Fun spot, friendly staff, good parking options, fast wifi, and nicely decorated main room, however my ube latte with almond milk was over eight bucks before tip. No hand crafted syrup, not balanced with quality espresso or rewarding any sip like a cup double the cost of Panera! I don't understand these Indy coffee shops tempting ten bucks for one drink. Blue Mind, Bovaconti, Gaia, Coat Check, Tinker, and others play in the pricy park because they offer house made ingredients and a sublime coffee craft. Profrock does neither sadly, no discount for my personal cup, nothing here that feels like high end java.

My daughter had told me about this place so I decided to give it a try. It is a little difficult to find as the entrance seems to be in the back but once we found it we were fine. It is very nice and airy inside. I ordered at the counter and got a lavender vanilla latte. I found a table and they brought the drink over when they had finished making it. The place is small but it is very inviting. The ladies behind the counter were very nice and cheery. The drink itself was excellent but I thought it was a bit expensive for the size. Apparently if you order to go they put your drink in a can for you. My daughter raved about that- will have to try that next time I go there.

I like the coffee (sweet chocolatey roast) / more on the milky side but you can taste the coffee decently well), very subtle aftertaste of ube Wanted to try their matcha but the pics look a little bit too light green for me Pretty relaxed atmosphere, barista welcomed you in

I mean when a coffee looks this beautiful how can it taste anything but amazing! Love the to go cans they serve their drinks in but even more I love their coffee, it's such a smooth espresso with the best flavor. If there is a line, it's worth the wait and they are pretty quick at getting drinks out.

My journey to find coffee I enjoy and try all the local coffee shops brought me to Prufrock's newest location in Carmel. Judging from the very long line out the door, this must be pretty great. Right?? The interior is cute; love the book wall (I am a librarian afterall)! Not a ton of seating and every spot was full plus the line to get in congested up the space, making it crowded when waiting for your order and trying to get out the door. I did not try the pastries, but the coffee? Very average. I had a vanilla honey latte that was served in a can. I really don't love when drinks come like that. I can't explain it but I think it always makes them taste off. My latte was basically flavored milk. Hardly any coffee taste and the syrup flavors were pretty weak too. I don't think, based on this experience, that I would return.

I've been trying to find the place with the cool canned coffee for awhile - and finally found it! I'm always excited to try a new coffee place. It's small, so the line always looks crazy long. It was totally worth the wait though. I wish there was outdoor seating or a place for my dog and I to wait. We usually wait in the small grass area... that now has a trailer in it lol. That's the only downside I've found!

Really cute coffee shop! Definitely was a little hard to find at first and parking was a struggle. I really liked their pastry offerings and the sausage breakfast sandwich I ordered was pretty good! I ordered a matcha latte and I thought it was just OK. Matcha didn't have much flavor. I gave it to my friend and ordered a Turkish coffee instead, which was good! I gave it four stars because the service was just not that great. The guy at the register was very new and didn't know the answers to my questions, which I understand. It was the people in the back making the drinks and bringing the drinks out that gave off a really prickly vibe. If you asked them for anything they just kind of stared at you like you were inconveniencing them. I still recommend checking out the shop! Hopefully other customers have a better experience with the service than I did. I also love their packaging!

Honestly was so excited to try this place after seeing many influencers talking about it but I was underwhelmed. The turkey sandwich was really good but there was nothing special about it. The ube latte - I think called purple haze was not bad but I've had better. The service was great! The guy gave recommendations and talked with us about the different menu options, answering all of our questions. Unfortunately the place was also kind of dirty. From the bathrooms to the tables. I had to clean off my own table because there was no clean one.

The way they can their to-go iced drinks is a game changer! It makes it easy to shake and mix everything together before popping it open to enjoy. I tried two seasonal drinks on my visit: the purple haze and lavender velvet. I love an Ube drink so the purple haze was my favorite but both were very good! I wish the espresso flavor was just a tiny bit stronger so I might opt for an extra shot next time. Service was friendly and my drinks came out quickly. I look forward to coming back next time I'm in the area. It's the perfect spot if you're walking the Monon and want to stop off for some caffeine!

Prufrock had a very relaxing atmosphere with plenty of seating available. The staff is extremely kind and knowledgeable in everything they had. I loved the easy to-go plastic can for the matcha.

