Corned Beef Sandwich (not that great)
    Zach G.

It's not great, compared to other businesses in the area they are lucky they are still there. I do understand they have been there for a very long time. So respect and big ups! I never wanna see a small business go under, EVER! It just wasn't good, average AT BEST. Reminded me of a floppy sandwich I could get by getting some packaged lunch meat and packaged bread from the grocery store. Nothing special. Average basic sauce possibly big name bottle. I expected better. Used to taste better. Small front entrance can barely fit 6 people. Absolutely no parking. Pricey for what you get. I want better for this place, but personally I will not be back. Too many awesome other options in the area, for example: Uncle Harry's Deli, that spot is LEGIT!!! Do better Lunch Box Deli, please. Much Love, -Zach

We enjoyed Lunch Box Deli for lunch. There is no in-dining option right now, but you can order on their app and pick up right at the front door. Very easy! These sandwiches have clever names and taste very fresh and homemade. We always love a warmed up sandwich too.

    Cobb Salad delicious!

The inside has an old-school diner vibe, which could be charming, but the overall experience didn't quite match. Staff interaction was neutral--not unfriendly, but not particularly welcoming either. My husband ordered the Lynne sandwich and I had the Adele, along with a bowl of matzo ball soup. The soup was definitely the highlight--flavorful and comforting--but at nearly $9 for a bowl, it felt overpriced for what you get. Unfortunately, the sandwiches didn't live up to expectations. The meat was piled in the center of the bread, leaving the ends with little to nothing in each bite, which made them feel poorly constructed and just overall mediocre. We were also surprised by the number of upcharges--extra for toasting the bread, extra for grilling, and even a 3% fee for using a credit card. It all adds up quickly. For two sandwiches and a shared soup, our total came to just over $40, which felt steep given the quality. It's disappointing because we wanted to like this place, but the high prices just didn't align with the food or experience. Unfortunately, we'll likely be crossing Uncle Harry's off our list.

It has a cute, classic diner feel--nothing recently updated, but it was clean and comfortable. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful, which we appreciated. We brought our three young kids and ordered them each a kids meal: chicken tenders with fries, spaghetti, and a cheeseburger with fries. The portions were generous and we even had leftovers, but at $10 per kids meal, the pricing felt pretty steep. We started with the bread basket and pickles, which were both good. My husband ordered the Monterey Jack chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy. He first tried the chicken noodle soup but thought it had a sour aftertaste, so he switched to the beef barley, which unfortunately wasn't much better. His chicken entrée had good flavor, but it was just one thin, butterflied chicken breast. I ordered the New Yorker with fries, which I enjoyed--it was solid and satisfying. When the bill came to around $80, it just didn't feel justified for a deli/diner-style meal. Overall, the food was okay, but the pricing felt high for what you get--especially for a family outing. I might stop in again solo for a sandwich, but we likely won't be bringing the whole family back, mainly due to the cost of the kids meals.
