So I'm not sure what happened... But the whole atmosphere of this store has changed to a snooty and almost rude atmosphere. While the associates were there to assist, they were a bit abrupt and off putting than my initial visit to this store. Still a big fan of their merchandise minus the sheer pants (yes, I've tried the new non sheer pants and, yes, they are still sheer). Preferred method of shopping for lulu items is still via online... My first time going here and it will definitely be the last time. I was browsing and hoping to find a good leggings. But the staff were being so rude & racist. They were checking on me as if they assumed I was stealing something. One of the girls came up and asked forcefully whether i was ready to go to the fitting room. The materials they use to make their yoga gear is top of the line. The yoga pants are to die for. They are so slimming, so comfortable, and last a long time. When you wear them you feel transformed and excited to be running around in them. The hoodies! OMG! Everyone has to own at least one. The staff were all friendly and extremely helpful in helping me find the correct sizes and answering all my questions. I was able to pick up a number of great items. Had something put on hold at this store. Drove to PDX from Wilsonville the following morning. The store opened 12 minutes late due to a Yoga class. The store was NOT prepared for the day. There was Yoga equipment and members all over the store. The rounders were pushed to the fringes of the store and there was not 1 staff member prepared to service the potential paying customers. Upon complaint, I was informed that this is quite normal and someone would be with us as soon as they were available. WHAT?? Aren't you open!! 20 minutes after the store was supposed to be opened, I was finally help. Only to find out that the item I had called and put on hold was sold without apology. I did leave a message for the store manager to call me and after 5 days of waiting, I have received no response. I did call the corporate number on the website to inform them of the lack of service, the staff not following posted operational hours, the lack of good will and the HUGE liability problem they have with allowing the free for all of Yoga equipment, bodies and rounders of clothing left haphazardly all over the sales floor. read more

I decided it was time to try some Lulu stuff with the caveat that I wanted to find a pair of crop capris that weren't too sheer. First time to a Lululemon store and went to downtown Portland location. Not one sales associate said hello when I walked in the front door. Laura the associate started helping me as I told her I had never owned a pair of Lululemon. I preceded to tell her I am a personal trainer and work with women who told me I had to have a pair. Laura told me about the different legging's pulled a few things for me to try on. She put me in a dressing room and I started trying on clothes, legging, sports bras, workout tops. She was attentive for a few minutes bringing me different sizes and then I stood in dressing room for what seemed like forever. It was too long so I got dressed and left dressing room only to see Laura helping someone else and she walked over to my dressing room where I had left clothes and she cleared them out and put another buyer in my room. She didn't even look at me, nobody said a word to me and I walked out! I will never buy a piece of Lululemon no matter how much women love them. Very disappointed. read more

Honestly not the biggest selection of products here since it's such a small shop, but SHOUTOUT to the awesome staff here. Especially Keigan (spelling?) and the girls who helped us out - they really took the time to fine tune what we wanted from our leggings, asking questions from our lifestyle and workout habits to our expectation of use of them. Let's just say it: Lululemon makes the best yoga pants in the history of yoga pants. Prove me wrong, I dare you. The store at NW Couch is clean, well-staffed (that is to say: staffed with friendly, engaging, non-pushy salespeople) and generally well-stocked. I love their dressing rooms--has anyone else noticed that you always look bangin' in those three-way mirrors?--and their clothes are made to last. I have lululemon pants from 5 years ago that STILL make my ass look amazing. No joke. I've generally been more impressed with their yoga/lifestyle clothes than their running or high-impact clothes. (Confidential to my fellow DDs: the "Ta-Ta Tamer" is a lie!). But that's not to say that their running line hasn't improved drastically in the last few years. I have high hopes for their running stuff in 2012 and beyond. I'm rating this company at just four stars because of their laaaame return policy. It does seem a little weird that such a peace-loving, I'm-okay-you're-okay business model would embrace one of the most unaccommodating return policies I've ever encountered. I once tried to return a shirt I got for my husband; he'd taken the tag off to wear around the house and then realized it was a little too small, and they did not offer to exchange it. With prices like theirs, I think they could afford a little flexibility here, y'know? And isn't flexibility the whole point? Anyway, rant over. Lulu kicks ass. I've been to plenty of lulus and I have never had this type of experience. That being said I've also been to this Lululemon and had a better experience than the one I just recently experienced. When I walked in it smelled like stinky feet and sweat the employees were singing when I was trying to get help for an exchange when I finally got the correct pant and finally exchanged my item I asked a red haired employee with glasses for help finding a crop top T-shirt.....She then asked if a long sleeve crop top was what I was looking for and I said again no T-shirt then she pulled out a tank top turtleneck crop top and I said no I'm looking for a T-shirt again and then she pulled out another long sleeve crop top and I finally decided that she was an idiot and I would have better luck online. I'm still regretting not telling her she's the most ditsy person I've dealt with all day. To top it off she was very bitchy when I left. read more

