Been to this place probably 10 times now and the service and quality is always excellent. The mexican egg burrito and the bahn mi sandwich are my top 2 favorites for sure. I will say the portions are smaller than I would like but Im a big dude and I eat a lot lol and the quality makes it worth it imo. The homemade bars, brownies, cupcakes and such are my favorite part, specifically the Molly bar and the Azteca bar are insanely good and packed with nutritious ingredients. My husband and I are tough critics when it comes to food--especially with my dietary restrictions (gluten-free, dairy-free, nut allergy, and overall health-conscious lifestyle). It's not easy to impress us... but this place absolutely did. We had the breakfast burritos, and they were incredible--fresh, perfect portion, and made with such care. On top of that, we tried four different drinks, including the skinny smoothie, green juice, matcha latte, and golden pineapple sea moss--each one was delicious, clean, and genuinely nourishing. What really elevated the experience, though, was the staff. The team of young women working there were so kind, welcoming, and attentive--it made us feel right at home. Ordering at counter was cheerful. I tried the nori roll and it was better than I expected, I've been craving it since my visit. I'm not sure what smoothie drink I had but I did ask her for pineapple juice and whatever I got was perfect, it may have had mango in it too. They sell a small rack of product, like honey and t shirts, but nothing to overbear the dining space. We were hungry after going to The Living Desert and I needed something gluten and dairy free and this place fit the description. It was almost at closing time and when we got there only 1 other person was inside. There were a number of things for me to choose from, which was nice. I got a tuna salad and a smoothie. My food came out pretty quickly and my friend got avocado toast, which took a bit longer. There was nowhere to get any water inside, but my friend asked for some and got a super tiny cup of water. I hadn't visited Luscious Lorraine's in years so I was excited to visit again. It used to be one of my favorite spots to grab a quick bite in the area. Sadly, my visit this past Friday isn't quite how I remembered it to be. It's still located in the same strip mall with easy parking but now it's no longer located in the market. It's a dedicated restaurant with limited indoor and outdoor seating. The menu was still filled with wonderful healthy options for everyone. The problem occurred when we got to the counter to order. We were told there was a problem and hot food wasn't going to be available for 30 minutes. We were also told espressos were not available. Since we had our hearts set on eating there, we opted to wait. We ordered the Classic Avocado Toast, a "Bomb-Mi" sandwich and a latte. Our food was decently portioned. Fantastic! The food was great! I am a whole food plant base thriver from the Washington DC area. I was in Palms Springs attending a WFPB conference, when I stumbled across Luscious Lorraine's online. I ordered a bowl with pinto beans, rice, and veggies (broccoli, onions, etc.) and I asked for it to be extra spicey and so it was. Excellent choice! My husband had a vegan burrito that was yummy as well. Our friend ordered a bowl of some kind and loved every bit of it too! And, oh.....the dessert. The vegan brownies, sooooo delicious, I ordered two. And, I didn't taste it, but my friend ordered a chocolate coconut bar that was delicious too. It gets better. We ate at Luscious Lorraine's last weekend and it was amazing! My husband and I live in LA and were in Palm Desert for some fresh air during the LA fires when we discovered Luscious Lorraine's and it was just the food we were looking for! Every ingredient was so fresh and the food was made right before our eyes. The restaurant smelt so delicious! We had a variety of sandwiches including the Tuna sandwich and Turkey Chipotle and they were some of the best sandwiches we've had in a long time! It was also so sweet that the restaurant was offering complimentary juices to anyone that was in town because of the LA fires. We ended up ordering the Glow Up juice and it was fantastic! So thankful for your delicious food and amazing hospitality during a very stressful time. This place will forever be a staple to us every time we're in Palm Desert! read more

The drinks here are really good, but when the owner disciplines and shames their staff in front of a line of customers, there is not allot of respect for this establishment. The very busy cashier placed plastic cutlery with the to go order and said your "silverware is in the bag", Lorraine yelled out "thats not silverware" and rolled her eyes. After spending over $80 for lunch and drinks when my wife asked for chili flakes, she was given maybe 5 flakes in a small plastic container, she politely asked for a little bit more and was told by the owner to next time ask prior to closing the order because there will be a .25 cent additional fee. I am not sure what Lorraines profit margins are for her business, but if she can not accommodate a few chili flakes on a $80 order, she should really look at adjusting the already insanely high prices on her menu that look like they cover all costs. After coming down with a nasty virus, I wanted to start changing my diet and eating healthier. I love vegetables and fruit but found that my brutal work schedule often left me turning to convenient but less nutritious meals. Although the hours