My husband and I were driving home to Bellevue WA after a weeklong family vacation in Seaside. We drive a 2007 Prius with about 130K miles on it. I have nothing nice to say about this place. First, they refused to get either a RAV4 or a Jeep Compass in stock so I could test drive it, until I promised to purchase it. How can you agree to purchase a car you've never seen, let alone driven? Then, when they got a RAV4 in stock they didn't get the features I wanted. Stupidly I bought it anyway. Two years later I traded it in for a new RAV4 which I bought from Toyota of Wilsonville. They are so much more helpful and easy to deal with. They actually care about what the customer wants. Fast forward to today. Lum's can't find a record of the purchase of my vehicle from Wilsonville. I prepaid for four years of oil-changes and they conveniently can't find it. Plus, they are refusing to fix a gasket on the top of my car that came off the first time I ran it through a car wash because "Wilsonville installed it wrong". I wish it wasn't a 2 1/2 hour drive one way to get to Wilsonville because I'd much rather have them help me than this place. read more

I feel awkward writing a review for a car dealership, but these guys have made me so happy twice in a row, I thought I'd pay it forward. First of all, they will not be beaten as far as customer service goes. Their sales men aren't pushy or awkward and they honestly do their best to get you everything you want: be it price, car color, and all other options. I bought a Scion from them a few years ago, and recently traded it in for a new Jeep. Couldn't be happier with how the transaction went. I have purchased a new vehicle from Lum's and have had my otherToyota serviced there several times in the past 7 years. I will never take a vehicle for service there again. The service department is understaffed, and it is apparently impossible to make a simple appointment for service. I tried the "live chat", the "schedule on line" and a telephone call (kept on hold for 7 minutes without speaking to a service scheduler). If the business cannot handle a simple scheduling task, they should tell their potential customers upfront, honestly. read more

I'd like to update my previous review for Lum's service department. The day after I posted about not being about to contact the service department, the dealership owner called me with the service manager and offered to come to us to check the check engine light on our car and apologized for lack of availability the previous day. We ended up taking our truck into the service department where the service manager used a hand held diagnostic device to check our truck and found that problem was our gas cap was loose. Boy did we feel dumb. We were not charged for the super quick diagnosis. I would also like to give a big thank you to the two ladies working at the service counter. Bought my Scion xb from Lum's in 2008 and Lum's has always serviced it. What ever needs I might have they have always been there with quick courteous service. What ever the problem they always come to you with a couple of different options to work with your budgetary needs, instead of pushing the most expensive option. They are always kind, courteous, and friendly. I would purchase a new Scion xb from them but Toyota quite making them but that's not Lum's fault. The owner Lori Lum always comes and talks with those of us waiting while our vehicles are being serviced. She is the one who told me that Toyota discontinued making the Scion Xb. They are all very nice and halpful and I will continue to have my vehicle serviced there. read more

I have to say i am a fan of Lums. We have purchased 4 cars and my sister 2 cars. The sales people and finance people have worked with us very nicely on each deal. The service department is fast and honest. I have had vehicles in for quick fixes in the past. They only charge for the time it takes. Some places round up to the next hour of labor charges. Now for the quick lube, just more of the great service. Fast and a vacuum and car wash to boot. I did try one of the other quick lube places and was laughing at the dog and pony show they put on. It is nice to see a world wide brand have a local home town presence here in Warrenton. read more

I was passing through this area on vacation when my Tundra was due for service, so I had it done here. Got in and out in a reasonable amount of time, and the people were very courteous. The day after I was there, I realized that one of my hub caps/wheel centers was missing. I know it was there before the visit, because I was towing an RV on my vacation, and always did a 360 walk-around to ensure everything was hooked up. I called and explained the issue, they said they'd check on it and get back to me. I got a call an hour later from a gentleman who said he's pretty sure they didn't lose it, but since it wasn't noted on the pre-inspection form, they had to give me the benefit of the doubt. He asked for my address, and when I got back from vacation it was at home waiting for me. Kudos for excellent customer service. read more