I love this place. I come here for free yoga twice a week and I'm always so happy that the store is closed cuase man, I could do some damage in here. The clothes are great, very stylish and practical. Some of the tanks and jackets could definitely be worn in a non-athletic way. But everything is so expensive! Totally a "meh" experience. The gals working there were less than friendly and no one bothered to ask me if they could get a room started for me even though my hands were full. It's not like there were a ton of shoppers in the store so I guess they were just not interested in helping me. I asked for and was given a dressing room and told that someone would grab a different size for me if I needed it. I asked for one pair of shorts in a smaller size. The employee grabbed me another pair but they were the wrong style. I brought them out to her and asked her if she could please look for the other ones. Being male, it's weird to want yoga clothing at all. Being nerdy, it's perfectly normal to want Star Trek clothes that you can wear for a year without noticing them come apart at all, that look good enough to pass for office casual but are still high performance in yoga class, and that make you look pretty sleek. Someday, away teams will wear this stuff, I swear. Their prices are for girls, though, which is a bad thing. If they didn't have good long-term warranties on their gear (and zero competition when it comes to male yoga clothing that looks acceptable everywhere) I would NOT want to pay for it. You look for the stuff online, it's the same; pretty close to impossible to find on sale. The only reason for four instead of five stars is the price, which I assume people that don't have glassblowing to spend all their money on wouldn't balk at. Anyways. Were it not for the price, (and their tendency to stock dark colors for men almost exclusively) I would have like five super-suits. It'd be awesome. read more

Lululemon is SO expensive. But, they have the most focused collection of yoga gear EVER. Its a pretty big store too, so you have a lot to choose from. They have a lot of solid pieces in bold colors. You can get any basic you want there: bra, tank, pants, shorts, long sleeves. You name it they have it. They also offer a lot of clever and or trendy pieces. I particularly like their bra-tank from last season - It was completely reversible and adorable. They offer free yoga classes a few times a week. Check their website for current times. SO in love with my new align pants! The tag says "you'll feel naked" and it's no joke. The basis of their appeal was that the seam between the thighs is split with extra material in the center so your legs aren't rubbing on the seam and wearing them out so quickly. Well worth the money! The staff was super helpful. Two different girls jumped on the opportunity to help me choose what I wanted based on what I was going to be doing and got me into a fitting room and made me feel like a super model the whole time. :) read more

I came into the store to exchange two pairs of lulus I bought only a few months ago because they don't even stay up and are pilling. Another employee previously told me to come back and exchange them, so I did. When I arrived, the woman already had an attitude with me exchanging my pants. She helped me find one pair but when I tried to get a second pair that I liked, she basically told me no I couldn't get them because they were too similar to the ones I was exchanging. Then she showed me more online but I didn't want any of them, so she "ughed" me and was giving me an attitude. She then said she would give me a gift card so I could just buy the pair I want, that she wasn't allowing me to buy. She then smirked at me and then gave a glare. She did this again when she said have a nice day and went "". Will never be returning to this location. Love Lulu and adore the employees! They are personable, will find the right fit for you and help in any way possible. Recently I had a bad purchase -the stitching on reflective shorts were not sewn properly. This caused bad chaffing on my thigh and Lulu happily took the shorts back & gave me store credit. I love it that they provide group runs & various yoga/fitness sessions throughout the month. I'm totally looking forward the the upcoming Urban Adventure Race. Wow. They train their employees very well here. I am really impressed by how friendly and helpful the staff was! They all seemed like they wanted to be there. It's a really welcoming and warm environment. I went in for a pair of yoga pants- as most people do- fully aware that it would be expensive. I heard that Lululemon was open so we decided to take the 45 minute walk. When we got there, they were at capacity so we decided to wait. About 5 minutes later someone came out but there was 3 of us, so we waited. And, waited. And, waited. We were looking in the store and there wasn't anyone in the front area. I'm assuming they can have only a low number of people in the store at any given time due to the small space. The problem is, 90% of those people work there! About 3 people came out, so we tried to go in. Did we get in? NOOE!!! They were all employees. Do we really need 2 or 3 employees for each shopper? We got frustrated and left. I'm a big fan of Lululemon (One can tell because my closet and drawers are full of Lululemon clothes.), but I think it's time to try Birddog!!! Lululemon, it was fun while it lasted! I just came home from an incredible shopping experience from Lululemon Pearl District. Last week I purchased a pair of pants and took advantage of their complimentary hemming, When I went to pick them up I noticed that they were a little too short for my liking, but was nervous to take them back because I had heard such bad stories about lulu's return policy. Well, this morning I got up the guts to take them in to discuss my options of possibly getting the hem taken out and redone a little lower. I also brought in my absolute favorite zip-up hoodie with a worn zipper that I purchased years ago. I was so impressed with the service that I received! They took back my pants, no questions asked and re-pinned another pair to get hemmed, AND they took my hoodie and sent it in to get the zipper replaced (they had also given me the option of exchanging for a store credit). Best part? They are sending me my jacket to my home free of charge when it is repaired!! I must say, as a lmt and yoga instructor I live in my yoga attire and I am so impressed with the quality of lululemon clothing and customer service! The prices can seem a little expensive, but you are definitely getting what you pay for. read more

I've been to this location a couple of times and the staff has always been really nice and helpful.

