I have been going to Dr. Joe for a little over 5 years now, and there is good reason I keep coming back! This location is relatively new and it shines. When you check in, you feel like you are in a spa versus about to get poked and prodded for a half an hour! The atmosphere is calming and quiet, and most of the time you are not going to hear drills going on and off...most of the time! All of my hygienists have been very thorough and quick. I have never had any major need for dental work (not even a cavity thank God), but they do a very good job on cleanings! What I like most about Lumina Dental Spa is that they are thorough! The dental hygienist who cleaned my teeth spent almost an hour using the water pick and scraping plaque off my teeth. Most other places I've been to make you sit in the chair, waiting forever, and then they try to rush through your cleaning in less than 30 minutes. There was almost no wait here (less than 5 minutes), and the waiting room is really clean and equipped with a mini-fridge and complimentary bottled water. The hygienist was very dedicated to cleaning all the buildup above and below my gumline. She used lots of force (but nothing uncomfortable) and afterward my teeth felt great and so clean! The dentist came in after my teeth were cleaned and he took a look at my mouth. He was very friendly and asked me a few questions about my teeth and about me as a person. I have a permanent dentist office in the area where I live but I was very pleased to find Lumina so close to my work. I know if I ever should have the need, that I will have their office to visit. Absolutely wonderful! The staff and customer service is top notch. I usually scream and run in the opposite direction when it comes to going to the dentist because of a few bad experiences I had in the past with other dentists. So, naturally, I was very picky in choosing a new dentist when I moved to Houston; and boy did I pick a winner! I told them I was anxious (needles are the bane of my existence) and they did everything in their power (hi nitro gas, you are my new BFF) to make sure I was comfortable and experienced zero pain. It was awesome! I had veneers/gum contouring/cleaning/whitening/filling (oops) etc etc all with no discomfort and relaxed as can be. Beautiful work too so far (we aren't quite finished yet)! I got a groupon to get my teeth cleaned at Lumina Dental Spa. It was a steal of a deal, especially once I got there. It was one of the best dental experiences I have ever had! They really are like a dental spa. Everything is clean, calming and beautiful. Every single person on the staff was super nice and made me feel really comfortable. I started going to Lumina after I moved to the Greenway area. I always have high anxiety at the dentist so imagine my surprise when the staff went out of their way to make me comfortable. The staff took the time to explain everything and to make sure my experience was completely pain free. I have now been there three times and, at this point, have zero anxiety. They are slowly replacing my old fillings with new ones and then I will be starting down the path of having two implants done. Dr. Charles Blum's office "Lumina Dental" added undisclosed charges which far exceeded those covered by insurance. The net effect being that I was overcharged. The office staff has been unresponsive, incompetent and deceptive in their handling of this issue. As a matter of principle I am now forced to seek relief by filing formal complaints with Humana Dental Insurance, American Express and am issuing a demand letter under the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act. I would avoid the potential for such issues by seeking a more reputable practice. read more

"BAD SERVICE AND LIARS ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS MONEY" This place is Joke, I went to their office for some dental work and after speaking with Donna, she mention that my total would be $7,500 which she also mention that they had plans were I can pay it in to 3 payments, 3 visits 3 payments of $2,500 each, which I agreed to. A few days before the surgery some girl name Melissa called me asking me that she needed my personal information to get my credit and set up financial payment and I was like what????? I'm paying for every visit so I don't understand why you need to run my credit, I later found out the same day from Donna that they changed their mind so they needed to run my credit, I was like well that was not our conversation Donna. How did it change from one day to another ? Her response was like I'm sorry George, This lady named Melissa who I had never talk to was being very pushy about wanting my personal information, it appear that all she care about was money, she was RUDE , IMPOLITE AND DISCORTEOUS. Lumina Dental let me tell you in a few words "AMERICA it's all about Convenience AND Service, You Felt to provide this, you Lied and were Rude hopefully you learn from this and Respect your Clients. this is a review for Mahi, the lady who did my facials. She completely messed up my face and never called me back when i expressed my concerns. i am shocked! now my skin looks a lot worse than it looked before i started seeing her. At first, i thought it was a great idea to have dental work and facials done at the same place, but now i realize that it was HUGE mistake on my part to try to save money on my facials! DO NOT RECOMMEND going to do your facials with Mahi! She kept promising me miracles and i was stupid to believe her.... After seeing 12 (literally) different cosmetic dentist to re-do my veneers, I finally found the perfect fit. Dr. PK was knowledgable and friendly. The staff treated me like a friend and I was always given amazing treatment. Every member of their team welcomed me into the office and the culture was great. Besides the atmosphere, the dental work was fantastic! They made sure that I was extremely happy with the product they delivered. Dr. PK was not going to settle for "okay" he wanted me to be ecstatic about my new veneers. He was constantly checking in to see how I was doing and genuinely concerned about my happiness. They know how big of a decision this is and they don't take it lightly. I had a bad experience before, so I was very concerned about the shade and fit. They are true professionals and eased my worries by making sure the temps were perfect before the permanents ones were applied.
