This is our third summer returning to this bakery for breakfast, and it continues to be one of our favorite stops in La Quinta. We were pleasantly surprised to see the recent remodel as it looks clean, fresh, and very inviting. As always, the service was warm and friendly, making us feel right at home. Breakfast was excellent across the board, but the highlight was definitely the biscuits and gravy. It may have been the best I've ever had! The biscuit itself was absolutely delicious, which isn't surprising considering it's a bakery. It tasted homemade and was the perfect foundation for the rich, flavorful gravy. We're already looking forward to coming back again next summer. Highly recommend!

Great dishes and service! Lovely local spot with ample parking in the parking lot. Seating outside on the patio as well as inside. Great bakery items as well.

Very nice clean quaint restaurant. Love the mellow music playing in the background. Went for breakfast and all 3 of us thought our choices were the best! Homemade rolls were warm and tasted like they just came out of the oven!!!

I previously gave this place a 5-star review. I retract it now, give it just 2 stars (1 seems harsh), and will never return after patronizing the bakery for years. The quality of bread for toast and sandwiches has declined. The pastry case is usually nearly empty. Service is slow. We ate there twice at night when it becomes Norma's, too. First time was quite good but the second tie was awful. There were 3 of us and all our plates were undercooked. I'm talking about one of us had a pizza with RAW dough. No apology from the server. The ambiance is NOT Italian and on the first night we went in, they were playing Led Zeppelin. It doesn't have to actually be Dean Martin or Frank Sinatra, but Led? Seriously? I'm sorry, LQ Bakingand Norma's, but you lost longtime customers and I predict your failure within the next few years.

SHORT ANSWER: Yes, Really enjoyed our visit here. We have gotten take out several times but today we took a table and had a nice time. Be aware the portions are humongous, maybe think sharing but there is a split plate fee. LOCATION: A large space in an upscale retail center, good parking most of the time. FACILITY: Super clean and traditionally equipped. MENU: A lot of items to chose from, FOOD PREP: All well done, not just food on a plate. FOOD QUALITY: Very good but for their traditional breakfast, nothing special, but it was fine... I know their pasties are exceptional. WAITSTAFF: Very nice and happy to see and seat us. OVERALL VALUE: A bit on the expensive side but that is normal for this location and most of the CV. TIP: Try and get there at an off hour, early for breakfast will be your best bet on having a good time before they get slammed.

Food was great here if you're willing to wait. We sat outside which was nice if the weather is good. The quiche Lorraine was excellent. Quite a long wait for the food but worth it if you're patient and willing to wait.

Great outdoor seating area, food was okay, their bread and jam are delicious but there wasn't anything special about the award winning frittata. Solid brunch spot in the desert

First time here! The breakfast croissant sandwiches were very fresh, savory, cheesy, crunchy, crispy, flavorful, and delicious. Also, the orange juice was refreshing, and sweet, the potatoes, were chewy, fluffy, and perfectly served with tangy ketchup, good service, nice atmosphere, and I had an excellent experience today.

We walked into this shiny gem and saw fresh croissants and deserts. We decided to try the Spinach frittata and croissant sandwich. Both were delicious. We loved the Brie in the frittata, the buttery croissant, and the fruit which was served ice cold. The service is kind and hospitable, the restaurant is spotless, and this cafe is a relaxing oasis in the desert. We can't wait to try the coffee and lunch! They serve breakfast and lunch all day.

Fries were hot and crispy. Delicious!

Went for breakfast today and ended up having lunch instead. We both had the Duet - me with their French onion soup and BLT-A and he had the tomato bisque and the chicken salad sandwich. We shared a side of fries - the best we've had in a while. The soups were solid and the sandwiches were flavorful. We sat outside by their fountain which was nice. Our servers were attentive and we were able to relax and not feel rushed. We will return.

The cake was amazing, it had some sort of coconutty filling that made it really moist, kind of like a tres leches cake. The toffee chocolate was my second favorite. The chocolate frosting was perfect and not too sweet. They also had some gluten-free and keto options. Service was great, and it looked like they put the cupcakes together on the spot, which took a few minutes to prepare. I'll definitely be back for the yummy coconut cupcakes.

We went in "just to look" (famous last words) and walked out with 3 cupcakes: vanilla bean, red velvet, and salted caramel toffee... plus a mocha tres leches parfait because self-control is seasonal and clearly out of stock!! Every single bite was the kind of good that makes you close your eyes mid-chew and ignore whoever's talking to you. But let's discuss the real star: the frosting!!! I was fully prepared for standard whipped cream or buttercream vibes, and instead got this cloud-like, silky situation that tasted rich but somehow light enough to justify eating an entire cupcake without emotional consequences. Tiffany herself let me in on the secret.... it's Italian meringue buttercream. So basically, classy buttercream that went to finishing school. Tiffany is also an absolute gem... warm, welcoming, and clearly passionate about what she's baking up. You can taste the love (and the butter, but mostly the love)!!! If you're in the desert and your sweet tooth starts whispering reckless ideas, listen to it. And definitely support this family-owned local spot. We'll be back for "research purposes" and to satisfy our sweet tooth!!

Ordered the New York style hot pastrami on rye with coleslaw and a Dr. Brown's Cream Soda. The pastrami was the highlight. Piled high, tender, and full of that classic deli flavor with just the right amount of richness. The rye bread held everything together well and had a nice bite to it. It's the kind of sandwich you have to take a second to look at before figuring out how to eat it. The coleslaw was fresh and crisp, a good balance to the sandwich, and the cream soda was cold and refreshing. Also ordered a slice of pistachio cake to go. Absolutely delicious. The place has that old school deli feel, busy but in a good way, and full of character. Service was friendly and efficient even with the crowd. Definitely a spot worth stopping at if you're in Palm Desert and want a proper deli sandwich.

Service was excellent. Seated immediately and ordering minutes later. Got extra cream cheese on request and our coffees were diligently refilled. The main attraction was the pastrami sandwich. Totally to my wife's taste, extremely lean and stacked high. She had to take half home. I tried an omelette with corned beef and loved it. The everything bagel was perfectly acceptable, not too "bready." So: service good, pastrami good, and bagel good. Everything good about a deli is covered.
