Cutting edge tech that nobody else has. Incredibly thorough exam. Dr. Eric didn't miss a beat. He was stellar. He helped me with migraines (which nothing has helped thus far). When I put on the glasses my eyes filled with tears (of joy) because of the immediate relief I felt. This is hands down the best optometry clinic around. First time here, so glad I went! Everyone was super friendly. I was greeted the second I walked in, they even knew who I was already I'm sure by looking at their appointments for the day. They kept in mind that I was only there on my lunch break and had to be back to work at a certain time (I had called to notify them that I was on a time crunch in advance, and they actually relayed the message to all staff.) Doctor was super helpful and knowledgeable. He would explain what he was doing, what he was looking at, and what the purpose of that part of my eye was for. I got to see scans of my eyes that they took (never had I seen them before at any other office so this was super neat!). I haven't gotten my eyes checked for years and was due for an appointment. I came to Lumen and the service was amazing! I went through 16 different frames and thanks to Vivian and Michelle they helped me find the perfect pair for my face. Dr. To explained how each instrument and machine works. Everything in the office was so brand new and pristine. I was a very comfortable place and usually I don't feel comfortable at a doctors office but it made me feel at ease and just curious about how everything works. His staff, specifically Tea and Sabrina, were absolutely wonderful. They were so kind and patient with me. Tea was so kind, patient and helpful with the machines they have for checking my eyes and Sabrina with helping me pick out some frames. Our experience has always been a positive one. I didn't think my insurance covered Vision but the front desk staff encouraged me to at least let them check. They saved me hundreds of dollars! I loved my experience at Lumen, and love my new glasses and contacts. I have a pretty strong prescription and have had glasses for now 20 years and it's always a struggle for me to get something I like. Right away I'm happy with my new lenses and appreciate the advice to get dailies rather than monthly contacts due to my job where I have to look at a screen for most of the day. This place is a pretty eye doctors office. I went because it was local but I would rather drive to my old optometrist. They are very nice but the front desk staff do not know what they are doing in regards to helping you use your eye insurance to your benefit. She printed out papers for a one year supply of contacts that I didn't ask for. I only want to use what my insurance covers. Then while waiting she said I could take a seat to wait when there were obviously no seats open for me to sit in (very small front office). The doctor seemed knowledgeable since they have all the tests for your eyes but when giving me a trial supply of contacts I'm usually given my current brand but this place said we'll be giving you a different type of contact today to try. Ummm please explain why you're giving me a different type of contacts (there may have been good intentions but lost without explanation) because you don't have mine in stock is what I find out and I'll get a better rebate for a years supply because I'm trying new lenses and buying through their office. Feels like they're trying to make money off of me and not really help me. Sorry not the place for me. read more

Lumen went over and above to help me out, get the frames sorted (and right an ordering mistake which was mine not theirs) and fix up my lenses. I was looking around for a new eye dr and i stumbled upon lumen optometric! Expecting an average run of the mill eye exam I was throughly surprise by how in depth my exam was! The office has very high tech equipment that most offices don't! Best of all is that they don't use the puff of air in the eye which is the worst! Dr. To spent a great length explaining everything answering all my questions! I had a second appointment to address my dry eye symptoms which was also very pleasant and had a full treatment plans provided. They have a very nice selection of frames and i picked up a modo pair. The only downside is I'd say that this place is on the pricey side even with my insurance which didn't cover much... but luckily i had my FSA account to make up the difference! read more

I was very satisfied with my visit to Lumen optometric. Dr Eric was awesome. He checked my eyes and unlike other optometrist, Dr Eric explained to me what exactly each phase of the exam was for and what exactly he was checking in my eyes. Then I was able to get a great deal for a pair of Tiffany & Co glasses and also a pair of Tiffany & Co prescription sunglasses. I thought I needed adjustment when I went to pick up my glasses but they fit perfectly due to Dr Eric taking the measurements beforehand. Best eye exam I have every had (I am 75 years old). Staff was very professional and they have very updated equipment. They thoroughly explained what the various tests indicated as the results of my eye tests were enlarged on a computer screen. I love Lumen Optometric! After my first visit, I returned with my son and a few months later, after my rave reviews, my husband went for a check up-- his first after Lasik 16 years prior. Even before the pandemic, I appreciated the streamlined visit. After check in, you sit in one rolling chair and they take pictures, test peripheral, etc. (5 minutes) Next is the office visit to go over your images and test results (right now you sit in one room and speak to the doctor in the next room via something similar to zoom) which is ten minutes or as long as you want if you have questions. Finally, the examination to confirm the prescription (10 minutes max). When I needed glasses, Vivian spent TWO visits with me as I contemplated which glasses to purchase. She is to be commended for her patience. I also buy my contacts at Lumen. Why go anywhere else? read more

I am so glad to finally find a doctor who I trust, who I like and who knows what he's doing! I've seen different eye doctors through the years who always try to immediately get me to take several medications for my dry eyes. Try to get me into a prescription when I am almost 20/20. But Dr. To recommends the most natural techniques for dry eye first before resorting to medicine which I really appreciate. My sister and I went in for contact lens exams and were treated with great care. Upon arrival, our temperatures were taken and we were given hand sanitizer and bottles of water. They took great measures to limit physical contact and cleaned the exam room after each use. The staff was lovely and I felt very safe while I was there. They take your temperature at the door and provide sanitizer. The doctor did part of the appointment on zoom and then came in for the remaining portion which was pretty quick and to explain the results of the eye tests that I did. Each glasses I tried on they wiped and sanitized each pair. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to get glasses or have their eyes checked. read more
