I really hate to leave poor reviews on companies I really believe in--but the customer service provided was so disappointing. I called the store to confirm their corporate quality insurance policy. I was told that if I wanted to replace my leggings I could anytime no questions asked. Megan was very kind and helpful over the phone. I got to the store to replace the leggings and the Asian American woman at the counter was beyond hostile, rude, and downright unpleasant. She basically interrogated me and implied like I was trying to scam them out of a new pair of leggings. I spent over $100 on a pair and I expect they don't fall apart in 3 months. She kept telling me that I could not do this again and get a new pair. She kept pushing like I was committing a crime for following the corporate policy protocol of quality insurance. She was very short and would cut me off when I tried explaining I already spoke with another associate and they confirmed my eligibility for my new set of leggings. It was my birthday--I never have time to shop for myself and I felt like my shopping trip was ruined by how this woman made me feel. My sister spoke to the manager about this rude woman and he was very sympathetic and apologized. I just can't believe they hire people like this. This associate was the worse and made me not want to come by this location anymore. I understand we have bad days--but this was beyond anything I've ever encountered in my years as a shopper in luxury/upscale retail. To the mean cashier--I hope your broken finger heals along with your awful attitude and demeanor towards others. I hope you can find a job where you're not miserable, because girl do better. read more

This review is solely for the manager of this store. The employees here have always been super nice and helpful in a genuine way. The manager, on the other hand, gave me the worst customer service I've ever received. I came in last night due to a price discrepancy. I bought a bag in the store the day before on final sale (so no returns, otherwise this wouldn't be an issue), and then saw later that day it was $20 cheaper online. I came in and told an employee what was up and she said she'd get her manager. I happened to glance over my shoulder as they were talking and saw the manager roll her eyes and let out an exasperated sigh when she heard what the issue was. Obviously, it was not meant to be seen by me, but it was done in the middle of the store in front of everyone, and I saw it. Not a good way to start our interaction. I get that customers can be petty about small amounts of money, but this wasn't over a dollar or 2, it was $20.... I can buy a lot of things for that, maybe not at Lululemon, but at other stores. Then the manager basically told me there was nothing she could do about the price difference, basically, it was my bad that I didn't look up the price of the item online before buying it in store to make sure I was getting the cheapest price. Noted. Now I know that standard prices mean nothing to Lululemon, so you need to do price searching before making purchases. The price difference issue was annoying, but the manager's terrible attitude is what compelled me to write this review. I've never seen such poor customer service before. I won't let this experience stop me from buying lululemon because it's all I use, but man... The customer service here is by far thee worst service I've ever had. I'm normally an online shopper so this is my second experience here, but after this I'm going to stick to online shopping. 1st experience was fine. I purchased over $300.00 worth of items and was pretty happy about the convenience and being able to get the exact size that's right for me. 2nd experience wasn't so great. I come in looking to spend a lot of money. The girl in the fitting room was super helpful and got me exactly what I needed and the super cute guy who helped me get a room was also great. The cashiers on the other hand, were rude and not welcoming. It almost hurt to give the cashier(s) -because there were two blondes standing there, my credit card because I felt so disrespected. As I was pulling my credit card out of my wallet, with my back turned against them, I quickly turn back around and they were talking about my back. I was wearing a Lulu sports bra and I GUESS they found the need to talk about a pinch of fat I have over my teres major. I was dumbfounded. I couldn't believe it and very surprised I kept my cool. They proceeded with "all set?" Not even a,"Hi! Did you find everything you needed or looking for?" Pft. I've worked in retail my whole life, and this has been by far the rudest most disgusting experience. To those body shamers; little do you know, I work my ass off at the gym. I went in to purchase my wife pants as a honeymoon gift since she had never had any before. They were stolen from us after the store closed. We went back the next day to ask if anything could be done and the manager smiled at us and said that because we didn't have the stolen pants with us, she couldn't do anything. Unfortunately, I have to rate this Lululemon 2 stars not because of the quality of the clothes (because everyone knows Lululemon is amazing) but because I left a pair of pants to be hemmed and they LOST THEM. We bought a pair of the ABC pants which were a little too long on my boyfriend. So the sales person informed us that they do free hemming! Great! She said the pants would be ready for pick up in 3 days. So we go to pick up the pants exactly a week from the day we purchased and they couldn't find them. So I opted to take a new pair and get them fixed at a tailor. Really annoyed. read more

