Came here with family for an early Mother's Day dinner on Saturday, and wow... this place was PACKED. Even with the huge crowd, the service stayed on point from beginning to end. Food came out in great timing, staff stayed attentive, and the restaurant itself was super clean including the restrooms, which honestly says a lot when a place is this busy. The food was outstanding. It was actually my first time trying pupusas from El Salvador, and they had one with salmon and an egg on top that was completely out of this world. Definitely one of the most unique and best things I've tried in a long time. My whole family had an amazing time, and that's hard to do with a large group on a busy holiday weekend. While I have visited this Lupe Tortilla before this will be my first review here. My menu order for this visit was their Tilapia Veracruz entree for $19. It comes with rice and your choice of beans and I asked for charro, The chips and salsa and beans arrived immediately with the beans being something different than you get from other Tex Mex restaurants. I enjoyed the beans and salsa. The entree arrived on a sizzling platter and consisted of an 8 oz fillet with shrimp on top and a red pepper cream sauce and some queso mixed in. The sauce was bubbling on the skillet. This meal tasted very good with the cream sauce mixing well with the fish and shrimp and the rice all on the skillet. I liked it. I have been here more times than I can count. I think that Lupe is one of the best Mexican restaurants. It's consistent but it's not cheap so just know that going in. They have bar seating, patio, and outdoor. It's a fun inside the way it's decorated. It can get crowded easily on weekends. They have a good amount of parking around the restaurant since they share the area with a shopping center. The fajita beef is so tasty. The queso is always the right consistency and taste. It's quality for sure (I love queso so I have to try it anywhere I go and this is always at the top for me). The tres leches is so good. Their tortillas are the best I've had, they're huge and always fresh tasting. They have a wide selection of margaritas that are also great. The quesadillas are the right consistency and super tasty! Today was my second time visiting Lupe while on work trips and they do a great job every time. The biggest thing to highlight here is always the service. They have IMPECCABLE service. Even when we had a party of 30+ people, they were able to accommodate us and make sure we were taken care of at all times the entire visit. Great job on the service here. Today, there were only three of us and service was still perfect. During happy hours (weekdays 3:00-6:00PM), there is a $1.50 draft beer. You can't argue with that. We also ordered the guac and queso on the side which had hefty portions and tasted great. For my meal, I ordered the steak Lupe (10 oz) and although it tasted fine and had habaneros and 2 other kinds of chili (SPICY), I was a bit let down on what I got for ($31). First time here and I was visiting from Dallas. They gave us a small sample of fajita meat and it was amazing! I got the barbacoa brunch tacos and it was a lot of food. 2 tacos with eggs, potatoes and refried beans. My daughter got the chicken tenders with fries kids meal and the best part was the ice cream that came with her meal. I tried the ruby red Rita which was quite delicious. I stopped coming to Lupe Tortilla long time ago after they changed the Cheekin Flautas. So first in a long time. I was in a large group for a holiday lunch. Everyone enjoyed their food and our waiter was prompt and on top of it. He even took time to take our group photo. I had the lunch fajitas and I loved the chicken more than the beef. We had a great time at Lupe tortilla. The restaurant was spacious and we were seated right away. It was pretty busy on a Sunday evening so they took a little longer to take our order, but they gave us free samples of the beef tacos as a service - which was delicious! After trying out the samples, we got the beef and shrimp fajitas. They place it in a hot plate which keeps the meats warm. I also appreciated how they gave us the fajitas wraps in a pot to keep it warm throughout the meal. Loved all the sides it came with to make the perfect wrap. The guacamole was delicious and I absolutely enjoyed having it with the chips as well as the fajitas. I would recommend going hungry as the portions are large! We had leftovers which we packed in togo boxes. We did have to ask for silverwares again as they cleared our table pretty fast. read more

I've never eaten here before I ordered the beef fajitas and cheese enchiladas and a margarita to go I picked up my order and the beef fajitas were some of the best I've ever had. They were flavorful. They were tender and very generous portion. The cheese enchiladas turned out to be chicken enchiladas so my order was wrong, but they also were absolutely delicious so I just ate them and didn't complain They were getting very busy on a Friday night so I'd say this is the top rated restaurant. I've been ordering the beef fajitas at Lupe Tortilla for years, but my recent visits have been disappointing. The quality of the beef seems to have declined noticeably. Instead of the tender, flavorful cuts I used to enjoy, the meat now contains too many tough, chewy pieces with tendons that make it unpleasant to eat--at times I've even had to spit it out. It's frustrating because this used to be one of my favorite dishes, and I really hope they return to the quality they were known for in the past. read more

