The people at the winery were very nice. I enjoyed the wine and typically purchase a few bottles to take home. The Tasting was a bit Pricey for the very small taste of 6. I usually find when you buy the wine one of the tastings are free. Awesome little family O&O'ed winery. Martha was excellent at taking care of us, even though we walked in 15 minutes before closing. She had great knowledge of their wines and is wise on the process of wine making. I am pleasantly surprised by their estate merlot because I am not a fan of merlots. I am also not a fan of sweet wines but I really enjoyed their late harvest sauvignon blanc. A very unique wine that's not overly sweet, but complex in flavors and medium bodied. They did not feature many of my favorite varietals, but what they do have is worth trying. I will definitely come back and recommend to people. read more

This place was outstanding in every way. We decided to do some wine tasting being in the beautiful city of Temecula. With some time to kill we checked out this winery. Let me say first the wine was phenomenal and the people were insanely kind. The service was fast and knowledgeable and the owner was there herself! She even offered to take pictures to all of her guests and was genuinely kind. This place is outstanding and deserves your business. The wine sample was only 15 dollars with free bread and a tasty variety of wine samples. You even get to keep the glass! We'll be coming back for sure! read more

What a wonderful surprise! Views are breathtaking and the owners and staff are knowledgable and sweet as pie! We did the reserve tasting that includes 10 tastings for $15.00, including a souvenir glass. Martha was so lovely and threw in a few extra tastings. First, this place is a little gem and much more relaxing than where we usually go in the area. The winemaker was there when we stopped by, helpful, engaging and informative. The adorable gal waiting on the other guests was hustling but still took time to explain the merits of each pour. We sat on the patio and I was amazed at her ability to remember everyone's selections (and what we were to taste next). She really worked hard to provide great service to the probably 30 people that were there initially. We did the $25 tasting, which was nice as it gave an overview to all their varietals. Looking forward to returning and trying the upgraded tasting. There was a note about complimentary crackers/bread on the tasting menu, but we didn't see anything out, which was fine as we were headed to dinner. The patio is nicely appointed and comfortable - the weather was definitely perfect for that. Inside the tasting room is a bar area and no seating. Lumiere is a small, family owned winery, still expanding. We were greeted warmly and personally and tasted 5 wines plus a special champagne. Glasses come with the price. You keep them. The owner only charged us for two tastings because my husband said he couldn't drink much, but he did share. Each wine has a story and her enthusiasm adds to the enjoyment. We ended up buying a case of assorted types. There are larger establishments, more commercial, and we enjoyed the fact that this was not. If you're in Temecula on the weekend, stop by Lumiere. read more

My husband and I stayed Labor Day weekend in Temecula to celebrate our anniversary and Lumiere winery was definitely our favorite stop! It's small and quaint with a beautiful view but Martha, who's son is the winemaker, definitely made our experience awesome! She was so knowledgable and had so many interesting things to share, we ended up spending a couple hours there because we enjoyed her so much! Our first time in Temecula and this was our last stop on a Sunday afternoon. Martha (owner) was a superb host. Foremost the wines are bold and flavorful, unique and well crafted from the 20 acre vineyard, but the experience was truly the best part. My wife and I have spent several years traveling the coastal California wineries. We were pleasantly surprised when stumbling upon this quaint winery hidden in the plush hills of Temecula. The owner and winemaker Andrew does an excellent job specializing in AMAZING Bordeaux style wines. My wife and I enjoyed the wines so much we ended up buying several different bottles because we couldn't decide on just one. The staff is extremely pleasant and very knowledgeable. My best friend took me wine tasting for my birthday at this excelent winery and I loved every minute we spent there. The owner was very sweet and we were all greeted when we walked in the door and taken care of imediately. Its a great price for sampling 7 great wines. Amazing. Myself and a couple of friends were in California for work and decided to visit Temacula. From the moment we walked in the door at Lumiere we were greeted and made to feel at home by the owners mother, Martha. She described their flights to us and once we ordered invited us to sit outside on the patio and offered to bring our wine to us. While we were waiting she called her son, Andrew, and asked him to come and make flatbreads for us. He quickly arrived and made us a tomato and cheese and a fig, shallot and goat cheese flatbreads which were both delicious. The views of the rolling hills were incredible. Finally, the wine. I have never been to a vineyard at which each wine tasted so different and had such varying flavor and personality. I was amazed by how unique each wine was. Martha took the time to explain EVERY step of the process to us and helped to give us an understanding of why the wines tasted the way they did, and what Andrew did different with each to make them special. What an incredible visit. A vineyard I recommend to everyone! read more

Casual, friendly environment. Small, off the beaten path, and not crowded on a Sunday afternoon. And most of all, we loved nearly all the wines. Went with friends and the hubby to Lumiere yesterday on the recommendation of a local resident. There was only one small group there when we arrived and a small building for a tasting room. Martha, the owner, greeted us immediately. She is very friendly and so sweet. We chose to sit outside for tastings because the location has great views and it was a little stormy out with intermittent thunderstorms and warm weather. Martha explained each wine she poured and expertly answered all of our questions. She was very open and we learned about how they came to be in Temecula, their grapes, processes and future plans, which includes opening up a Grill and offering a Wine Club. I can't review their whites because that's not what I typically drink, but I can tell you I loved, loved, loved the Cab, Black Cab, Romantic Fantasy (ask Martha the story behind this name...it's so sweet), the sparkling wine, and the port. Had a great time hanging out here. its not commercialized and it was like hanging out in a friends backyard. Will definitely be returning. read more

Glad we stopped in at this great little winery. We did the $15 reserve tasting, which offers a whopping 7 pours and you get to keep the glass. The wines were good and particularly interesting because there were various styles made from the same grape (white merlot/merlot; sauvignon blanc/late harvest/sparkling). This new up and coming family owned winery is simply delightful! I've tried most all the famous wineries in Temecula and was very pleasantly surprised when I finally got to try Lumiere, which is French for "Light" as we were informed by the owners mother who does the wine tasting portion. She is a pleasure to listen to and is very passionate about her sons wine. There is a story behind each unique wine they have created at this charming winery. The inside of the winery is small but beautifully decorated with a local artists work, David Bowley. I loved the art work and even took some home with my wine! Make sure to ask about the Artist and the Wine when visiting Lumiere's, you wont be disappointed. read more

Just found that this Winery was FINALLY opened (word of mouth is sometimes slow), But in the years of Wine Tasting in this area, this had to be the BEST expierence to date! I just didn't want to leave. Martha and Andrew we SO delightful and had some great stories about their wines..it was like visiting old friends. There wasn't a wine I didn't like! and I'm kind of fussy about what I like. DON'T like Merlot, but this one was very good! This will be my GO TO Winery from now.. Alright so i have left a review before and let me tell you they need more than 5 stars. Andrew and Martha are absolutely incredible! They hosted my wedding this last Wednesday and my husband and i could not have asked for anything better. He has a chef who has a great taste in food and detail. Their wines are out of this world and each time they release a new one like the merlot it just keeps getting better. Martha put together the most beautiful and heart felt ceremony. I love that she put in how the winery and us had ties. The scenery was beautiful, and just perfect for pictures. Andrew made sure everything was smooth and put together even though I'm sure i stressed him out because I had never planed one of these. I can honestly say I hope they continue doing weddings the venue is perfect, the people are sweet, and the photographer they brought in was really good. They are dog friendly and have the cutest little pups however watch your feet the little guy likes to steal the attention. Everyone that came loved the venue, food and of course the delicious wines. They were accommodating for the couple of kids that were present. read more