are limited, this restaurant offers a quick and convenient way to eat healthy. I tried the JLA sandwich which was exactly what my body was craving. I will say that the soup, which was a cauliflower and potato chowder was a three out of five stars. Service was excellent. It was served quick and I was out the door within 10 minutes. I would recommend coming here for a simple, fast, easy nutritious lunch or if you have dietary restrictions, such as being a vegan. I had the Bahn Mi with tofu and it was absolutely delicious. The French roll it's served on is perfectly toasted which gives the sandwich this really nice crunch. Each bite is refreshing and packed with flavor. The tofu was amazing and I've yet to see or taste any like it anywhere else. This place used to be my favorite but this is my 4th bad experience IN A ROW. Constantly messing up my order. Today I ordered a raw nori wrap with multigrain tortilla, added hummus, and tahini dressing. I get my order and it's the wrong dressing and no sunflower Pâté (which is why I order this wrap). Consistently the worst service I've ever experienced. They are so rude no matter how much you're spending or how flexible and kind you are while ordering and pickup. The wait times are pretty insane, as others have mentioned. One repeated problem is that they charge extra for veggies that have obviously gone bad. I've given them many second chances but the food, service, and prices continue to be terrible. I came to this place because they do not use seed oil & their food is really clean! I'm living out in the desert for the winter, and I would come here everyday but the service is too slow. They really should hire more people. On average it takes about 20 mins to get your food or smoothie. The place is severely under staffed! The street view of this establishment does the place no justice! Walking in everything is brand new and extremely welcoming. Went in for lunch and ordered the tofu Asian salad. Portion was decent, dressing was incredible! Had almonds and different types of greens and satisfying. My friend had the burrito which she added chicken to, chicken was pretty dry, but other than that the other ingredients were really fresh tasting. She also ordered a smoothie that was super sweet and tasty. Should have added the avocado but missed it. Next time. The sandwich is everything I hoped for and more. It is healthy but unique. Of perfect size. I can taste the artichokes and olives and tuna. It is not mayonaisey (I know that's not a word) at all. And I love it. The place is clean and modern. Not a lot of fuss. Sandwiches come wrapped in paper so minimal waste or clean up. Service is friendly. Prices are very reasonable. My sandwich was $7. Note: I would not come here if I was in a hurry. Everything is made fresh to order and this is not Subway. I waited 10 - 15 minutes for my sandwich and the place was about 50% full. Tip: Menu board is on a back wall, behind where you need to order. It is a little awkward as you walk up to the board to read (unless you have very young eyes) and then back to get in line. I would grab a to-go menu on the counter as you walk in and get directly in line. It's easier to read and you won't lose your place. We came in just minutes before closing and we're told we couldn't have a blended drink as it was too close to closing! After waiting over five minutes, while the cashier was on the phone, she told me it would be awhile because she was about to take a large phone order. I asked if someone else could help me. The reviews that talk about the wait time are unrealistic because any juicer knows, it takes a long time to make a juice! It's a small business so they can't staff 10 people at a time. Be patient and enjoy the food!! I LOVE the chicken wrap with extra salsa and no ranch. Today I also got an immunity booster juice. Currently on a 1 am to 1:30 pm shift for work and I honestly have a huge second wind because of the goodness I just put into my body. Went to Luscious Lorraine's for a bite to eat while in the Palm Springs area. I'm always excited to find healthy options and this place fit the bill. Not only can you order sandwiches, wraps, soups, juices, etc. you can also shop around in the store and pick up snacks and vitamin supplements etc. They do have a small amount of frozen items and produce as well. Prices are high when it comes to the health food store items - so I only bought what was unique. There is no point in buying what I can get at Sprouts or elsewhere for less. The had some samples on snack foods and I found I loved the Pop'd Kerns! They are delicious and if you see them - get them. The gummy bears were incredibly fresh and bright and delicious tasting, I would buy those again. The chickpeas in Cinnamon Toast flavor were disgusting. No one I let try them even liked them and we never did finish the bag (unfortunately, these weren't being sampled and I didn't find out how gross they were until I got home). As far as ordering food, customer service is ok - nothing amazing and nothing awful. The wait was a little long, but not incredibly long either - again ok. The sandwich was delicious - I ordered the Vegetarian Classic. Everything was fresh and went together well, I think I would have preferred my bread toasted. I'm not even sure if they toast bread as no one asked. It's not that the bread was stale, I just think the crust would have been tastier toasted. I find it interesting that they use veganaise on sandwiches with meat like chicken or even vegan cheese on a chicken sandwich.