I took my car to lums in hopes that they could do the job they said they could. Unfortunately they failed miserably. Three years of them having the car more than I did. It never ran the same after them. And getting into it to drive it just the other day, it has now the same problem it had in the beginning. Nate Whinsant lied to me so many times thru out this entire disaster it's not even funny. When confronted about his lies he never responded. Don't think your gonna get actual dodge parts put on your car even when they tell you they are. Unfortunately I know how my car drives, and I feel sorry for the people that they say their car is fine. When it's truly not. I wasted more money than I care to share. Hoping they could fix it. Nate himself said they couldn't fix it after three long years. Did I get compensated? Nope nothing. Now with out a running vehicle thanks to lums, im out my savings too. Don't let them fool you. Check the prices on the parts they are charging you. Make sure you see the old parts. If you have any doubts about your car and the way it runs after they work on it. I told them I could drop it off and even leave it there overnight, but they just sent me away and rescheduled me two weeks out! We are from out of town and ended up towing our car to Lum's. Luckily we had access to other family cars, but had a time frame where we needed the car back as soon as possible. I would like to start this review with the preface, that complaining is not one of my favorite things to do not do I like having to take the time to send a negative comment. But I feel that in this case it is necessary to do so. I purchased a new car from Toyota Lums on October 28th or 29 of 2016. I would like you know the issues I have had during and since my purchase. On the day, I went to look for a car I told my Salesperson that I was pre-qualified, and already in the Cuddle system, with my Credit Union, that I did not want my credit ran and to please just look up my info on Cuddle. The salesperson was set on checking my credit and told me I can get better interest via Toyota, I told him I did not thinks so and I wanted to use the financing I already had in place. He said ok but we will do better for you. After waiting 2 hours and being extremely late for an appointment. I told my sales person I must leave. He of course asked me to wait. I told him no I must leave. As he was walking me to the door we found the finance manage, he was out looking at a new truck. He asked me to wait I said no I cannot. I also do not understand the 2 hour wait I already am financed via cuddle.... He said oh you are... well let's get you in a car your all set I did not need to do anything... Start of frustration.... The second thing is I was told my car had features that it does not have. Huge disappointment. But I already had the car I had to live with it. However, one of the reasons I chose this car was due to the features I told it had. Both, purchasing, and when I picked up my car. I was also told I just needed to down load an app on my phone to make it work.... (my car did not come with that feature) The third is I was told my first payment would be made for me... Guess what, it was not, so I had to call my bank, call Toyota, then call back Toyota as well as send them payment information. Because Toyota did not do what they said. Now to number 4... I have not received my license plates. Guess what, Toyota gave DMV the wrong address for me. So today I had to call DMV ask where my plates and registration were, they had been given the wrong address by Toyota. Now I must drive to DMV about 40 miles each way, stand in line get the plates then have them cxl the plates that did not get to me and wait for registration. I have let items 1,2, and 3 go. But now I am totally frustrated as I must take time off work, drive to DMV wait in line so the saga continues... This has all taken up a lot of my time and it has all been unnecessary. If Toyota, has just taken a little time and care I would not be spending SEVERAL hours and more than a day's work to figure all of this out! My time means something to me and having to continue to fix the problems created by Toyota has not been pleasant for me. At this point I would not refer any one to Lums to buy a car based on my experience, and am not able to leave a good review. My advice is if you go to Lums, do not have your sales person speak to finance for you. (if you have your financing set to go) Speak to them direct. Make sure to have them show you the car features and be SURE you have what they say you have, download the app while you are there. This way you do not drive away thinking you have a feature you do not. If they are making your payment for you, call them a week ahead and make sure they have it all set to pay. Also side note, I sent this exact letter to Lums, I did get a call from the owner who did apologize to me. She also found my license plates and they are in the mail to me. It is unknown how long they have had my license plates for. DMV said they mailed them in November, the owner said they got them in December. However, had I not taken the time to call DMV I do not think I would be receiving them. Disappointing to be spending such a large amount of money and have so many issues. Note to self: next time I buy a car I will not be so passive, and I will be sure to take my own advice and be more assertive. Also the extra time I have had to take, during this transaction and still to this day has been on going. Last Note: I called Lums to ask why the Entune did not work, they said I needed to bring my car in and drop it off with them. So I arranged for a ride again a 40 mile drive each way. They followed me to Lums. Once I got there my sales person came out to my car, looked at my window sticker, and told me I did not have Entune. (why could they not tell me to look on my window sticker before ) I 1) drove 40 miles an 80 mile round trip 2) I had a friend follow me because I was suppose to leave my car there, so she drove the 80 miles as well. It would have been so much less frustrating for me. I think it is very important when people are taking time away from work and loosing pay to be considerate of your customers time. read more