1. I am always in between sizes at Lululemon. The 4 is too small, a 6 can sometimes be okay but not the best fit and then an 8 is huge. Also, the fabrics used for their workout crops and pants are so thick; awful fabric...I don't know how anybody gets a good shape being squeezed into their awful Lycra blend pants. The long sleeves are made for girls who are 6 feet tall and have ultra long arms. 2. When I was in this particular location, my anxiety was on an all time high. I had about 6 employees come up to me reciting random facts about specific pieces of clothing. Employees, I'm glad you know everything there is to know about every single item in the store, but I don't care. I want to shop in peace and don't enjoy to be badgered by every employee in the store about what kind of workouts I do and how I'll be using the clothing and if I know the difference of every single pair of running shorts. read more

I was wearing some terrible yoga pants from Wal Mart and had a yoga class. When I bent over I might as well just signed up to be a plumber. I knew I had to get a new pair but where was I going to get yoga pants on a Sunday at 10am in the morning?? LULULEMON! Location: Lululemon Athletica is located in the 3rd Street Promenade on the corner of Broadway and Third St Promenade...pretty much the main walkway of 3rd Street Promenade. Parking: There are many public parking structure littered all over the place as well as street parking. I opted for the parking on 2nd street...it's free for the first 90 minutes and I was there for maybe 15 minutes so it was painless for me. Lululemon Athetica: As soon as I walked in I was immediately greeted by the girl who was folding the clothes...see the thing I love about Lululemon is that when people help you they truly want to help you. Perks of working at a store that promotes yoga maybe? Happy/Good vibes? I went immediately to the back where I was helped finding yoga pants in the color I want with a high fitting shape. I normally wear the wunder under pant but I ended up buying something different and I'm totally in love! I definitely want to go back and get a onesie. YASS It was quick and after I bought my pants I changed from my awful workout pants to some amazing and comfortable pants. Oh...also my measurements are 34- 26- 42...so yes I have a large ass...sorry nothing I can do about that and I've never had a problem with the see through issue. This store is pretty large and they have a nice selection and a lot of fitting rooms. Bought pants and tops here and I really like that they offer to hem(and re-hem if necessary) your pants for free within 2 days. You would think that given you are spending at least $100 bucks every time you shop here you that you would be entitled to some decent service. Most of the times that I've been here I've gotten pretty bad service. It almost feels like I'm bothering the staff when I ask them to do their job and just get me a fitting room. Paige is probably the nicest employee at any lululemon that I've ever experienced. Long story short, there was an honest mixup between myself and another customer who wanted a particular item, with that item(last one in the whole country), being sold to them instead. She ended up taking care of me even though I put the mixup on the other customer. Her offer was more than kind and exceeded my every expectation. Lululemon has a really good employee here and probably deserves a raise, extra PTO day, and some kind of official recognition. Thanks Paige for all you do!!! read more

This is one of the larger Lululemons that I have been to. The staff is well trained and helpful. There is a large men's section and the women's section is well stocked and spacious . I always find my size which is nice as those who shop for this active wear know the sizes go quickly. I also find that I can buy what I need and am in and out quickly. I love that ! And of course the quality of the clothes is great and they rarely wear out ! read more

