I needed a car asap and I saw an add online that kept popping up. It almost seemed too good to be true so I didn't think much of it. Until, I went to look at it. It was a super fast and easy sale. They did pressure to get me to buy a 5k warranty. I could tell no one was making any money on this sale since I declined, but other than that it was a super awesome experience. There was a salesman and a young women looking at the car at the time. When we approached the salesperson seem to get agitated and aggressively said "Someone is coming for this car. I would like to bring to the attention of the owners a couple of concerns, I've experienced the last couple visit at their store. I dislike even having to address the below items. I assure you that our interaction with the dealership over the years has been pleasant despite the below items. Between an item being stolen from our vehicle during a service visit to your senior sales manager (Mauro Granziero) quoting a price then reneging. I understand that there can be miss communication at times. Although my family has been doing business with your dealership for over twelve years purchasing numerous vehicles without ever raising any concerns. I'm disappointed that when we returned to the dealership ready to purchase a vehicle only to be told that the items previously quoted with the purchase would be additional cost. This is disappointing because we where quoted a price and items where remove. I even asked why he was raising his voice during my inquiry about the change/ He pretty much called me stupid for not understanding that those items weren't included. A very good overall experience. I came here because Kia has a good name these days, and I love how much this dealership does for the local animal shelter. I leased a new 2018 Kia Sorrento. Beautiful SUV. Jason, my sales guy, was not pushy, super helpful and patient. Corey was also great. Why not 5 stars? First of all, I came in a little bit scruffy and felt I was quickly passed from one sales agent to the other. (I stopped in after volunteering at the animal shelter and working with the dogs.) I purchased a 2012 Toyota Corolla that I believe had an inoperable horn at the time of purchase. A month into owning the car I tried to use the horn when a driver nearly hit me and nothing happened. The horn was tested multiple times by three other people: a friend and two different mechanics (the first mechanic could not fix it, he said, so I had to go to another mechanic). It never worked. I was told the car went through a five-point safety inspection, so assumed I would be safe driving the car. I did not think to check the horn. A five-point safety inspection is meant to include the horn specifically, as Google searches will reveal. After a huge ordeal to get my horn to work, I reached out to Warrenton Kia because I hold them responsible and expected them to pay for the repairs. They refused to offer anything. They claim that the horn was tested when their mechanic looked it over and it worked. The reason I don't trust them is because the person who sold it to me, Lori (also the person who told me they would not pay anything), claimed also that she did not notice the dents on my car's hood when I purchased the vehicle. These dents were the first thing me and my dad noticed when looking at the car. No discount was offered for the vehicle in light of the obvious body damage. I would highly recommend looking elsewhere to buy your vehicle. If you want a car they are selling, have it looked at by an independent mechanic before purchasing it. I highly suspect this place of being grossly dishonest. read more

This is our go to KIA location as it is close. No more! We got the oil change with the free car wash. NOT HAPPY! Oil change is ok, the car wash WAS NOT! We opened our front doors to see how the floor mats looked. Very satisfied, they had even been washed. Husband asked me to check the back ones, they were NOT touched!!! Neither were any of the door wells wiped down! While I don't expect perfection I do expect reasonable service. A service person noticed us looking at the car and came over and asked what was going on. We showed him and he went off to ask someone. When he asked why the back wasn't vacuumed the other guy said because it wasn't "custom". He DID NOT COME BACK AND TALK TO US!!! This was NOT customer service! This is a review for a test drive as we did not purchase, although my friend is likely to do so in future. The dealership has got a nice friendly vibe. My friend and I came to look at the Kia Niro hybrid after discovering our snooty attitude against Kias is no longer warranted. Did you know that Kia swept the 2019 safety ratings by make with four models earning the highest possible rating? They're also not the plastic cars I once thought of them as... They're steel reinforced. Anyhoo, Ken Kirby (who is a musician that speaks Japanese and has 4 corgis) helped us out. I've been on a number of years drives and no salesman was as funny or sincere. Get your own financing. Their financial department is manipulative. I ended up getting features that are totally useless due to being put on the spot and being deceived. Do your research and don't be manipulated. Now, the actual car buying experience. The guy who sold me the car was a little too much of a cars sales-man for me. He was a schmoozer and I don't need someone to schmooze me. I don't have the type of personality that needs/appreciates that. I'd rather deal with someone who is direct/friendly and who does not try to win me over by over-complimenting etc. They gave me a good product for a good value. I am happy with the car and Kia has a ten year warranty. I hope to use my car for years to come. I don't appreciate all the emails and phone calls I've gotten from them since I bought the car. Just leave me alone! I think these guys will give a fair price and a good product. I'd go there again and possibly assert myself a bit better. They're just kind of pushy. read more

