This was an easy 5 star review! We stopped in for breakfast and they had a lot of great breakfast choices. I ended up ordering an iced latte and a breakfast sandwich that was on a bagel. Both items I got were on special listed on the board. They have a huge menu! We also ordered a slice of their butter loaf for our toddler. Oh my gosh. I can't believe it took this long for an update. Lulu's is one of the best coffee shops in Indianapolis. My go-to order is still their iced dirty chai, but I like to add an extra shot of espresso and with the spiced chai. I also highly recommend the breakfast sandwich with the spicy feta! I stopped by with my niece for afternoon pick me up. I got a mango banana smoothie and niece got a Toffee Tastic, oh and some kind of cake I can't remember what is was. The drinks were made perfectly and the cake was moist and melted in your mouth. The service was good and we were greeted right away. It didn't take long to prepare our drinks. Inside of the coffee were plenty of tables for you to sit and chat, read a book or study. I do want to come back and try other drinks. Their spring coffee menu is particular. read more

I'm pretty sure someone recommended this place to me years ago, but I just now made it here to enjoy gingerbread latte season. It's a very unassuming shop, sitting in a strip mall, but they pack in some seating to make it tempting to stick around in. It was actually relatively busy when I arrived on a weekday morning, but I made it up to order when there was a gap, so I was able to order right away. I ordered their version of a gingerbread latte and a couple of cookies, and I barely had a chance to look around before my drink was ready. I thought the coffee and sweets were good. The pricing was comparable to what you'd see at a lot of coffee shops, so yeah, it's not inexpensive, but I quite enjoyed my drink. Could definitely see myself stopping by again read more

Lulus is an underrated coffee shop in Indianapolis. The place is not talked about enough! They have super tasty seasonal drinks. I got the Croah which is a latte with espresso, strawberry, earl grey, and honey. The staff were nice. Only complaints in my opinion are not enough comfy seating and I wish they had some sort of loyalty program. They do have a ton of fresh baked goods and quiches. I can't believe I've missed this cute coffee shop, especially living on the nw side! My co-worker recommended we meet here for a quick meeting. Very friendly service, with a 90's coffee shop vibe! The foot traffic stayed steadily busy with several tables filled with customers. They have such a vast variety of flavors, food and treats. I got the seasonal Winter Wedding hot coffee with the egg and cheese sandwich on an English muffin. The iced sugar cookie tempted me so I added that to my order ... it was good! Lulu's coffee and bakehouse has been on my list for almost 2 years now so I am glad I could try it. Lulus is like your local neighborhood coffee shop with all the premium coffee and variety of coffee options. I am a coffee snob and I love it when I find a good coffee with good flavor profiles. I also tried a rich cookie/protein ball with the goodness of oats, bananas, hemp seeds and flax seeds. Not at all sweet which is exactly what I wanted. I enjoyed my morning and Lulus is a keeper! read more

LuLu's has been around for a long time, and since I moved, I only visit when I'm in the area. They are located between Planet Fitness and Nina Nails. The staff is friendly and dedicated to making your experience enjoyable. My usual order is a chai tea, but on this occasion, I opted for the featured matcha. While it was good, it felt like it was missing something. I also noticed that, like many other coffee shops, their prices are reaching an all-time high. Despite that, I will continue to support them as long as I can. I particularly enjoy their decaf coffee drinks, as well as the quiches and pastries. It's definitely worth returning for. Cute little coffee shop and bake house near st Vincent. I usually can't come here because they close at 3 and that's when I get off. Their coffee is amazing. I got a hazelnut pistachio latte and eeyores gloom. Both were delicious. Gloom was a little sweet but yummy and the latte was yummy and nutty. I also got a cookie butter cookie. I hope to go again for coffee sometime. They have the best combinations. Oh and the customer service is happy go lucky! read more

Boggles my mind how they figure nine dollars for a chai, I noticed some cheap sugar powder from a plastic box was mixed into cinnamon, coconut milk, and hot water for my cinnamon toast crunch drink. It was sucrose flavored tea. Absolutely right on for Dunkin Donuts or most anywhere without a care for at most four dollars. I used to think Provider and Coat Check Coffee downtown were getting sassy with similar prices for their house made milks, syrups, and fine brew however this place certainly wins on shameless price gouging. I was happy with the many outlets for my laptop, upbeat chirpy service, and good location however no way could any deep pockets ever accommodate less than Starbucks quality for double the price. read more

