The process was smooth, the communication was quick, and the installation was top notch! The icing on the cake was when the inspectors came and told us that "the solar panel installation was the best" that they've seen. When I asked why they said this, they said that the panels were not drilled into the roof tiles, and that we would never have to worry about a damaged roof or leaks. Overall, we were happy with the effort and I would recommend Lundy Solar and Roofing Co. Wyndon, Michelle, and team ("Lundy") re-roofed (GAF shingles), upgraded the electrical to 200A, and installed solar (LG with Enphase microinverters). They did the legwork with the permits, interfaced with the county building inspectors, and performed the necessary activities (e.g. applications with PG&E) to get the system released and approved by PG&E. At the completion of the project, they provided us a binder with copies of the paperwork, permits and solar panel datasheets and drawings. Note worthy things: Work progress communication; appreciate Wyndon following COVID protocols (also had a portable potty parked in front) and flexibility when the roofing inspector had a last minute cancellation; he was negotiable with our budget; he also threw in the roof ridge installation and additional O'Hagin roof vent without additional charge; cosmetically, he painted the stainless steel electrical roof conduit to match the roof shingle color. Timeline wise. The de-roof took half day, roofing (with at least 6 guys on the roof) with 3 sun tunnel installations occurred on one day, electrical upgrade one day, and the solar install took 3 days. Scheduling PG&E work to disconnect the power took one month due to PG&E availability; inspections took days (I forgot the actual number) due to inspector availability; and PG&E application/system activation took two weeks (finalized end of 2020). As an aside: CA requires signatories (btw consumer and solar installer) of the CA Solar Consumer Protection guide (https://www.cpuc.ca.gov/solarguide/) prior to signing a solar contract where it requires, for example, the consumer to get at least 3 bids. With taxes, we got a rebate from the government for solar installation. read more

Lundy provides good quality work with competitive price! In my case, I request Lundy to do reroofing, and solar panels installation for my house in Pleasanton. The work for reroofing was very neat, and I don't have to worry about anything. They clean up all the stuff after the installation. Solar installation in my area is a little bit challenging, however, Lundy handles all the design and negotiations with the city government. Again, I don't have to worry about anything. Wyndon(the owner) tries to do as much as he can. He always explains the details in an easy to understand way, and makes sure we're always on the same page. During the solar panel final review, he realized there are some areas of my house needs to be painted, and even they're irrelevant to the roof/solar installation, he did that for me. This company has the best customer service in the area. After reviewing several solar companies, I ended up selecting Lundy Solar and Roofing. They were referred to me by a coworker who also used them for his house. Wyndon (owner) did a great job installing my solar panels and he provided several roof layouts to pick from. I'm happy to report that today (two years after initial installation) we have produced 41 Mega Watt Hours from 27 panels (300W each) with Enphase micro inverters. I definitely don't miss my old $350 PG&E monthly bill, and I love the monthly Enphase custom report calculating my system's positive impact on the environment. They were great communicating what needs to be done, how they are going to do it, and also the timelines.We recently redid our roof with shingles and are completely satisfied. What impressed me most was the cleanliness around their work. Everyday the work was clean with no residue on the ground around the house. One day Wyndon even picked the last bits of pieces on the ground when he saw my kids playing outside. The work itself is very neat and aesthetically pleasing. I needed a variety of things done on my roof: replace a number of broken tiles, dry rot in a barge rafter, and lay a couple hundred feet of gutter covers. I got a number of estimates from highly reviewed roofing companies - and ended up with a number of high estimates. Lundy stood out both in their reasonable bid and also willingness to take on all aspects (in particular - somehow gutter covers scared a couple companies away). Not only that, they were willing to work with our own supplied gutter covers. As the scheduled day approached, Wyndon and Michelle worked through the details and plans to drop off materials. My original installer went under. My inverter went bad and need to be replaced. Other installers, including some recommended in the solaredge website, were either too busy, or only work on their own customer installations.
