend this park. Wish I had taken the time to snap some photos! For those in need for reprovisioning: the big blue W supercenter is 5-6 minutes away! read more

When. We entered the park a man named Chad showed us to our site. He also shuttled us across to take a hop on hop off bus. This was well work the $15 they charged a the $60 for the bus trip. He narrated the ride as we went with the history of the area. He was the star of the KOA. We hadn't ever experienced that at other KOA's. We appreciate him so much for making our vacay from Tennessee an e we enjoyable one. Dorene was knowledgeable on different ideas of things to do as well. The KOA was not a large site and offered a dog small park. It was very easy to walk your dog. They offered a laundry place as well. It was a quiet and safe place to stay. The office is not dog friendly. I read on the door. Watch the ramp and don't step off by the door of the office . When looking at some literature. There was a nice outdoor sink. read more

Traveling full-time in a 42-foot coach we have stayed in over 400 RV Parks. We stayed at the New Orleans KOA for six-nights during the month of December, 2019. (1) Clean, quiet and well-maintained park with great amenities is what you will find here, along with a very friendly staff. We especially enjoyed using the very large pool and hot tub at night...both of which are kept open 24-hours. (2) We live in the age of WIFI technology and there is nothing to stop any RV Park across this country from investing in doing WIFI properly. This park receives 5-stars for their great WIFI. (3) Level pads, big coaches need paved or thick gravel pads that are level. We give this park a 5-star rating for having level paved sites. This park had a good amount of grassy space between sites with picnic table and chairs provided at each site. (4) Maneuverability, some parks have very narrow roads which make backing up and turning very difficult, we found this park to have plenty of room to maneuver, including when towing. (5) Dust, some parks are so dusty that even after short stays your unit needs a bath. Not here! The dust on our coach was very minimal compared to many other parks. (6) Satellite, as you know satellite reception is very hard to receive when you have large trees. If you stay away from the sites with the tall trees to the south you should receive reception, if not they do have cable. (7) Phone Service, we have AT&T which worked great here. (8) Dog play and potty, plenty of area to walk your dog here including a fenced off-leash area. Bonus: This park has fantastic paved bike/walking trails right across the street. Be sure to take advantage of this great feature! We would definitely stay at this park again. read more

Canceled my upcoming reservation without approval and without reason. Left us in a bind as we now have to find other accommodations a few weeks before our trip. Have emailed them but no reply. They must have overbooked and canceled whomever they thought wouldn't mind. Well they picked the wrong person to do that to. This is our 4th year returning to this campground. It is close to all the people and places we want to visit.The concrete sites with water and sewer are clean and spacious. Free WIFI and cable too. It is convenient to shopping, groceries, and easy to get to from the highway. The free shuttle to the French Quarter daily is a plus. Great laundry facilities, pet friendly and helpful hosts. I have found it to be clean each time I visited, usually in March and April but also last October 2018. The whole area is affected when it pours rain but this campground works diligently to minimize any problems the rain causes. There is a nighttime security guard who patrols the whole campground and sees you safely inside your camper if you should return very late. I will continue to return. read more

The owners won't let you start your motorcycle up inside the camp ground. They make you walk it out to the Hwy before you can start it. They also yell at you if you do more than 5 mph Even though it's a public road and the real limit is 20 mph. But they will drive the golf cart 11 mph to yell at you for driving more than 5 mph. BEAUTIFUL place to stay while in Louisiana! Greg and Doreen (actually all of the staff members) were FANTASTIC! Super friendly and helpful at all times. Even helped us back up into our space. Immaculate laundry facilities with very close access. Doreen gave us turn by turn directions to get to the street car, where to park etc. to get to the French Quarter. This is our 4rth time here. Update there is a small laundry room. However the shower rooms still are filled with black mold under the rubber mats. The Black Mold creeping up in the shower stalls. You can good a good whiff as soon as you open the door to the tiny shower rooms. Just gross Also bring your earplugs The Trains The Airport The Shipping Traffic. Are all very close. Never any peace. Ok for one or two nights. The pool was clean. Laundry room was also very clean. Wasn't in the shower so can't comment on that. Older park most have trees, although they are so close that we had to have tree trimmed as it was on roof. Concrete parking slabs with a slight incline. Roads are asphalt but need some repair. The office staff was friendly, they offer a once a day shuttle to down town Nawleans. They also have a small but nice gift shop and pet sitters are available for fee. read more

my husband and I stayed here 5 nights while visiting New Orleans recently. We thoroughly had a great experience! When they saw we were going to have trouble getting in to the spot they reserved us they switched us and two employees were VERY helpful at guiding my husband in to the spot! The office cheerfully helped us with setting up tours, reserving a space on their shuttles and providing info on EVERYTHING! The shuttle driver was a free tour himself.... a WEALTH of info on New Orleans. ALL the employees were fabulous! New Orleans West KOA - boat tour in S Padre Island, Texas with my husband - Campgrounds Near Me - River Ridge, Louisiana

