When it's parked in Austin the location it is in a very homey Speakeasy kinda bar at the front and it's tucked away towards the back. Bring a hand fan or book your appointment later towards sundown because I was sweating in my dress! And everyone there was SO NICE every time we've gone! seriously. freakin'. awesome. the bf surprised me with at photo shoot for my birthday. but not just any photo shoot.. "ok. so you had your picture taken." that is what you are thinking? right? Yeah, no. This is a tin type photo. you know, like, civil war shit. Who does that?!?! Lumiere. That's who. and not only that, he does it in a trailer. Cause all the awesome stuff in Austin comes from trailers. in an unassuming parking lot, in a trailer, you too, can have an amazing photo taken of yourself, or with your beau (as i did), or even your dog. But it's not on paper. no, people. this is a Tin Type. seriously, it was super cool. and the photo..? omg. just pure brill lance. the bf looks great and i look fat, but.... you know. It's so cool. to hold in your hand. It's a photo on a piece of metal! It takes ONLY an hour for him to develop and deliver the picture. *could that BE any more awesome? no.* So, we sat, he grabbed the shot then started developing the pic. Adrian is such a cool guy. He showed us the process and chatted with us. i barely even noticed the hour fly by. Oh. and the last chemical he uses to develop the pic has lavender oil in it, so not only do you have an awesome picture, it smells good as well. He said it actually takes about 7 days for the photo to cure, so i am looking forward to seeing the end result. But, the beginning result is awesome enough. Best $60 bucks we have spent in a while... read more