I've been a proud costumer of LuLu for some time now. My shopping sprees always start there and I bring all the women with me. However yesterday's experience blew me away. I've never felt so belittled and was taken back by their extreme presumptuous attitudes. I'm sorry, I shouldn't say 'their,' for it was just the check out woman. I had a first timer with me and she started off small by getting four or five pieces of clothing. I figured I would help her because it was only $200 and I get a 15% discount. The woman at the counter stops me puts her hands on the clothes and told me I couldn't buy these clothes unless I was wearing them. This took me back a bit. She had no idea if this was my sister, or roommate. So she didn't know if I was going to wear them or not. I stood back and said, I'll put them on MY card. And she goes "I should take you out of the system and not let you buy these. Don't let a front desk person like me know you're buying clothes for someone else." Let me just say, that someone who spends $600-$1000 every two to three months at LuluLemon, I wouldn't expect a measly 15% off $200 to mean anything. But good to know I shouldn't do my Christmas or birthday shopping there anymore. Because apparently I can only buy things if I wear them. I bring in a crazy amount of business for them as a fitness professional, but you can count on me telling everyone about this experience. read more

I have been into this particular lululemon location at least three times and each of the three times i was not helped by anyone, in fact when picking up clothes and staring at the wall of pants there was an employee folding clothes yet she did not ask me once if i needed help. I do love the fabrics and the clothes are beautiful but shopping in that type of a store with those types of prices deserves at least a hello or a can i help you find anything? I was very dissapointed by the lack of customer service especially because there were not alot of customer and many employees. I probably will not be back in this store for a fourth time. read more

I was in here shopping, and getting some leggings I currently already had, but buying a new color. I told the girl (so sorry, I cant recall her name!) the pair I currently had (which had this amazing side pocket and I loved) kind of bunched at the knee or would stretch especially after wearing it for a bit. I've had the pair for a while and use the hell out of them, so I wasn't sure if this was normal with wear...but I loved them overall, and was buying a second color, I just wanted to make sure they were the right fit. (I hated that this happened for what they cost, but I loved the side pocket so I was torn...) She said that what I was describing wasn't normal and recommended I maybe size down (I very rarely buy this size especially in tight fitting clothing lol), or to try them on for them. My gym bag was in my car, so I ran and grabbed them and tried them on for them to see. She immediately looked and said "Oh no, they should not be fitting you like that" so, I tried the size down...perfect! No knee bunching, and I don't have to pull them up at all during my workouts...(which I didn't mention to them either...) We even did the squat test to ensure they didn't get sheer...and then they swapped them out without hesitation. Super awesome service and very helpful, thanks ladies! *For reference I'm 5'10, 153 lbs and the 8 is the size that bunched and stretched a bit, 6 was perfect. ***One thing I DON'T like about this store is how the sale merchandise is setup. Its just mixed in with their regular clothing, so if you want to find something specific on sale, its quiet the hassle. I know its because it depends on whats available, but you can still have a rack or something like every single other store does (lol insert eye roll here) I didn't dock the store because I'm assuming Lululemon wants this setup on purpose, but it's really annoying and doesn't encourage me to purchase any more if thats what your hope is lol but the service was so awesome I'm not docking them for this....but me and everyone else finds this very annoying Lululemon. read more

I had shopped in Lululemon stores before but had never bought anything. It always seemed a bit pricey. I decided it was time to bite the bullet and buy some great quality yoga gear. The store was super busy when I was in there because of their end of season sale. I managed to find a bunch of stuff to try on and waited for a fitting room. While in there, the woman working the fitting rooms only asked me if I needed any help when I was finally putting my own clothes back on. I could hear her helping all the other people in the fitting rooms and helping some people way more than others. I had to ask my boyfriend to find me other sizes because when I came out to ask for them she was either with other people or not around at all. I would recommend they consider having more than one person working the fitting rooms. With as many as they have, one person isn't enough to cover all of them when full. This wasn't her fault by any means, just poor planning. I found a pair of capri yoga pants which I was super happy with and purchased. I will shop from Lulu again but I'll wait for a time when they are either less busy or better staffed. read more
