What made it even more special was that he was actually getting ready to close when we arrived, but instead of rushing us or turning us away, he welcomed us in and gave us the full tasting experience. That level of hospitality says everything about the care he puts into his guests. Jesse took the time to share the story behind the family and the winery, learn what we liked, and guide us through the wines based on our preferences. Nothing felt rushed, even though we knew he had stayed open for us. And we laughed so much! Jesse's personality made the experience feel less like a formal wine tasting and more like spending time with an old friend who just happens to know a lot about great wine. The conversation, stories, laughter, and incredible hospitality made the evening truly memorable. The tasting room was beautiful, comfortable, and intimate, creating the perfect atmosphere to relax, enjoy the wines, and have great conversation. There is no where to sit, so our party of 3 stood around a small table in the back. The tasting room was rather warm, and although they do have a small section of outdoor seating, we were not able to sit outside because of the larger parties inside. There was only 1 person working, and although she was nice, we felt a bit overlooked as she focused her attention on the group around the bar. When she came over to us, we let her know we were there for a tasting, and she told us we would pay up front and she would bring us our glasses. We paid her, and she brought the wine list and poured our first tasting. I noticed the list was all red wines and asked her if they had any whites, to which she responded by saying no, they only had reds. I wished she had mentioned this before charging us. I love red wine, but on this particular occasion, a 90 degree day, I would have preferred white wine. We had already paid, so we decided to make the best of it, and tried all 5 wines. I can't lie, they were very good! We especially liked the Sangiovese, Merlot, and Syrah, but we noticed the pours weren't consistent. Some pours were smaller than others. We all agreed the server was a nice lady, and the wines were very good, but it just wasn't the most relaxing or inviting experience. If we wanted either a glass or bottle of good red wine we would consider this winery, but for variety, or a membership, we would try somewhere else.

By the amount of patrons present when I arrived you wouldn't think it is new. A quaint, off the beaten path, winery that resembles a prefabricated modern house surrounded by farm land, and found at the end of a cobbled stone road. The interior is a conflict of rustic and modern decor with various styles and colors, yet stunning and unique. The tasting room resembles a living room, and offers an outdoor seating experience with occasional entertainment. The wine was of great quality, and reflected the care and craftsmanship of a knowledgeable winemaker. The whites were refreshing, and the reds were bold! In addition, the stemware was very classy, with specific glasses for Pinot, Chardonnay, Cabs, and sparkling wines. The atmosphere was classy, and the "Adults Only" rule compliments the vibe. If you do a property tour, you'll see the horses and they do have special events. Tastings are by reservation only and no children or pets are allowed. Your choice of 6 tastes are $32. I especially enjoyed the 2016 Estate Gran Reserva Brut "Cava style" sparkling and the 2015 Don Porfirio Gran Reserva. The Winchester location is a bit far outside Temecula wine country. We had a pleasant time here - I was glad to finally check out this winery and it was fun visiting with a group. But given the distance from most Temecula wineries and the fact that reservations are a must, I probably won't be visiting here on a regular basis.

If you're looking for a hidden gem, this is it! It's all in the details; the cobblestone exterior, the paved paths, the scenic view, how the sun peaks through the trees, just wow! They had multiple options of wine tasting; you can pick from a mixed white and red wine tasting, or a full red, or white tasting. You can also order a bottle or glass by itself if you don't want the full tasting. As a gal who doesn't dabble in the fine art of tasting wine or drinking alcohol, they also had a couple delicious sparkling fruit drink options for me and a couple of other gals in my party, which was sweet, and delicious. The gals said they absolutely loved the Riesling white wine and it was perfectly sweet. I was able to book the whole experience and the table seating online on their website, and the whole process was easy. They email you a confirmation right away and all we did was show up. Upon checking in, we just informed one of the team members we have arrived and they let us pick our table outside. The reservation did note there would be a tour of some sort first, but that wasn't offered upon our arrival but that's okay! It is a bit hard to get ahold of someone on the phone, but I had a great experience speaking to their AI on the telephone and didn't notice until a minute into the phone call that they are AI. Talk about technology over here, woo! The AI was able to answer all my questions around where to park, are there signs directing us to the winery, if our party can have both wine-drinkers and non-drinkers, they answered it all and was spot on. Their winery also offers a fun shopping experience inside and put out these cottage-core long dresses and lacey tops you can try on and purchase. It looked like it was personally curated and it definitely had my gals and I hooked from the start. The only thing is that there is only 1 changing room, that is also the bathroom, so the line was always long and you would feel bad for taking too much time in there if you want to try things on. The team here made sure we were comfortable and even helped us take photos, and treated us very well for our first visit. All of us had a great time and left with a bottles of wine to take home!