Newest coffee shop in Carmel in a good convenient location. I was trying to keep my dogs outside and a sweet barista told me they are dog friendly! BONUS! I ordered a chocolaty gooey chocolate cake and americano both of which were a good combo! The cake was massive quantities which I think was a little much for 1 person. Either ways I was happy with my visit

Nice new offer shop in Carmel. A bit of an odd location but worth the visit. The workers were friendly and the coffee was very good. I always like when the use actual mugs when staying in to enjoy your drink. A little small inside and the sun can cause some glare at times but still a good place for coffee. I didn't try any food but the pastries looked very good. Will be back.

Very good Turkish coffee. Pastries are overpriced a little but also very good. Comfortable seating, a little loud and be prepared to wait for your breakfast sandwiches. Ours were still a little cold in the middle so these are the reasons for the 3 stars versus 4. We will be back when it's not so busy to try again! Cute vibe and fun for people watching.

This third time I was picking up 18 pastries - 3 different types- all delicious and superbly baked AND a cake. WOW! The cake was amazingly beautiful! delicious and decorated exquisitely with huge intricate frosting flowers and leaves. I'm very very happy with my order- they even helped me carry it to the car. This bakery made my special family party a huge success, everyone enjoyed the food and remarked on how delicious it looked and tasted. Thank you SO much for making the event extra special

The raspberry pistachio croissant? Oh. My. God. This thing had me in a chokehold. Flaky, buttery layers with the perfect balance of tart raspberry and rich pistachio. It wasn't just good -- it was write-home-about-it good. The kind of pastry that makes you pause mid-bite and question every other croissant you've ever had. The second was a croissant sandwich (I wish I could remember the name!), but the way those flavors paired together? Let's just say it was a full culinary experience. Savory, balanced, indulgent -- you get the hint. Every bite just made sense. Now here's the part that really says something: I grew up on the East Coast where authentic French bakeries are everywhere and the cultural standard is high. I know a proper croissant. And this? This was better. Yes, I said it. We even had the chance to speak with the owner, who was incredibly warm and genuine. He checked in to make sure we enjoyed everything -- which we clearly did, considering we left with boxes to take home. This place isn't just a pastry shop. It's an experience. And trust me, it will be a topic of discussion in our house for days. Run. Don't walk.

Super friendly the ladies that work in front are smiling and super cute. They are kind and Friendly my vanilla latte was done real fast and tastes Hmm a bit bitter then what I expected to be which means it was a bit strong for me.. not sweet enough but overall I do recommend this place for any age people to come and chat and relax eat and spend time away from home. My husband went running so I'm chilling here waiting for him. By the way the bathrooms are clean as well. After trying my vanilla latte two times, I end up asking the young ladies to make me another latte because I wanted to try something sweeter and they did it for free and actually was amazing what they gave me. Thanks so much I was not expecting that awesome treatment. Place gets crowded fast and the girls move fast as well. Not disappointed at all... I give it 10 out of 10

I imagine having the support/backing from Heartland Foods helps... The environment at this particular location is okay. I've always been confused by the meeting room in the back, which has no heating and cooling. I'll blame that on whoever took the lead on the buildout. Now for the most important question: How is the coffee? I wouldn't call myself a coffee connoisseur but I'd like to consider myself a decent judge of good quality and flavor. My home coffee preparation process includes: grinding fresh beans to a grain specific for my preferred brewing method (usually Chemex or Aeropress), heating the water to a specific temp based on the bean's country/region of origin, patience, etc. Java House's coffee is not good... I'm fairly certain they use "coffee" powder that's dissolved into water (think Nestle instant coffee) then placed in pressurized kegs that are then either heated or cooled before being poured via a tap. This is not a place you go to experience good coffee. I believe Java House appeals more to certain coffee drinkers who enjoy adding flavors, sweeteners, milks/creams, etc. and not those interested in the art of growing, roasting, brewing, etc. If you're chasing quality coffee in the area, I suggest checking out either Indie Coffee Roasters, Illumine Coffee, or Eggshell (if you can figure out Eggshell's hours). If broken down, my rating would be: 2.5 stars for the successes and environment .5 star for the coffee For the Java House folks: If I'm totally off regarding my assumption of how you brew, please feel free to correct me!