We can't say enough great things about Davis at the 3rd Street lululemon location. He was personable, efficient, engaged, fashionable and just energetic enough to make us sure he'd help us process our exchange smoothly. Which he did. Lululemon Corporate needs to re-examine who they hire! Either their personnel standards are slipping, or one nasty sales girl with a holier than thou attitude slipped through the cracks. In either case,quality control needs to step in, (and I don't mean to fix the garments) rather to help some of the sales people remember their roots, and get off of their high horses. this location is the absolute worst. one of the "educators" gave me a very hard time when i tried to return items i paid WITH MY OWN MONEY! i accidentally missed placed the receipt from my order pick up. so i called Lululemon customer service, i spoke to the guest educator, explained to him the situation with the receipt. i was unaware that you can create returns online as long as you have the order number and email address that was used when placing orders. i had both information so i was able to create the return receipt online and it gave me an option to return at a nearby store so why not right ? i stopped by at the third street promenade location. i stood in line and i was called next by a male educator and a female educator. i believe the male educator was new. he was nice. however female educator was unfriendly, when i was in line she gave me a look , i ignored it. i'm at the register trying to return the items that were bought with my OWN money. i showed the male educator my receipt, then the female educator stepped in and asked for my original receipt with my payment method showing. i told her " i don't have the original receipt and that i was told i can use the receipt i have now " she then proceeded to say " oh we need to see what payment method you used " i zoomed in and showed her on the online receipt it shows the payment method " i'm sure she felt some kind of way that i zoomed in the receipt and it clearly showed the payment method. oh and not to mention she said the receipt i showed is to mail back the items. i said " NO " ! it says " pop into a store -speak to our store educators, who will happily process your return or exchange ". i'm not sure what her issue was BUT it's clear my online return receipt is the prove of my purchased if not, why would the system allow me to create a return? make that make sense. because it absolutely does not make sense to me lol . it was the worst experience of my life having to deal with her. oooh and last not forget she asked me " are you okay " i should have said " no , i'm not okay " i have never experienced anything like this before at any of the locations. why she was acting like the money i was getting back coming out of her paycheck. she was short, probably early 30's , with a mole on her nose. AND if you see this, do better and educate yourself more about customers being able to create a return receipt online, it's on the website for a REASON !!! read more

Seriously phenomenal. Alexis at this store is a complete life saver and doll. I had a hole in one of my favorite Lulu pants and went in on a limb to see if they may be able to do anything. She went out of her way to make sure I left happy and taken care of. Honestly I get that $100+ is a lot for yoga pants, but I'm also a firm believer that unless you wear them for a day, you have nooooo idea. I was probably one of the last people in Los Angeles to have never stepped foot in a Lululemon store, until today. Having always been a Nike fan, I was happier with the store's level of variety in terms of sizing, inseam, and style than I typically am with other brands. Also, I've always had the notion that Lululemon was a store filled with condescending customers and staff based on social media and reviews from friends. However - the customer service here was great! This brand, in general, really need to make an effort in the selection of the retail sales teams. Service is a disaster: Went today to get a new yoga tank shirt at the Santa Monica store, almost felt they were competing with customers...unbelievable. Sales man was poking around the store as if he was in representation, the lady at the back could not be more uptight and the cashier who had social anxiety could never finish a phrase with a please or a thank you... RETAIL is a serious matter and sale a vocation so why not recruit Strong/Approachable, smily (or at least attitude free) and polite people who really need to work. Other than that, i find the men collection frustrating in terms of fabric and colors, its always the same. We wish we had more styles and colors. read more

I love lululemon and own quite a lot of its outfits, they are so comfortable to wear, and so stylish and durable. However, it doesn't mean all of the shopping experiences are as good as the product itself. Complaint to the Santa Monica Lululemon store on Third Street Promenade at Broadway: Tried to call them for an hour yesterday and no answer, desperately wanting a specific vest that was on WMTM online and they had 3 in stock as they're out everywhere else in the size and color I wanted to purchase, within the hour of trying to reach them (yes past the opening hours, their time frame is same as mine) they picked up the phone but to only leave me online w/o acknowledging me whatsoever, I can hear them doing transactions with guest at the store, while I was online, no one bothered to answer and ask if I could hold on for a moment, as I'm on the phone they purposely ignored me and making it difficult for other guest to get a call in for their needs. I hung up after a minute of disbelief, I immediately went straight to GEC through Lululemon to file a complaint towards this store for poor guest service and failed to make another potential sale I really wanted to get! That is a NO NO service as I KNOW Lululemon frowns upon on this behavior! Looks like I'm not the only one that had poor service experience with this store! Ladies and gentlemen, please report it to Lululemon GEC, they will make a file report and then it will be handled! read more

I understand it is an athletic store and the employee dress down, but it makes the environment very unprofessional especially because of their behavior.
