OUTSTANDING IN-HOME PHYSICAL THERAPY - MICHAEL IS EXCEPTIONAL After total knee replacement surgery, finding the right physical therapist was incredibly important to me--and working with Michael at Luna Physical Therapy has been epic. What stands out most is how well he understands his clients. I tend to push myself, and Michael picked up on that right away. He knows exactly when to progress exercises and by how much so I keep improving without becoming overwhelmed or overdoing it. His approach is thoughtful and practical. The exercises are effective but simple enough that I can easily maintain the routine on my own between sessions, which has helped me stay consistent and see real progress. Having in-home physical therapy through Luna has been priceless--no traffic, no waiting rooms, just focused one-on-one care in the comfort of my own home. Michael is extremely knowledgeable, kind, and very intuitive about how to guide recovery. It's clear he genuinely cares about his patients and their long-term success. Luna sent me the most knowledgable PT I've ever had the good fortune to work with. Paul has taght me a number of exercises that are helping to improve the function and strength of my shoulder and arm. Because I have MS, he is careful to make sure that I don't get exhausted or overheated. I have had previous therapists whose sessions left me fatigued and achy. I had total knee replacement surgery on 4/10. Luna started the next day with my therapy. The therapist was great! Thorough & paced my exercises with perfect timing. Regarding Luna scheduling, they call you from phone numbers from all over the country trying to have you make an appointment that your therapist has already scheduled. I received 3 calls in a row from California, Kentucky & Florida all calls have no identification. Just random private numbers. SPAM calls & I never picked up the call. Finally after almost a month of these robo messages telling me my sessions are complete & I would have to pay out of pocket? I cancelled any further sessions. Several calls came in the next few days telling me to schedule! Not aware I had opted out. So there is no communications recorded ever. read more

My husband is in his 90s and balance is an issue; he's had many falls in the past year. The very pleasant and thorough PT therapist began exercises a week ago to help. my husband was having PT after Luna got approval thru our insurance company for in-home PT. we were told by Luna from the onset that there would be zero co-pay. When we got 2 invoices for $5 each, I called Luna billing and they admitted it was a mistake and credited us $50, but a week later we started getting invoices again and Luna said the $ 100 was jus a courtesy credit. what??? Been harassed by phone, emails and texts ever since trying to get us to pay them. Deceptive billing practices! Don't trust this company. Bait and switch! read more

SCAM do not trust. We were trying to get in-home services for our grandmother. They WOULD NOT give us any information UNTIL we gave them our credit card info. Once we gave them our credit card they said they didnt service our area (even tho they say they do) but could refer us out. Why did that require a card on file? Seems illegal. read more

The first time we were lucky with Luna: the PT was outstanding. The pain was gone after only 7 sessions. The second time we went with Luna we were assigned to a different PT because our first excellent PT ended Luna employment. Our second Luna PT was not knowledgeable and unprofessional. The registration process was very easy, Dalton (in South Bay) is the most amazing therapist I've ever had, and I've had a lot! he's great with patient education, extremely responsive, and great flexibility with his hours. Had hip replacement and was assigned Tony. He was AMAZING and helped me to improve. I am a ex personal trainer so understanding what I needed to do was easier for me than most. But he taught me to not be an "over achiever" and listen to my body. I did way too much thinking I would get better faster, however, I ended up straining my hip. I'm so appreciative of this program to get me on my way to living my life pain free. Tony was always on time, encouraging and professional. I will miss his visits as I've moved on to out patient PT. I have been working with Bryan in several sessions for lower back pain & balance. He is caring, knowledgeable & willing to share info with my trainer. Besides showing me exercises, he also does back massaging to loosen tight muscles. While I appreciate the texts from Luna, which I suppose are to encourage me, I find them somewhat annoying. They advertise for providing at home therapy for ALS, refused to take a history of the patient's limitations, showed up and rushed through the meeting, set up a second session and through the app dialogue feature cancelled and stated they could not help because the patient could not walk. Well this is a majority of ALS patients. It is false advertising and providers that recommend Luna should be apprised of their refusal. read more