Lulu's is a hip little coffee shop that is a welcome alternative to the popular chains. They are located in a strip mall and attract local regulars, work out people and hospital staff. The staff is super welcoming and friendly. The coffee is good and they also serve a few sandwiches, tempting quiche and assorted pastries. The food is made to order, but comes out fairly quick. The sandwich was tasty and toast crunchy. The bacon was pretty thin - you can see through it. But the sandwich hit the spot. This is a cute coffee shop I almost drove right by! It's in a little strip mall very close to Fresh Thyme. A lot of people were enjoying coffee in this relaxed shop, but there was no long wait and there were still empty seats. It was a nice vibe all around. I was going to say that my favorite thing was the festive holiday drink menu (Fa-la-la Latte? Yes, please), but it was really the service. Wish I had gotten the barista's name - he was so friendly! Why did it take me forever to check this place out?! It's spacious, has quite a few places to sit and do work. The playlist is great, they have breakfast options, more than just pastries. The two guys that were working had the BEST personality and would check on the clients that were hanging out. I tried their egg white, spinach and cheddar sandwich, which wasn't anything I'd get again. I'm sure the egg patty was one that comes from the frozen section, which is fine when I do it at home. They have quite the menu for coffee as well that I'll need to come back to try. They have a few that were the top sellers last year so of course one must try them all and a pastry of course. Also for those of you that like to work in a cafe, they do offer free WiFi for 3 hours. You can purchase more after that. It's a nice space with plenty of options and great service. This place doesn't look much from the outside strip mall. But when you go inside, everything is clean and everyone is friendly. The service was quick. I went for a special event. I was very pleased with the pastries and the coffee. There is a few seats outside if you want to sit out and enjoy the beautiful weather. If you've not been to this location, go check them out! Wanna know a secret? Maybe not a secret, but there is a little French pastry pop-up called Beurre Sec that is to die for. We stumbled upon it months ago by accident because I love Lulu's coffee and have been going every pop up ever since. First, Lulu's coffee. Latte's are delicious and I love all the seasonal drinks they have. The pastries they have are good and my favorite is the quiche! Beurre Sec. Come early because the line can get crazy. I've been there right when Lulu's open and there is already a line wrapped around inside and things sell out quick (even if you arrive just minutes after they open). A little pricey, but worth it! The pastries are delicious and beautiful. The menu changes every pop up, but it's exciting to see what all she has to offer. 10/10 recommend! read more

FAVORITE coffee shop in Indianapolis by far! I'm a sucker for their vanilla chai, hot or iced. Their dirty chai and cold brew is wonderful too. Prices are a tad higher than I'm used to but it's worth it for the quality and to shop & support local. Breakfast sandwiches are also great, too. Cheap product, expensive prices. Classic. $14 for a microwaved quiche ($10) and self-served coffee ($4). Quiche was served with plastic fork, coffee was burnt. Ambiance nonexistent -- loud. The only two things they had going was: quiche, thankfully, was at least served in a plate (the only real thing in the whole place); and they didn't have music on -- at least people stood a chance for hearing each other over the blender and other competing conversations. Lulu's is a local warm and cozy coffee shop on 86th St next to Planet Fitness. This has been my favorite place for years to stop in for their delicious coffee and study/work for some focused time. Their drinks are absolutely amazing as are their baked goods. Food items and customer service is pretty neutral - not great, not bad, just functional. The environment is great and tables always have regulars that share their mornings together. They have beautiful seasonal artwork that always makes you smile. They also offer slices of apple pie, as well as three different types of quiche, scones, several cookies, crispy rice bars and baked oatmeal, and that's just what I remember off the top of my head. If you're looking for quality baked goods, Lulu's got you. There is also a menu full of breakfast and lunch options, which I didn't even get to, but I'll be back to check them out another time. Oh, and of course, Lulu's has coffee. I got the drip coffee, which you dispense yourself from a carafe. There were three different varieties: Ethiopian coffee, a cinnamon-chocolate-hazelnut variety, and a decaf coffee option. I did the thing where you add a bit of everything into your cup (I was freezing crazy), and it was so good. The coffee was strong but smooth, and had just a hint of flavor. If you want something fancier than a drip cup, they also offer made-to-order drinks. Lulu's has outdoor seating, too! That's always nice for us people who opt to sit outside during this pandemic. read more

Unassuming delicious, fun, coffee shop! My only complaint is that it isn't closer to my house. It is a perfect place to meet a friend or work alone. They have indoor and outdoor seating. I really like their coffee. It is not too acidic and it is the perfect strength. They have rotating seasonal drinks that look very good. I have only tried one of their baked goods- a peach stone and it is delicious. It is also very inexpensive compared to other coffee shops. Unfortunately, they are closed on Sundays. read more

Really loved it here. A fairly traditional Starbucks-vibe--certainly not an Indie coffee house by any means. But they had some different options from their more famous competitor. The cookie we had was wonderful, the drinks were prepared well, and the staff were all friendly. The general atmosphere was inviting, and it seemed like a good place to work or study if you're looking for that. Definitely worth a stop if you're in this part of town and want somewhere to sit for a minute and enjoy a snack and a good coffee drink. read more

They also tried to tempt me with the roast beef special, which honestly looked great, but at 10:30 in the morning I just couldn't fully commit to roast beef yet. Maybe next time. The new name is a nice tribute to the owner's mother, Arleen, but thankfully it still feels like the Milktooth so many of us have come to enjoy over the years. Chicken with a few dumplings - We all loved this. Three desserts to share: a cheesecake with fruit on top, one a bread pudding and a chocolate crisp. To be honest, the booze situation at Rize is a little anemic, but I don't think Rize is really the place to order anything alcoholic beyond a mimosa or bloody Mary. The seating inside Rize feels like it's at a premium, because depending on when you visit, there is very little of it.
