I've been seeing Dr. Grasmeyer for a bit now and let me tell you, I couldn't be happier. And I'm feeling so much better.. After having lower back pain for over a year, I went through several doctors trying to figure out what was wrong with me. With the prior doctors, it was always the same, rush me in, adjust me, get me out. "Oh, and here's a stretch you can try goodbye". like an assembly line.. although I would try to give them specific details about my issue, it seemed to go through one ear and out the other, and all they seemed concerned with was getting me in and getting me out. With Dr Grasmeyer it's been such a different and positive experience. On my initial visit I gave him as many details about my pain as I could, such as where it hurts when it usually hurts the worst what kind of movements makes it hurt, etc. etc. etc. I must've spoke for 10 minutes about it. when I was finished, he repeated the highlights of every single thing I had mentioned. Finally, somebody who truly cares and listens and takes the time to do so. Also, he's great at helping you understand whats causing your pain and how you can address it. Never in my life have I looked forward to a doctor's appointment. I had a rotator cuff injury from a car accident. One doctor evaluated the injury as a "wait and see" case, and the second may have done more damage than help. By the time I reached out to Dr. Grasmeyer, I was pretty concerned that the limitations to my mobility would be a permanent thing. Given that I actually enjoy using my dominant arm for things, like sleeping comfortably, high-fiveing people, slamming gearboxes on manual transmission race cars, and - training for an Ironman Triathlon - this left me deeply depressed about the possibilities of my new, less functional life. I am an elite rower and when I injured my rib I knew I needed someone who worked with athletes and wasn't just a regular chiropractor. Dr Grasmeyer lives up to all this. He is a great listener and understands if I don't want to have a certain area worked on or if I need more attention to a specific area. He is very skilled at soft tissue work and myofascial release. Even when I come in for maintenance, he seems to find an area that is super tight and works it out. He has done great work for my ribs/lats, neck, hip flexors and hamstrings. I had some pretty bad knee pain from overuse, could barely walk since it swelled up. I've always been really active so was really dreading to hear what was going on. I called Justin on a Saturday morning and he was able to see me that day. He treated it and it was a lot better. Went for a few follow-up appointments and really helped over the next few weeks. After around 3 years of going to Dr. Grasmeyer for injuries from a car accident, I just discovered he is on yelp. So, here's my glowing review. It has has been a challenge trying to get my body to feel better after basically experiencing whiplash from the very bottom of my spine all the way up to a head injury. After the initial PT that I got, I basically plateaued. And I had to stop PT bc they couldn't charge my insurance unless I was showing documented progress. Anyway, I was referred to Dr. Grasmeyer by a trusted yoga instructor and was hesitant at first bc I don't like what I've seen at what Doc calls "chiropractic farms". (In and out in 10 min) Since going to Dr. Grasmeyer, he has literally been the only Dr. (or anything) that has helped my back and neck improve. And I have seen SIGNIFICANT improvements. This far after my accident, I'm basically willing to try anything, but not if Dr. Grasmeyer doesn't think it's a good practice. He's incredibly knowledgeable and helps you understand what's going on within your body. I have recommended him to multiple friends. And my friend went to him and went in a couple times and he just told her that was all she needed. That must have been a year ago and just the other day she told me her back has not bothered her since. And at the time, she had been in so much pain that she took a week off work. I cannot recommend Dr. Grasmeyer more! My insurance doesn't pay but I pay out of pocket bc I'm not willing to go to anyone else. If you are in pain, don't wait one more minute and give him a call! I worked in a kitchen for close to 10 years. I suffer from lower back tightness/ soreness. I have used yoga as a way to give myself therapy, but recently run into Dr. Gasmeyer and his services. The other reviews by the other patients are spot-on. Otherwise free parking was available, the facilities were clean, and I felt comfortable. I see Dr. Grasmeyer every other week for therapy and I have found improvement. I am not an athlete, but I do practice yoga and enjoy cardio workouts. Besides back, Justin has provided relief in glutes, quads, hamstrings, taps, shoulders, and neck. Justin is a Fantastic chiropractor! Interested and invested in actually healing you! Justin is helpful and very personable. He is not your stereotypical rip you apart and crack you to death chiropractor. Focusing on myofascial release he works a lot more on muscle therapy than forced adjustment. I recently went on vacation and had a small injury for which I called him for advice. He returned my call very quickly with tips on how to help and what not to do to cause more of an issue. Dr. Justin Grasmeyer came highly recommended to me by my manager at work, and I can see why. I am a marathoner who for the last few years goes to her races injured. I recently had a lower back (L4,L5,S1) procedure done by Disc Sports and Spine Center by a Dr. Mir. My rehab was then handled by Justin, who is an associate of Dr. Mir with the same center. Justin was extremely helpful in getting me back from a difficult surgery in terms of mobility and building strength in my lower back.