Since it is only a few days before Christmas on a Thursday night, this Lupe Tortillas had a line out the door . Within 10 minutes, we were seated, and our server Hugo had our chips , drink orders, and food orders taken care of in the next 5 minutes . This Texas location has good Tex mex down. The Lupe Cheese enchilada with tamale ancho sauce and carne molida chalupa is enough to keep you filled after a 2 hour workout jujitsu session. Served with rice and frijoles( that's bean for the you gringoes) you will not leave the table hungry. I took my future son their for a special treat and he could only eat half since the portions were ginormous. We decided to use their private room dining room for a graduation party a few weeks back and was so impressed with the service and quality of food. I have visited this location several times with friends who are regulars there. Whether I sit at the bar, outdoor table, or indoor table, service has been pretty good. Food is always good too. They always give you a bean dip and salsa with chips complimentary. This time I sat at the bar and ordered grilled fish tacos and two mojitos. All were delicious! The bartenders fresh squeeze lime and lemon juices all day long. Very awesome. The grilled fish was so dense that I almost thought it was chicken at first. I really love Lupe tortilla, I really can't say anything bad about this place. My partner and I came about an hour before closing and they were so gracious. They told us not to hurry, they treated us like we could stay all night. We left before closing, just for the record. My partner had cheese enchiladas and I had the beef fajitas and they were both excellent. We also had the queso which is always fabulous. Lupe made some major changes since my last visit. They expanded the bar area and it looks great! Now, instead of one crowded strip, the area is a square with the bartender inside the middle portion. It really looks great! They needed that remodel for sure. No bar today, but I do like knowing this was revamped for a future date. I don't think I've ever been disappointed with Lupe Tortilla. They have delicious food and big portions (even for lunch). I rate my Tex-Mex by chips and salsa, since to me, that can be a meal in itself. Their chips are thin and the salsa is smokey. I love it! They also have the warm salsa with beans. It's okay, but I prefer the smokey one. It is served cold, but next time I might ask them to warm it. I think that would make it even better. For my entrée, I had The Pedro. It comes with a beef enchilada, a cheese enchilada, plus rice and beans. It was very good. I love the chili sauce on top of the enchiladas. The sweet tea with lemon was pretty good too. Our waiter seemed a little distracted today. We had to ask several times for the same item. We were only a party of 3, but he had a larger group sitting near our table. I can give grace on this because he was very nice. Just needed to be a little more focused. The restarant is pretty noisy, so be prepared for that. I prefer quieter places, but I love their food, so it's a trade off. :) All in all, we enjoyed our meal and the chance to get out of the office. Well done, LT - and again, THAT BAR! !! BEEF FAJITAS FTW !! The fresh tortillas here are thin, gigantic in diameter, and absolutely delicious. The beef fajitas here are some of the best I've ever had anywhere. You must order them even though they are kind of pricey! The beef is super tender and what makes them truly special is an incredibly hard sear which gives a caramelized flavor as well as texture from crisped edges. Everyone let out an "ooooooh" after they took a bite. I wish I could have gotten a picture but the dining area was very dim (a little too dim if you ask me). Paired with good chips, salsa, bean dip, and margs and you've got a winner! The fish tacos also looked great but can't compete with the beef fajitas. My wife had very rude service when picking up our order tonight. The order was not ready when my wife arrived, which is fine. However, when politely asked how long it would take, the employee became rude. After the food came out, part of the order was missing. When the gal came out with the missing chips, she rudely handed it to my wife without saying anything. What happened?? I used to love their tortilla chips but they changed it and the chips are just meh now. The steak fajita I guess I get it post Covid-19 inflation so they use crummier meats than previous. The chicken fajita tastes about the same. Their flour tortilla are still my favorite. I even gotten it to go with the roast duck that I got from Chinatown. The service is pretty decent usually. The margaritas are always decent.
