Lunar replaced a block border around a tree with boulders and did a terrific job. The existing border was uneven because of tree roots. Vito suggested the boulders not only because they would look nice but also because they would move with the tree roots over time. Vito and his team did an amazing job on our landscaping. Five guys showed up and completely transformed the front of our house with new flowers, bushes and mulch, laid new sod on our parkway and tore out about 6 feet tall brush along the entire side of our house to be replaced with gravel. They were done in 4-5 hours and cleaned up after themselves extremely well. The workers were friendly and Vito showed up to double check all of the work. If you want your shrubs and evergreens damaged, this is the company for you. I'll start with the lawn services, if you have landscape blocks they will hit them and leave them in disarray, they leave ruts in the turf with their equipment, and destroy the lawn. Paid for fall and spring cleanup and perennials were not cut down and leaves were still on property. Now for the snow removal, after several calls to Vito his employees still piled snow on the bushes and evergreens after I stipulated in the contract that I am paying for his services and it should be done the way I want it. I told Vito if he could not do this to let me know and I will go somewhere else. If your driveway is 2 cars wide plan on having it being only 1+3/4 cars wide, as his workers have no idea what they are doing, and they are very rude, my wife said one was swearing at her. Wish I was home I would have gone out and cleaned his clock. Last year I told Vito that I did not want a plow truck doing the drive and he said all his residential work is done with snow blower and shovels. well sure as shit he had a plow truck doing my driveway so i called him and he flat out lied and said they did not use a plow truck, so I told him I had it on my security cams and he said it wasn't his truck. Bullshit, it had Lunar Landscaping on the doors. They also constantly blocked the gate with shoveled snow going to my backyard. In closing I would like to state that Lunar Landscaping is no longer servicing my property and never will again. I wouldn't let these guys put a tomato plant in my yard. I will never use Lunar Landscaping again for any service. After agreeing to the terms of the contract and price it took Lunar a full month before they were able to fulfill the contract. They didn't call to let me know when I was scheduled and didn't call me the day of, they just showed up. The job they did was adequate, but they left me with no instructions as to how to care for the patches they put in, how long before I should mow or how long before the patches would fully take hold. After the job was done I was told that they didn't accept payment by credit card for anything less than $1,000. If they had told me that before I had them do the job I wouldn't have gotten it done this year. After six weeks it was apparent that one of the patches didn't take hold. After calling Lunar to come out and re-seed I was informed that I wasn't properly taking care of my patches. Perhaps if I was given instructions in the beginning I would have been? They agreed that they would come out and re-seed the one patch that didn't take. It has now been two full months since I placed my last call and they have still not come out to re-seed my yard. If you want someone to adhere to the contract you sign then DO NOT use Lunar landscaping. They are only out to make a quick buck and take no pride in their work. I will not use them again and would encourage anyone who needs lawn care services to look elsewhere. read more

So many lawn care companies to choose from, I would skip this one. Started 2019 fine, they did a good job, including the backyard. 2020 was a nightmare. They neglected the back of the property, did not keep up on it, and I ended up with nothing but weeds, everywhere. When we questioned owner about putting down fertilizer, we saw no obvious fertilizer or flag, he got pissy with us, and said he would not work with us. For a while, we had been wanting to redo our front landscaping. Not having an eye for landscape design, we asked Vito from Lunar landscaping come out to give us what he thought would work best for our space and our requirements (that it be low maintenance and look good hah). We had other companies do the same but Vito stood head and shoulders above the rest both in terms of his ability to get us excited about his vision as well as his clear passion for his job. We were initially hesitant to go with Lunar because we saw some of the bad reviews here but ended up deciding to move forward because it was very clear to us that he knew his stuff and that he loved what he did. It's always a pleasure to work with people like that. His work (and his team's) work is great. Prior to performing the work, he walked us through what he was going to do very clearly so we knew what to expect. Not only did he follow through with what was agreed upon in the contract, he went above and beyond as if it was his own yard he was taking care of. Unprompted and without charge, he and his team weeded and mulched a side garden we had neglected for years. They weeded out our driveway as well as our front porch area. They saw that we had a gutter drain that was clogged with dirt so they unclogged it for us. Basically, they saw what needed to be done and took it upon themselves to just do it for us. In an industry where it seems that many are out to do the bare minimum, Vito and his team have set themselves head and shoulders above the competition. We subsequently cancelled the mowing service we were using to switch to Lunar landscaping. When their work was done, Vito once again, walked us through what they did and gave us very clear directions on how to care for the new plants. A minor con was that when we decided to move forward, it took about 2 months before his team could come out and do the work. We procrastinated and waited until mid summer to book him so it's not wholly unexpected that his schedule would fill up so learn from us and book early in the season. That said, while we were waiting, we felt good about our decision because we would rather be working with someone in high demand than someone whose schedule is wide open. read more

Not pleased. Good job on the spring cleaning, but regular maintenance was very poor. Mowing was choppy, uneven, missed spots all over the front yard and along the sides of the driveway. I asked about weeding the front lawn early on, and was told it would be done by end of May. Not only wasn't it, but the areas in the lawn where there many weeds was not even mowed!? I cannot believe the horrific experience I just had with one of these snow plow drivers. I was in the parking lot, headed towards the exit. The snow plower was in front of me and began reversing EXTREMELY fast almost hitting my car. In order to prevent an accident, I honked my horn. (as most people do..hence the use of a horn) The driver became irate and started throwing his arms around. The man reversed next to the passenger side of my car, and started shouting. My husband then rolled down our window, telling the man to stop speaking to his wife that way(me) and exclaimed that he almost hit our car reversing without looking and at a very fast rate. The man was motioning with the end of his plower as if he were going to hit our car. I told the man that we are in a recorded parking lot and that I was going to call the police. Because at that point he was getting out of control. The man told us to "Fu*k off, better yet call the fuc*in company!" I called the company in that moment and asked to speak with a manager and came to find out the manager was also in the same parking lot watching the entire incident!! The man told us to be patient with them, and i'm sure he did absolutely nothing. Be patient? I'm driving a small 2 door car, I almost got hit by an irate snow plow driver and I'm told to be patient?? I can't imagine if I were there in that situation alone, how that man could have conducted himself. I contacted the police, and gave them the company info. I hope for everyone else's sake that they dont have to endure that. read more