This KOA was about 20ish miles away from downtown. It's an ok park. Concrete sites, mature trees, full hook up, cable, pool, laundry, shuttle, and friendly staff. Park shows it's age with crumbled concrete at camp sites, not quite as cleaned up and manicured as it could be. We would drive into town and park on the corner of Carrollton and St Charles for free. Plenty of safe parking. Then buy a jazzy all day pass for $3 each. Ride all the way into downtown. Walk around and jump onto the trolly or bus with all day pass to get around. Really got good at it by using the cities website to review routes and jump aboard to get around. Way to get around for cheap. read more

We were happy with our stay. They have complimentary daily shuttles to the French quarter which is great. We did that a couple times. There is a fenced in dog park area which was perfect for our GSP- just watch your step! Bathrooms were small but clean and the staff was nice. We were there for originally for 2 weeks and extended another week. Anyone RVing near a city knows that most campgrounds aren't IN the city but surrounding areas. This is close to the French Quarter. It's a small campground and it's perfect for visiting New Orleans. There was staff who drove through all night long for security so we felt very safe. The camp store has basic necessities as well as some fun items. We had trouble detaching our car from the tow dolly when we first arrived and one of the staff got on the ground and laid in the dirt to get under to help without me asking, which was above and beyond. We will absolutely stay again and recommend this campground to everyone RVing in NOLA. The sites are on the small side and it's tight however, if you're visiting New Orleans, you're not spending your time camping, you're spending it taking in the city. read more

This is a small campground, and a bit tight, but who cares? I came to see the city and its history, not hang around the park. There's a shuttle that take you to the French Quarter. The friendly staff will assist you finding fun things to do. Nice and helpful staff here. One gentleman guided me into my site, which was greatly appreciated. The bathroom was clean and the showers had hot water. The laundry is open 24 hours, and the store is stocked with lots of snacks. There's a store within walking distance that has some great fried chicken and po boys. And dominoes delivers right to your campsite! I'd stay here again. read more

Nice helpful staff. 30 minutes from French quarter. Completely turned off by the smell in the bathroom, mold, sweat, dirty feet combo. My nose never acclimated. Didn't spend a lot of time on the campground because it was raining most of the time. They don't have a gate that is used after hours so there are a lot of people in and out. read more

Well maintained area. Clean and good services. However when we call to reserve a site they wrote the type of RV we have down incorrectly. When we needed another night they made us unhook and move down 3 sites. Their staff was mostly friendly, with the exception of an older lady who was snippy with me when I could not tell her which side of our RV had the propane fIll. read more

The staff are unable to answer easy questions without referring you to another staff member. As in, what is your monthly rate? Mike, I think his name is, was never in and he was the fella we were supposed to inquire with. We drove through the park out of curiosity and it was nothing special. Pool was the size of a large hot tub and dog run was behind someones cabin. Was actually kind of weird. Just another snobby KOA that charges $58.11 per night when nothing interesting is going on in the city. May the eye rolling continue to the All Mighty KOA community. read more

New Orleans is flooding, mandatory evacuations in some areas, tropical storm upgraded to hurricane. This KOA charged me a cancellation fee for considering the safety of first responders and residents of NOLA! Even the governor has asked for people to stay away as the area is flooded and now preparing for the hurricane! Shame on KOA! read more

Alright let's start at the beginning...made the reservation on a wed for a sat... told them we were coming in after hours they said that's fine when you get here there will be a map with your name on it. Also told them I wanted to pay in cash when I arrived they said that's ok just need the information to hold the spot but when we arrived they ran my card anyways smh...alright well back to the story we get there approximately 915...look for our spot just to find that the spot is occupied and they are completely booked...so sat around for 30 min so they can find a spot...the owner came out of his house and said you can have my spot and kindly moved his rv. Gentleman gives me wifi just to find out when I connect that it's the wrong wifi. Next morning were getting ready to leave I want to take a quick shower at the office put my stuff down forgot my soap so run back to grab it come back and the ol top flight security telling me I can't take a shower it's closed at 12 I said what time is it? Another gentleman said it's 1155 I said well in goin to take a quick shower...the top flight guy says loses it and screams I thought I said not to take a shower!! Felt like he was trying to bully me or somethin then go to leave the shower areas and they locked the door on me smh a couple min later the cleaning person said were closed you can go that way. Then as were disconnecting our lines our water got shut off because someone else forgot to unplug there hose and ripped it right off the line smh so also unable to clean our lines smh very unprofessional and stereotypical and unorganized. Didn't compensate me for anything as I discussed the situation with the manager and the owner. This koa is not the one to go to...go somewhere else the one in French quarters is perfect just hard to book read more