1 star because I had too in order to write this review. Buyer beware of shady business practices. I was in the middle of purchasing a new vehicle, and had to do all my negotiating over the phone as I lived about 2 hours away. I was going through the approval process when I found out they sold the vehicle out from under me to a local guy. The salesman wouldn't return my phone calls so I had to call their main line. He wouldn't come to the phone, he had his secretary tell me that they were signing papers as we speak. I hope this review helps others of their poor practices. read more

These people are the worst. I bought my Highlander new 5 years ago and tried to use their service, pointing out their shortfalls. The last was visit is the last visit. Had an 08:00 AM appointment, arrived 7:45. Sat in my car outside the service bay doors and watched 6-8 employees chat and drink coffee. At 08:00, they opened the service doors and went along with their own business. I was with 4 other cars, we all sat and waited for direction......nothing. After 8 minutes I went into the service bay and asked the seated girl what I needed to do. She advised she was in charge of express lube and directed me to the interior service office. I asked why we the service guy why we were left outside without any instruction. His reply, we needed to come into the office. I signed the service form left my keys. Upon returning the car that was blocking the service bay when I arrived was still there, as well as a car the other cars outside. All this time the service people were going about their own business and totally ignoring all the customers outside. After 5 years, they have gotten worse and worse. Completely clueless,wandering aimless around, while trying not to make customer eye contact. I will drive 80 miles...I am back to Beaverton Toyota, after 25 years they just keep getting better and better. One instance at Lums, just a regular oil service, I was informed i needed a new rear wiper. I agreed, minutes later service returned and said they were out of that Toyota wiper. Really how does a Toyota dealer run out of wipers? Amateurs just down right amateurs, every month that passes they get worse. read more

First of all I love Toyotas! These cars lasts a long long time and hardly ever have engine problems. I have a Toyota Highlander 2008 and bought it from this dealer. They were very professional and courteous. The service center was helpful, prompt, knowledgeable. The waiting area was comfortable with a big screen tv, variety of reading, comfortable seating, free beverages, popcorn, and free internet service. my 1st experience at lums was horrible. carrie the receptionist is rude and very much a liar. called to speak to the service dept and was told they all had left for the day. i told Carrie i was just speaking with the service advisor just 30 seconds before calling back due to a dropped signal. 10 minutes after that a service advisor magically appears and calls me and wants to know what i needed. the following day i get a call from Colleen the service advisor to go get my vehicle because it's finished. i ask Colleen is everything completed, yes she replies very annoyed that I asked her that question. i go pick up my vehicle from lums and sure enough they forgot to put my wiper blades back on my car. so it's raining and I'm driving around with no wiper. Great. i have to wait till the next business day for the service dept to open back up. keep in mind, all these services are being paid for. if they can't remember to put window wiper blades back on a car in a state that rains constantly or even go check as the service advisor because that's your job. then I'm sorry, i don't feel confident in leaving my car with people who don't care. i can only imagine the headache I'd have if the services i wanted were more complex. read more

