I had never had my hair colored and usually got it cut at Great Clips. I trusted Claudette completely and asked her to do whatever she thought would look good. BOY did she do an amazing job! The result was my profile pic. After that, I tried to save a few $$ by going to a Groupon place. It was OK - but once the highlighting was repeatedly done, I was essentially a blond. NOT COOL. So I returned to Claudette and have never stopped going. Every session with her is perfect. Always something a little different and she always takes her time and does things right. NO SHORT CUTS. Given the multi-locations and multi-techs it took awhile to book a time that suited me. I did think they are overpriced compared to other nail salons. I had a very pleasant experience in person. I walked in and checked in on the tablet, making it very easy. I used the restroom and saw a coffee/cocktail bar that surprised me a bit. I did get a glass of water at the self-serve desk by the entrance. I sat in a comfortable chair and when my tech was ready, I was seated at her station. Great pedi and I liked Selma who wasn't pressured to make conversation. I'm good with quiet. She put me at a different seat to use the nail dryer. My toes look great. After the pedi and as I was being moved, I accidently knocked my water glass off the side of the chair. It broke and made a mess. They didn't yell at me. I felt bad, but someone quickly arrived with a broom and dustpan. At the check out desk, I was informed I got 25% off as it was my first visit. Yay! I used my giftcard and have $ leftover. She was very transparent about pricing and overall extension maintenance. I cannot believe how perfectly she color matched my hair to my extensions. It looks seamless and still has dimension. I didn't need any hair color to match my bio hair. I've been in twice since installation for scheduled move ups. She has a gorgeous space in the salon lofts New Albany. I've never heard of such a thing in my life. Her Hair "gallery", which is a joke, consists of 4 wigs and a mouthy daughter who interrupts in adult conversations, as if she's grown, with nary a peep from her mother. Her "gallery" was such a disaster, I thought it was abandoned at first. I love good gospel music, just as much as anyone, I'm even a gospel singer and songwriter myself, but really, does it have to be so loud you can't hear yourself think? She talks about the comfort of her clients without offering a drink of water. While watching her daughter scrubbing up wigs and sloppily brushing them out while hanging half of them on the floor. Hmmm. While the bill gets higher and higher with her "upcharges". The worse though, is that you can't even contact her for after-care, such as a wash, or tighten. It's disgraceful that she tells a paying client when you've got them on the telephone that they'll have to hang up and navigate through this maze of a website (which seldom works or shows the needed options, mind you) to make an appt for her precious time when you're right there on the phone talking to her! Has she not heard of an appt book or even google CALENDAR!!? I've left several messages for her, via phone and website and not ONE response. I'm a willing customer, ready to part with cash and this is the irresponsible behavior I get?!! I've seen her facebook page and she offers advice, etc., which I can get on Youtube BTW and I'm sure she'll respond by saying every word I say is not true, but I have nothing to gain from criticizing her horrible work ethic. Just a friendly warning if you value your time and money and don't want to waste it on "up charge" this and "up charge" that, then save it and go elsewhere where true professionals will really give you the service you deserve. Falon customized my wig and when she placed it, it was so natural people couldnt tell it wasnt my hair which of course what you want. She was very easy to talk to and styled my hair beautifully. My ten year old had also been having some issues with her hair not growing and I was able to have Falon look at her hair and give some great ideas about what to do with her hair. We just left her salon getting my daughters hair done and it is night and day from what she looked like when we got there to how great her hair looked after the appointment.

Albeit what we asked for was rather simple; a trim with some layers. A blow dry and style wasn't included but when you're looking for quick and cheap, that's not a deal breaker. A wash and cut was very fairly priced which is nice for the stylist because it leaves room for a better tip. Overall, my daughter likes her haircut, my wallet is happy, and I now have place a few blocks from where I live to take my kid for a quick service.
