I'm so glad I found this spot. Located in a strip mall, this restaurant felt very authentic and the food was absolutely delicious. I tried the quesabirria with chicken and my partner had beef. Both were absolutely delicious and I would come back for it. I will say it was a little greasy, but I think that's to be expected. The consommé was very flavorful and I found myself drinking it once the tacos were done lol. When you walk in, you order at the desk, pay, and then you can sit down and the food is brought to you. The service was fast and friendly, no complaints there. There seems to be plenty of seating inside, although I'm not sure how busy it gets. Nothing fancy, but the food was great.! read more

I saw that this restaurant opened in my neighborhood and couldn't wait to try it. They had me at authentic Mexican food. We went on a Saturday when we happened to be in the area and we're the only ones inside. The young lady at the counter helped us decide on Quesabirria and took her time explaining each food item we questioned. She apologized for not being able to express herself well because English is not her first language. I assured her she was doing just fine and she was. She was so sweet and kind and explained each and every item we asked about. The food is cooked to order so you get hot, fresh food. We also got horchata that was made fresh and tasted amazing. The Quesabirria came with a bowl of soup and she also dropped off some sauces to our table. The food tasted amazing. You could taste the fresh ingredients and the love that went into it. I can't wait to go back. I've been telling anyone who will listen about my amazing experience here and how good the food tastes. The service!!!!! The service is exceptional!!!!! THE EXPERIENCE So I'm in the area and I'm looking for something different than the 10 Jamaican food joints that can be seen in the quarter mile radius. I end up doing a quick google search and I come across this place that offers Mexican food. So I figured I'd give it a try and head over. I get the chicken fajita and the wait was not too bad. I get my food and go. When I finally get home with it I realize I got served these 2 little squared sections of the foam plate worth of rice and refried beans in each section. And the bottom part was where the chicken and fajita vegetable were. Immediately I noticed this was not going to be balanced. I finished up with the rice and refried beans and had over 70 percent of the chicken still left. THE FOOD The actual food was subpar, the rice was not the softest or tastiest I have had, the refried beans were bland and lukewarm at best. The chicken texture was off like if it was the cheap quality chicken from the grocery store. The tastiest part of the entire meal was the fajita vegetables and those were very scarce making the entire meal 80 percent chicken 10 percent fajita vegetables and 5 percent rice and 5 percent refried beans. CONCLUSION For a main plate that costs about 18 dollars you would think this would actually taste authentic and the portion would reflect that of an actual Mexican restaurant but with how stingy they were with their food portion you would think this was from a hipster Mexican food joint in a gentrified part of the city which it is absolutely not that. I would never send my worse enemy here because I like to think I'm not that heartless. Lesson learned I must say, this is the last time I hope to ever find myself in this poor excuse of a restaurant. read more

Having been lucky enough to spend a lot of time in multiple places in Mexico from D.F to Oaxaca to Baja to Tulum, I can assure you the food here is on-par. You could be forgiven if you thought this comida was in SoCal, that's how good it is for US standards, the fact that it's found in Stone Mountain GA is just amazing! This food is far from authentic... it just okay nothing special about this place . Don't get the elote theirs are prepared with just mayo and tajin. I'm definitely disappointed since they have a sign that says all sales are final. So purchase our food even if it's nasty food and don't complain. Oh and you will pay $6:50 for chips and salsa. My husband and I love tacos and were happy to see a new Mexican spot opened nearby. It's in the plaza behind the Zaxby's off Redan & Hairston so there's plenty of parking in front of the restaurant. Our first time dining here, we ate inside. It's very cozy inside, felt authentic. We ordered the birria tacos, chicken tacos and steak tacos. Service inside was decent. Our food felt fresh, made to order. We have been here a few times when we crave tacos. I do think the birria could use a bit more flavor and I don't care for the chickpeas in the soup (my husband loves it) but the other options on the menu we've tried haven't disappointed! read more

I was happy to see a new authentic Mexican restaurant in the neighborhood. I have had the chicken tacos and chicken burrito, during several visits. I was initially very impressed with this business. On my last visit, my opinion dropped from 5 stars to 3 stars. This why, they now have an up charge for requests for flour tortillas instead of corn tortillas. The up charge is $1.00 for each taco. I understand rising costs for food. But, if this is the policy, then it should be on the menu board. I refuse to pay $1.00 for a single tortilla. read more

I ordered 2 soups because I was extremely sick, hoping this would help me get better.1 soup was chicken, the other was menudo. On the website it describes menudo as beef soup. When I tried to eat a spoonful it clearly was pork. My family doesn't eat pork for religious reasons. The chicken soup was plain unseasoned boiled chicken, no veggies no herbs.