We were in town visiting and needed one key cut, and 2 keys reprogrammed to open and lock the car. I called asking about cutting, and the informed me that they did not cut keys, bit Michael at Coastal Lock-N-Key could do it. (We had him cut the key, and would recommend him to anyone, great guy). They programmed both fobs, vacuumed,washed the car, and they thought my dog was cute. The dealership was clean, as everyone was very nice. The only drawback is there is very little customer parking. This is my 3rd car from Warrenton Kia. And as far as I am concerned they will continue to get our business. Lori is the one I have dealt with prior she was ill and had her partner Ralph. Lori told Ralph ahead of time what we were looking for and he had two ready for us to test drive. We tested two and my husband and I gave him our "deal breakers". We ended up with a brand new 2018 Optima S. . Neither of us have ever owned a brand new car and let me tell you it was nice. The car is beautiful and our daughter has plenty of room to grow into it. At the end Cory sat with us in the car and showed us all the features before sending us on our way. When my husband is ready to purchase his next one we will see them again! read more

With a 1 star review you'd think I would have gone elsewhere, but I did end up purchasing a vehicle from them, and the only buyer's remorse I have is where I bought it. It's been problem after problem after problem with these guys. High pressure sales, uninformed/dishonest salespeople, shenanigans in the finance department, and don't even get me started on the service department. The most recent issue: My car has a "voluntary service campaign" out on it, which is one step shy of a recall, because it has faulty tire valves that can leak. Unsuspecting/uninformed consumers have this issue, take their cars in, the dealer tells them they need new valves, and then they pay the dealer $200 apiece for new valves. Pretty lucrative deal, right? I received the second notice, with a note saying the first notice went out prior to my car purchase, which means Warrenton Kia didn't bother to fix the issue before selling it, nor did they disclose the issue to me. Ineptitude, honest mistake, or just plain underhanded? Who knows. Thankfully Kia Motors told me I can take the vehicle to any dealer to have it fixed. I have a free oil change on my account and I'll be taking my car elsewhere because I will pay money just to not have to deal with these guys ever again. Buyer beware. read more

1/30/20 Astoria, Oregon 6am I stepped outside onto the wet grass with dry shoes when someone offered a ride which I politely turned down. I always turn the rides down, walking through the unforgiving hills of Astoria is just what I do, what I have always done. The wet sailor's slog through the sideways sleet and here this morning had greeted me with a permanent cloud of a cold red sunrise at the top of 8th. I had walked up that hill enough to see a hundred sunrises but this one was different, it was dark and red with a blurry blanket of rain whispering through the valley. I was hit on the turn with that cold drenching reality right in the face, bittersweet descent hinting at another painfully damp return trip. Somehow, I ended up back at home on my computer and saw a car I liked on the Warrenton Kia website. I decided to click the "check availability" button and enter my info. One little click can change your life. Within a few minutes I received a call from Sarah Oxford and was floored by her immediate concern for my specific situation, we spoke briefly about my needs for a car and she had me fill out the pre-approval loan form online. I am still shocked at how easy it was to set up and multiple times when I had a question Sarah texted the exact answer to me before I had even asked. In addition to any possible psychic abilities, she also carries a level of customer service that demands incalculable respect. That means a whole lot coming from someone that has been in the service industry for 20 years, never have I seen such sacrifice in a salesperson, I was so incredibly impressed. After working to get me a car ("Let me go to work for you then" she said, nobody has really ever said this to me and I just really respect such a high level of understanding of the customer, it put me at ease immediately!) we were able to secure a loan for a really nice car that suits my needs perfectly. There I was at work, looking out into the pouring rain wondering how many more times would I have to walk through the soaking deluge sweeping the bay. And then there was Sarah with my car, standing in the pouring rain ready to hand me the keys. So she brought my new car...to my work...in the middle of a rainstorm. She knew exactly what I would have to walk through it if she didn't deliver, and she sacrificed her time to help me. Sarah has single-handedly restored my faith in humanity and good in this world. She also took the time to patiently walk me through all the paperwork in a very professional and knowledgeable manner. She checked to make sure everything was in the car and showed me how to set up the blue-tooth and all the crazy buttons and gadgets and bright lights of my new spaceship. Honestly it has been a rough time in my life, but this morning I felt that if I had the right person to help me get started on achieving my goal of getting a car, I could be driving in a couple years. A Couple more years of walking up and down that terrible hill in that terrible rain with my only companion, the cold wet pain. As I was sitting in this dry warm spaceship tonight at the top of the hill I laughed to myself for a while thinking about all the hard challenges I have faced and how much stronger I will be with this gift and suddenly in the midst of one particular choking laugh I broke. I can see my life is changing for the better, and I would like to thank Sarah Oxford for her assistance in helping me and most of all thank her for her trust. I went to Warrenton Kia to sell my truck. I received $2000 less than what I was asking. I was hard-sold into a PT Cruiser (to be fair, I do like the Cruisers), which I took back after 3 days, due to electric/computer chip issues. The guy at the shop took it in, fiddled around, and brought it back, telling me it was fixed. 3 days later I took it back, again, for the same issue. He did his little trick, and again it worked - for three days. Fast forward almost a month, as I took videos and pictures to show what it was doing. They took it in the shop, after my protesting, and gave me a loaner. Apparently it was a regular issue with 2006 PT Cruisers. I asked them to make right on it. I was charged $300 towards the part. It took them 30 days to get the part, and they told me it was fixed. I took it back the next day, with the same issues. They said they would look at it, and if they couldn't fix it, they'd send it to Chrysler. The man told me the car was dangerous to drive. I got another loaner (with the added insult of having to advertise them on the back). Fast forward another 30 days, and I get a phone call pushing me to bring the loaner back. I was sideswiped by them telling me they can't fix the issue - that no one can, and told they'd give me $1800 for my car. Now, having no car, I had to purchase what I could from them. The entire mess cost me $7000 over what I had originally gotten paid for my truck, in the first place, and I am stuck with a car which is probably practical, but in no manner a car that I wanted, and a loan I need to pay off. In the interim, I have heard horror stories from others regarding Warrenton Kia and their immoral business practices. Buyer beware. They will not make right on their mistakes, they will make excuses, and it will cost you. read more

