And they don't try to make you spend $ on stuff you don't need. In fact, last time I went for a contact lense appointment, even though I have astigmatism in one eye, the Dr suggested I get the same rx for both eyes to save $ and it worked fabulously - my lenses have been great (I think the astigmatism is very slight - and every other Dr I've seen made my get 2 separate RXes). I emailed them today (a Sunday) requesting my RX and I expected a response in a few days. Imagine my surprise when I got a response a few hours later. I really can't say enough good things about them, and as long as I live here & they take my insurance, I'll be going here. Keep up the great work guys!

The person I spoke with, who appeared to be the doctor, repeatedly raised his voice, spoke over me, and would not allow me to explain my concern. I was pleased with what I read, and booked an appointment. They were able to accommodate me on the same day in the afternoon. When I got there the receptionist greeted me pleasantly and gave me paperwork for my daughter to fill out. We sat patiently waiting for them to call my daughters name. They had magazines for us to read while we waited. We waited for about 20min before they called us in the back and started testing. Marius was the gentleman that performed the tests. He explained everything he was doing and why he needed to do it. Marius was very detail oriented and patient. He spoke in terminology that was easy for my 19yr old to understand. He was friendly, kept her calm during the testing, and reassured her with positive affirmations. Marius was absolutely amazing. Dr. Gailitis was also very friendly, and reassuring. He spoke softly and calmly to keep her from being nervous about the different testing. He explained the results thoroughly. Overall, I will definitely be back. The office has great customer service!

Not only are they personable at Tom Stevens Optical but they sell different types of frames to fit your individual character and face. Craig is always insightful and Isabel never turns down a project to help fix broken frames. I stepped on my frame, and they were mangled but she used her time and patience to mend them back to brand new. Don't forget to stop by and take a look at the frames at an affordable price.