The Best of the Worst THE BEST: Let me start off this review by being absolutely clear that my Physical Therapist, contracted by LUNA exceeded my expectations on every level. After over one year in continuous therapy as a result of two hip replacements , multiple spinal deficiencies and a cancerous tumor removal, my Physical Therapist , Ian Jones was with me during every step of my year long journey towards recovery. Ian Jones restored my mobility, my quality of life and my sense of purpose. A debt I can never repay. Anyone in need of a Physical Therapist in the Miami , Fort Lauderdale area of South Florida needs to look no further than Ian Jones. THE WORST: I began my therapy with Luna in November of 2023 and it continued through December 2024. I established a patient portal and had a credit card on file. During this 13 month period of continuing therapy I received only TWO invoices for payment due. Both times I contacted LUNA Billing to confirm the payments and was told the invoices were posting towards my deductible and once satisfied there would be no further payments due. Therapy continued. I received an email from LUNA Billing that my credit card which was on file was declined and I had a balance due. Again, I called LUNA Billing only to be told to disregard the message and that there was no payment due. This went on and on several times and each time I responded to LUNA and was told to disregard the emails and that no payment was due, as the call logs well document. On December 10th, 2024 , 13 months after beginning my therapy with LUNA my therapist contacted me with a text message stating that all future Therapy Sessions had been cancelled by LUNA due to a a delinquent billing account. I then called LUNA and asked for an invoice. They did NOT provide one, instead they sent me an email stating that unless I paid them $743.62 immediately all future therapy would be discontinued. This amount was presented to me with no supporting documentation. A sum LUNA seemingly plucked out of nowhere. I asked once again for an invoice to support their claim. I was told one would be sent within three weeks but that the amount had changed to $647.58, again with no supporting invoice, to justify the amount , the invoice has yet to arrive. I called again and asked for an invoice. I was told it was emailed to me, and that once again the number had changed to $578.13, again with no supporting documentation , the email never arrived all though all of LUNAS other emails did. Finally after being denied prescribed therapy for approximately one month through no fault of my own I was finally able to persevere and obtain an invoice directly from someone in the billing headquarters, documenting co-payments from November of 2023 through December of 2024 that were NEVER INVOICED BY LUNA and that throughout the 13 months of therapy I was told to ignore by LUNA , as the LUNA Call Logs well document. After one month of trying to obtain a billing statement of the actual charges being billed from LUNA ,I satisfied my payment the same day I received the invoice, January 8,2025. As of this date February 20, 2025 even though my account was satisfied, 43 DAYS AGO, there has been no communication forth coming from LUNA and my Prescribed Physical Therapy with LUNA remains cancelled. Therapist Paul Alias "Coach" This blessing has been a big surprise. I had been unsure what to do about the pain in my left arm. Years of repetitive injury had made it practically impossible to move without a lot of pain and stiffness. I was diagnosed with "frozen shoulder", a rather painful debilitating condition in which the complete use of the shoulder joint is restricted. Since I also have an additional myriad of physical limitations, I was referred to in-home physical therapy by Luna. After a seamless scheduling, I was told that a young man by the name of Paul, would be my physical therapist, and that I needed to clear out a space in a room big enough to fit 2 chairs and a table. Next, I was also given the date and time I should expect him to arrive at my home. Unfortunately, I had not been able to raise my arm more than a few inches without extreme pain in 2 years. So, prior to my first appointment, I did a lot of online research about my shoulder's condition. This only served to make me afraid of failure but I was still determined to give therapy a try, and to do my best anyway. The first visit was better than I imagined. After, setting up his equipment, he performed numerous test to gauge my current abilities verses disabilities. Paul has an easy-does-it, motivational approach that nurtures while firmly encouraging. His concise explanations and descriptive instructional techniques are spot on. His secret skill, is that with each session; he helps to direct his clients towards the understanding that he can intuitively recognize their greater capabilities. His way of subtle projection onto his clients is motivating without being demanding so that before you know it, you are committed to doing the hard work and becoming capable of achieving what Paul knew you could from the very beginning. Today, after quite a few sessions with him and remaining committed to doing the hard work, some unexpected things happened. First, I can now raise my arm up straight in the air above my head. Secondly, I have developed core strength I haven't had in decades. But the best part is I have gained a new attitude about being mindful of the rest of my body including my breathing; during and after movement. Thanks Luna, I have never believed men could be angels before, but since I prayed for one and Paul is the one who answered the call, he has now made a believer out of me. read more

My physical therapist Joe Garcia has bern treating me for lower back pain due to ruptured discs and also Sciatica. I have improved but still have pain in those areas. Now the discomfort has shifted to the hip which Joe is addressing. He's very caring by trying to help me have relief from the pain I'm experiencing. read more

BEWARE - bogus company! I started getting texts to "Robert" from them last week...claiming my general practitioner had "invited me to try Luna." He did not, and my name's not Robert. Since then, I've been bombarded with texts and phone calls trying to set up an appointment...all from different numbers. They called me Friday, Saturday & even on Sunday. When I tried to look the company up online, there were again lots of different phone #'s. STAY AWAY, it's a scam. read more