I wished they had negative rating stars for Warrenton Kia I am a 60 year old veteran who's 19 year old at the time bought his 1st vehicle at warrenton Kia. Oct 2020. He was told by them that for $1500 downpayment he was guaranteed a loan on a 2015 Dodge journey after giving $1500 down signed contract got keys and left. November 2020 his grandmother in Tennessee got hurt and needed knee surgery replacement. My son unselfishly offered his help. When he arrived in Tennessee Warrenton Kia calls and tells him that they couldn't get him financed. He needs to return vehicle. After be informed that he was in Tennessee helping grandma Warrenton Kia accuses him of auto theft. My son calls me and I tell him that he did nothing wrong these things happen go ahead and return vehicle at nearest Kia dealership. But do not give vehicle back until you get your $1500 down payment back. Son did not listen to dad and got scared after several text messages and phone calls threatening to have police come and arrest him by Warrenton Kia. My son has those text messages as proof. (one time I appreciate this new technology) and was promised that if he did in fact return vehicle to Harper jeep in Alcoa Tennessee he would rece his $1500. My son even offered for them to only return $1100 and keep $400 for first months payment. Payment never came. I told him to wait till he came home and go down and get his money. Grandma took longer than expected to get better. So today my son asks me to talk to warrenton Kia he felt uncomfortable doing so himself. I call and talk to Rick and explain after I called him Mr. Rick he says my name is Rick not Mr. Rick I apologized for showing respect and could my son come down and get his promised $1500 down payment back. Out of my hands says Rick not Mr. 90 minutes later I get a call from Paul who's tells me he couldn't discuss my son's account so my son gets on phone and asked if my dad can speak on my behalf Paul agreed to allow. In the speaker phone call heard by multiple family members Paul stated that my son was in fact approved for the loan but because they couldn't verify employment they were unable to keep their promise. I chuckled and said Really he works for my company and has for several years and I did in fact get a call for verification and I verified his employment and if they refuse to return $1500 to my son I would see them in court. Paul's response to that was I don't believe you can have a judge decision in a day (and I'm done talking to you because what you are saying is the truth and I have absolutely no valid reason to keep your sons $1500 other than I feel empowered taking advantage of you and I truly don't believe you have what i takes to go to court). Surly you read my sarcasm in parentheses Paul did say that a judge wouldn't decide this in a day and sorry for our sorrows and he is not giving back my son's down payment and he done discussing this issue with me because I am not the account holder. So my son is calling warrenton Kia on Friday and demanding his $1500 or he his filing small claims on warrenton Kia in the amount of $7500. $1500 for down payment and $6000 for the aggravation interest on $1500 and for humiliating him on his first car purchase. They got it into their shop and repairs completed within about 45 minutes with no prior appointment (on a day when they were busy and the other area mechanics were too busy to see us). Four stars for service, two for used car quality. Got out of my car and didn't have to wait for someone to find me - a guy right out front greeted me but not in an aggressive way, and walked me over to the used lot to talk to the guy over there about a Ford Escape and C-Max I wanted to check out and test drive. No dinking around, just got the keys and copied my license and off we went. The Escape drove well but there seemed to be some issues with its ability to defrost the back windows and there wasn't really any comment when I mentioned that, and as I don't want to have to do any repairs when paying $15K I passed on that. The C-Max is already a car I'd test driven in the past but as soon as we opened the car it was clear it had been smoked in. Why oh why can't dealers do something about the stanky smoke smell in cars and get them cleaned up ? I would have bought that one on the spot as it was at the exact price, mileage, etc, but I will not bring home a car that reeks. Ugh. While I liked the sales guy a lot and he seemed much more human than your average salesperson, there was neither an apology for the condition of either or an attempt to make either situation right so they could turn it into a sale (I mentioned I had my car for trade-in with me during the test drive). So, kind of bummed there. But unlike 95% of the dealers in Portland, he didn't talk down to me and actually respected what I had to say about what I wanted and didn't want in a vehicle, and didn't try to get me to "come in and sit down" like so many salespeople do that make us all nuts.
