What a great experience for the little ones! It's a huge park of so many varied lights. My toddler especially loved the DJ, the light tiles you can step on and change the colors, and the show at the food booth area. It's worth the wait to see the bubbles and "snow" We went at 6 pm on Thanksgiving and it wasn't crowded when we got there. It was great! It definitely filled up by the time we left though. 1.5 miles of fantastic holiday lights on display with two stops for food or drink along the way. We got cookies and hot chocolate as we enjoyed the interactive light displays, forests lit up, fields lit up, and everything beautifully themed, plus enjoyed light and fire shows. There were also reindeer. This is the Ashton Gardens all lit up for the holidays at Thanksgiving Point. Just follow the signs for parking. Keep going all the way down. Beautiful lights that are never ending. My kids and I had a wonderful time looking at all the Christmas lights. Each section of the garden has a different theme. There was a small section that was interactive for kids. My kids loved this! Kids could step on the lights and they changed colors as they stepped on them. There's also areas halfway through the lights where you can buy snacks and get warm near a fire pit. You can pay extra to reserve a fire pit with s'mores or an igloo. The fire pits that are not reserved do get packed with people. There is a warming tent you can got stand in too. My kids wore their snow pants and boots so they kept perfectly warm. Some areas were muddy since there was little snow but just enough to make mud. There's a good amount of walking so dress warm and wear good walking/ warm shoes/socks. read more

I went here for the first time this year and I loved it so much that I went twice!! I have a feeling it'll become a tradition for my family. The light displays are so fun and it's great for all ages! I love that there was so much variety. There's even a giant gingerbread house competition that you can walk through and they will blow your mind!! My favorite part of Luminaria was walking through the Light The World display at the end. The statues of Christ are incredibly beautiful and moving...the music is peaceful and it was an awesome contrast to the fun upbeat music where the lights were. My main tip is to DRESS WARM! And warmer than you think. It gets pretty chilly and you won't regret having too many layers :) I did appreciate that they occasionally had "warming stations" and fires to help with that. On our way back from Las Vegas we decided to overnight in Lehi, UT and visit the Christmas light display at Thanksgiving Point. What a fun stop. There is about a one mile walking trail through this light display all set to Christmas music. If you're in the area during the Holiday season I would recommend this stop. I highly recommend this place all year long but in Christmas is extra especial. They have fire pits to keep people warn around some areas. When we walked in we were immediately in awe of the lights and music and overall atmosphere. Depending on the package you purchase you are given a punch card that allows you to pick 2 sweet treams from the 2-3 concession areas along the walking paths. Each section of the attraction has different lights and themes and as you walk through it really is magical. We went on New Year's Eve and it was a graet way to ring in the new year! I have heard that tickets go fast, so if you are interested you have to order as early as possible. We got lucky as they opened up extra spots for New Year's and we experienced it! As this is our first time attending, not sure if music or themes change. We plan to visit again next year, and I will update! read more

Fantastic. ABSOLUTELY FREEZING. But fantistic. Such a nice Christmas Light festival. A great place to go with family and to get your Christmas photos in. We got the VIP package and it was awesome! It came with a gift bag (i.e. Christmas lights necklace, HAND WARMERS *so clutch*, a pin etc). And it came with custom mugs and unlimited hot chocolate!! It was sooooo cold though. This is a lot of fun for your family! We love the lights and have done this for the past two years. One suggestion I will make is to DRESS WARM!! There is a "warming hut" at the halfway point but its not all that warm and we underestimated the weather a bit. We had such a great time here with our 2 year old daughter! The decorations are incredible and the variety of colors and themes makes it super fun to walk through! There are plenty of activities for little kids, such as light up jumping stones, skee ball, and a light up peg wall, and fire pits if it gets too cold. This was our first year attending Luminaria and all I have to say is, WOW! I have never been to a light set up quite like this. The detail put into the lighting is incredible, right down to the different scents being pumped in different areas. The area with the thousands of lanterns stopped me in my tracks. What a beautiful, serene dedication to Christ! We loved the cute concession area in the middle of the set up that gave a very cottage/ North Pole feel. The port-o-potties were the nicest I've ever used (which this 7 month pregnant girl appreciated) complete with a heater in each individual stall! I would highly recommend snagging the earliest possible time slot. We chose 5 pm but with the sun going down so early, it worked well and we were out of there around 7 after our multiple toddlers in the group were done. We were happy that it was as warm as it could have possibly been since we went early! Tickets are pricey but so worth it. We hope to come back next year! read more

Overpriced, no refunds, poorly run. Very disappointed in Thanksgiving Point. They don't even give members much of a break.

I understand why the company has a blanket "no refund" policy considering the volatility of Utah weather and the outdoor nature of luminaria, but luminaria's inability to be flexible on a case by case basis is ludicrous. After making a simple mistake in booking tickets I called the next morning and they said there was nothing they could do, which (from the layman's perspective) seems to be a potential legal issue since it would conflict directly with Section 120 of the FCCPA. Having no refund policy is hold over from when we still utilized ticket stubs. Do better Thanksgiving Point, there's nothing stopping you except the sleazy opportunity to take advantage of people. (p.s. The receptionist that I worked with was very nice, even though she offered me no help seeing as her hands were tied by Thanksgiving Point) read more

Such an amazing experience. Fun for everyone. My son is in a wheelchair and everything was wheelchair accessible so that was really nice. The lights are so beautiful. I love that the group different color patterns so it's always different. Lots of great photo spots. One of my favorite parts was the candy cane lights and it actually smelled like peppermint. The village was nice to warm up by the fire pits and get some yummy treats and then a beautifully stunning and elegant section of statues of Christ. You get the fun of Christmas and also the true meaning and spiritual side of Christmas. They did an outstanding job and was worth every penny. I think this will be a new family tradition. read more

1000% love this Christmas tradition. My family gets the stay and play package every year for our anniversary. The hotel that comes with the package has a pool so it's fun to enjoy a good swim mid winter. This year the lights were extra special with added scented stations. It was so magical going through the candy cane lights and smelling peppermint. The treats are always tasty and the price is definitely worth it to bring in the Christmas spirit. There is a section you can enjoy if you wish that's full of statues of Christ that brings the spirit to your soul. One tip I have is to try and buy tickets early and do pre season sales. It's the best bang for your buck. VIP tickets are also a fun addition if you can afford them. Prepare to walk and dress extra warm. read more

We've made this our yearly tradition to go to Luminaria for our anniversary and do their Stay and Play package that they offer through Home2Suites in Lehi. The lights don't change much from year to year but it's still just as exciting to see this amazing light display year after year. read more

I have been to quite a few light shows in my time but nothing has ever come close to how amazing this place was. The lights were absolutely everywhere and it created such a beautiful atmosphere. From the second you step out you are greeted with the overwhelmingly spectacular luminaries and gigantic lit up tree. The kids could not get enough of it. We set down the path and took in all of the themed displays. We stopped halfway for some well needed hot coco and to warm the freezing touchies by the fire. The kids loved the interactive domes that were placed on the ground and spent a ton of time here. All in all I would say this has to be the best lighting display I have ever seen. It is well worth the trip. I would say to make sure that everyone in your group is bundled up like they were getting ready to go skiing . The best part this year was the lack of crowds. Overall the displays just weren't the same as previous years... Understand they likely had to cut back either for cost-wise or for traffic flow.