Update: The Provider reached out to me directly within a day and explained a glitch in their system had caused all of this and they adjusted all balances. Copy sent to the BBB: [This company is highly fraudulent in their Billing Department. I have had many arguments with them so they would bill the correct amounts that were agreed IN WRITING. For the last sessions which they forgot to bill me, once I was the one to ask them about it because I do not like having unpaid services in my records, they did not send me a bill until 4 months later when I actually requested for my medical records. Then they charged my card an outrageous random amount which I disputed with my credit card company with proof of documentations they reimbursed me. Then 4 months later they sent me another ridiculous incorrect bill at the end of the year and they started harassing me causing me a lot of emotional stress about it and finding all sorts of excuses that did not exist (such as "deductible" as that had already been met) or trying to use an explanation of benefits instead of what had been agreed AND PREVIOUSLY BILLED AND PAID FOR ALL THE PREVIOUS SESSIONS. The attachments include what they had agreed IN WRITING and what I had paid previously for 6 months, so why would 4 sessions all the suddenly be billed over twice that amount just because they feel like it? Attached was their own words and which they used for billing and that I paid for 6 months. I have also attached what the Insurance paid me for those last sessions, so they should only add the 20% on top of that as mentioned above. Baffled in Mid-City- A neighbor highly recommended Luna PT. He had received services in his home for the past year and raved about his therapist and the progress he had made. I thought in- home PT made alot of sense. I called, enrolled , and was assigned a therapist (only available @ 6:30 pm.) I knew from experience to make sure the prior in- home agency had closed their case before services could begin. I had five weekly sessions with a excellent PT. I could see improvement and except for the constant inane texts from the app, I liked Luna's PT program. Until.....last week. I got a text from my PT that all future appts were cancelled. When I called the number provided i was told - they still required a copy of the discharge paperwork from the previous home health provider. I checked my Medicare acct on line. Luna had already been paid for several sessions. "Thats odd" I thought , knowing Medicare won't reimburse for services if there is an open case somewhere else. I made calls back and forth for a week to make sure the paperwork was faxed again. ( and again) Luna always said nothing had been received and I could not continued. I finally gave up. Then this morning I got a new text from Luna that stated they had received the paperwork and I could call and set up an appt. Yea!! I was hopeful. I called right away but .....NOPE, they did not have the paperwork - end of story. My opinion... Their business model is nationwide and highly automated. Giving Luna the benefit of a doubt, maybe the agency is not fraudulent. However, something is amiss. Their customer service is not helpful, vague, abrupt, impersonal and franky hurtful. The therapists seem to be good but proceed with caution. Another friend heard my story and said "Thats odd , the same thing happened to me..The therapist just stopped coming without explanation." read more

He is very knowledgable in every facet of physiology and is able to relieve some of the pain I am experiencing in my L1 through 5 vertebrae since my spinal fusion in 2006. I recently had a knee replaced, and I could not have gotten better quality of care than I got with Matthew Barnes! He took his time to really listen and then answer all of my questions thoroughly. He helped me make best use of the equipment I have in my house and had suggestions to make me more comfortable. He was a cheerleader and so encouraging when I was feeling very discouraged. My experience with the Luna staff was also outstanding. They got right back to me when I first called them and told me which therapist would be coming to see me. Matthew showed up right on time every time and was flexible with his schedule. He even came to see me on Saturday after the surgery so I wouldn't go more than two days without getting some therapy! In short, I would not hesitate to recommend Luna to others who need inpatient physical therapy services. read more

Marisa, my Physical Therapist is knowledgeable and listens carefully to my concerns, then suggests treatments to alleviate the pain. She always arrives on time. I love that she comes to me and gives me her full attention for the entire 50 minutes. She takes a personal interest in me, my activities and my level of pain. The Luna ap is especially helpful, reminding me of upcoming appointments and detailing the prescribed exercises. It gives me a way to keep track of them. Let me state that I have no direct experience with a therapist but do want to address my initial contacts. After walking through the process of registering as a patient and nearing the end of the call, I was asked for a credit card to have on file for late cancellation purposes and that I would be charged $90 if there was not 24 hour cancellation. As a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist I am very familiar with the cancellation policies. However, my office does not take a "just-in-case" approach of asking for a credit card. That was the first yellow flag for me. I did not book an appointment that day nor did I give a credit card number. After seeing the reviews on YELP my gut reaction was validated. Today I was considering another go at it and was willing to leave card information, until I read YELP. It appears that there are inconsistencies in what is shared on the phone and what is done through the billing office. The fact that there are several negative comments that relate to finances and insurances have caused me again to walk away. When the billing department improves its processes, I may reconsider. For now, I will look elsewhere. read more

Physical therapy on my shoulder: Recently, I wrote a review about this company and about the person who treated my injured shoulder. I posted a review, but it disappeared. I assume that I pressed the wrong computer key which caused my review not to post. As I recall everything I wrote in my initial review, I will summarize it below. The therapist assigned to me is excellent and is quite knowledgeable about his field. He is pleasant and does not try to push me to do exercises that would be too painful for my injured shoulder. My shoulder was diagnosed with a tendon tear after an MRI. The tendon tear is a result of my overworking my shoulder while using an exercise machine. The therapist's knowledge, skills, and patience make him highly recommended. read more
