I got an acai smoothie which had acai, orange juice, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, banana, and agave - it was a perfect balance of sour and sweet, and just what I needed for a warm desert day. The restaurant has plenty of seating, and if you're in a rush, they have some grab and go items. I ended up getting one of the prepacked quinoa salads because it was side order sized. Came here for brunch with a friend one day (it was both of our first time)! I ended up getting a berry smoothie because it was hot out and it did not disappoint. But, it was a bit pricey for what it was (small portion) and not anything out-of-this-world special. My friend ordered an acai bowl and enjoyed it but mentioned it was a bit runny. An acai bowl should be more of a thicker consistency rather than a smoothie-like consistency. We sat outside for a while chatting, and my friend decided to go in to get some water. The cashier charged her 25 cents per small cup of water! Never seen anywhere else do this, so we found it a bit odd. I was very disappointed with this place. And truthfully the dude behind the counter is what prompted me to review. He was so rude and dismissive, he was like an SNL character. No apology, the girl behind the counter just takes it back. We wait and wait. I go back up and say hey I'm just waiting for toast. And she says, yeah we'll call you when it's done. Will you though? I got a bowl of rice and beans. Incredibly small. BFF got avocado toast, completely undressed. Just mushed avocado, no salt, no lemon, nada. The toast comes and the girl brings it over. And then tells me, oh actually we don't have butter. Seriously, this is shit service. The food was ok, maybe even a little above ok. But the service was very annoying. Would not go back. Here we go again. I said after the last time I would forgo eating here. After 10 months of not ordering from LL I decided to order 3 days of food from them that I could take home. It wasn't super busy when I arrived before the lunch rush. I stood at the counter, first one ready to order & to the right of me was a woman waiting for her food. I have been waiting just over 10 minutes which may not sound like it is long but try it some time! It is a long time to wait and not be acknowledged! I finally said excuse me to her and "can I please place an order?" She began to tell me in a not so nice tone how busy she was and that they were so busy and what is it exactly that I needed and wanted! I said a second time I would like to place a an order to go! She had the nerve to say well we are very very busy! I said "so what does THAT mean?" She said what do you want ma'am? I said "I'll tell you what ZILCH, that is what I want!" Told her I have been here over 20 minutes while you stare at a ticket and ignore every person that has walked in! So that is it I have had enough now. This person is not qualified to even keep the orders straight or take care of customers. AGAIN TO THE OWNER...DO something!!! How many bad reviews do you need to get!! We found this spot before our spa day. I was excited to find a healthy spot with lots of vegan options. We got the Avocado toast (it's $8) Literally a slice of bread with smashed avocado on top.. nothing else. We have had a lot of avocado toast and never had it ever been so plain and so expensive. Like.. seriously???? I'm pretty sad they didn't put ANY love into an eight dollar toast.. come on.. Also for being healthy I'm curious why our food to stay was put on single use plastic... part of the reason we stayed was to not create more plastic garbage.. what a bummer. Came here in the hopes of getting a healthy meal. I ordered the raw Nori wrap with added hummus and sub the green sauce for tahini. The second item I ordered was a veggie bowl, sub the brown rice for quinoa. The third item I ordered was a celery juice with added turmeric and ginger (there was little to no turmeric or ginger, if the turmeric was present the color was the juice would've been altered and it wasn't). My order came with NO hummus after being charged for it, there was NO tahini, & no quinoa. Each time I've been here there are items missing from my order, last time I'll be coming here. This seems to be a common reoccurring issue at this place. After repeating myself twice to the cashier, I thought this time would be different, guess not. If I pay the extra money I expect to receive what I paid for. Make sure to check your to go orders before leaving 99% of the time they'll forget something :) dissatisfied to say the least. LOVE this place... The food is fresh and flavorful- I never got a bad meal there. I love having healthy food option so close to the office--and it really is the only healthy food establishment in Palm Desert. The staff is also great-friendly and helpful. It takes FOREVER to get in and out of there. The last 5 (yes 5) times I tried calling in my order, I was on hold over 10 minutes. Then I arrive to pickup and still spend 10-15 minutes on line. In fact I just tried calling an order in now and gave up. We are not even in season yet! I will probably have to just forget about eating there until the summer...which is sad. And it's not the staff's fault. The place is busy. The staff are hustling - there are just not enough people to handle the flow. This is the only reason you are getting a 2-star. The menu includes vegetarian, vegan, and meat salads, sandwiches and wraps (Paleo option available), wonderful juices, and smoothies. Everything is made fresh, so may take time to get yor food, but the wait is so worth it. Their Breakfast bowls keep me going all day long, my fav wrap is the Classic Vegetarian, and I'm working my through the juices! Sweet potato dish good. The buckwheat pancakes were dry and flat. The total with coffee and shot came to $50. The apple shot was apple cider vinegar with a lot of cayenne pepper...almost impossible drink without burning my throat. I don't think it's healthy to drink that much vinegar straight. My mom and I went here for lunch one day while we were in palm desert. I got a burrito style wrap and an acai smoothie, both were really delicious. My mom got an egg salad sandwich, that she said was probably the best that she ever had. I was really impressed with the diverse selections that they had to order, as well as all that you could buy from the grocery side of the store. I was not impressed with the people that worked there. The acai bowl is not a bowl. It's served in a parfait cup. Very disorganized and inefficient. From what I saw, they had one employee working on making the to go orders vs having everyone all hands on deck to handle the line. Secondly it looked like mobile orders repeatedly got priority vs people in line so the wait was easily start in line to finishwd product was 45 minutes.