their service department is the worst in the country I had my 1999 Toyota van towed in on June 3 and was told that it would be fixed on the 9 when I called on the 6 they told me it might be fixed on the 13 I live 800 miles from there would you drive 800 miles on a maybe they give nothing but excuses' for there pore service so I went there with two trucks and a car huller one for the van and the other to bring back my bike and trailer that I had barrowed. I don't have time to write many reviews, but the people working at Lums are AMAZING! Simply wanted to trade my SUV for a little bit newer SUV with more room. I am a single mama with 3 small kids, I needed a big rig with lots of room for car seats. Mike White was my sales person, he is super laid back, I NEVER felt pressured or over powered to do it his way. He seemed genuinely interested in making it a great experience and finding me what I wanted. Very prompt at returning phone calls (in fact he called me right back, got me in at closing the same day, and I bought the rig he called me about-perfect fit for my family!!), very friendly, very professional. Richard was the finance guy. He is really quite phenomenal at his job. All the finance stuff went super smooth, and at every turn I had him in my corner, making things go well. In fact, a day went by, and the windows on the right side of the SUV stopped working. I gave him a call, he got me in the next morning, introduced me around, they ordered my parts, said they would call me back, get me a rental, take care of it all, no cost to me, AT ALL. No fuss, no worries, just totally taken care of. This is customer service, to the max. I will 100% give these guys my business in the future, and refer everyone to them. read more

Lums has changed my oil twice in my Volvo. First time quoted 60 and at pick up was $100.00. Paid next day got manager, oh a mistake, Misquote , opp's Anyway got a 25 dollar credit for next time. Next oil change cost me 125- 25 credit, hee, hee 100 bucks. Today I call up, (year later) and want a quote. Service dept to call me back Asap. Well the call never came. Oil change in Astoria instead, Same oil, price 30% cheaper. Bought one new car off them. Now I think enough is enough. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. I used to really be a fan of Lums but recently they don't seem to respect their customers time. They used to accept oil changes with out appointments and they were done in a timely manner...last time I tried to get an oil change they were unable to get me in for several hours and they recommended that I make an appointment next time. Today, I had an appointment that I made online for 8:15am. When I arrived at 8:05, I was informed that they wouldn't be able to get it done for an hour. Great service! They are knowledgeable, friendly, skilled and intent on being helpful. We were traveling from the Bay Area in CA to Seattle when our tire pressure light came on. Thankfully, we found Lum's just before heading into a rather remote area in Washington. They turned what could have been a disaster into a very good experience. They found that we had picked up a nail in one tire, repaired it and got us swiftly and safely back on the road. All for $12.50! They could not have been more professional. I haven't purchased a car here, but I've had two vehicles serviced here 6-7 times. My rule of thumb in the past was to NEVER have my car serviced at a dealership, but Lums breaks the mold. There is no high-pressure to fix this and that when all you want is an oil change. Yet they are good at informing you about anything that you might need to watch in the future. The relatively new showroom with its waiting area is more comfortable than my living room and there is always free popcorn, coffee and cappuccino. And they vacuum and wash your car for you, too. The last time I had my car worked on, they were having a free hot dog roast in the front patio. I've never felt that I've been overcharged for any of the work I've had done there either. read more

I had an appointment with Robert Burk at 2:00pm March 22, 2018, I got there early at 1:45pm, as I entered a young sales man asked if he could help me, I told him I have an appointment with Mr. Burk. He went to find him and Mr Burk's son was there, and said his dad was sleeping, I said really we had made an appointment for 2:00pm, the young salesman said I can work with you and then Mr. Burk showed up and the young sales man was sent out to bring up the car that I was interested in. He came running back and said it had been loaned out. I asked why did he make an appointment with me knowing the car was not here. Were sorry I have another one a little newer and just 5 or 6 thousand more. I looked at it and it was no where near what I had driven 80 miles round trip to see. I then get a couple calls that I did not answer because I was driving. When I got back home I listened to the voice messages of an apology. I did not return the call I felt this all happened for a reason. I have bought two cars at Lum's in the past a new 2005 Prius and a new 2008 Camary Hy and had a good experience both times, This may have been just a bad one time experience, but it was a waste of time.
