I don't get to Polaris Fashion Place often but when I do, I love to explore and see what type of shops they have. Recently, while grabbing up holiday gifts, I stumbled across this location of Lush and decided to stop in for some stocking stuffers. Everyone loves a good bath bomb, amiright?! The first thing I noticed was how friendly and helpful their staff is. I haven't visited a Lush in ages (I tend to go local first if I can), and I was very much out of the loop in terms of what they offer. After being steered in the right direction, I found something great for a friend and a relaxing bath bomb for myself. I also noticed how organized and cheery the place was. It also wasn't overly consumed by crazy scents. My nose did not go haywire upon walking in, like in some bath/body establishments. Get the Lemony Flutter cuticle butter. It's a freaking life-saver, especially in the winter months. Not only is it great for dry cuticles but I'll throw it on my elbows and the backs of my heels when they're feeling a bit rough. Try the fresh face masks too. They're such a treat. The staff here is always very kind and complimentary, it can be a bit overwhelming but that's what's expected of them and I can't knock a girl for doing her job as instructed. They're always too glad to demo a product and help you find something to suit your needs. Yes, it can get kind of pricy but there you can earn free face masks by bringing in empty Lush tubs. So the products here are all handmade and sometimes you will see who made your product like on the shimmery powder. It's not tested on animals of course for all who care about animal rights. The sales associate seemed like she loves the products here. They helped her dry skin become more moisturized. I also then got a second sales lady to help me see more of the products and what they do. I liked the massage bars the best because they help every area of your body. They have a bar just for foot care so you can feel better after that tough workout or work day. So a man was trying on the product one of the ladies was putting on his hands and they were like you must work hard with those hands. He's like no I just workout. Never guess what men do is my advice!! Ask for her and you're life will be better because if it. She gave us some amazing samples as well. Knowledge is power. She's got it and now I'm sold. I have sensitive skin and it sucks when I have acne, but my skin clears up in two days tops ( without irritation ) with the organic face masks. It leaves my skin feeling fresh, clean and smelling great. I also like their oil bars, I have used it to take makeup off, and it comes off quicker than makeup removing wipes. We stumbled into this store (rather, I dragged Jim inside) while strolling through Polaris mall because the store design looked cool and we were intrigued by "fresh handmade cosmetics." These products are made by hand with little or no preservatives from flowers, fruits, and vegetables...a natural indeed! We had no intentions on buying anything...but then came Andrea. She was incredibly helpful explaining many of the products in the store and was clearly passionate about the products. It's always great when the person trying to sell you stuff really knows the products because they use it themselves! What's even more wonderful is that we got to sample a bunch of products! Based on our needs, Andrea picked out a number of products for us to try. She even found something to fit my vague description of my skin "sensitive..but not that sensitive." Jim got a free salt scrub and massage on his hands (boy was I envious) and I tried a few facial masks (the display looks good enough to eat!) Most things in the store were a little pricy so I ended up buying just a couple items: - Mask of Magnaminty - holy smokes it made my pores visibly shrink! - Sandstone soap - you tell them how much you want and pay by the pound. I bought two big hunks for $11 (2 for 1 deal) - King of Skin - a solid body lotion that makes your skin feel so soft and smooth, great for after shaving! - Love Lettuce - exfoliating mask freshly made so it has to be refrigerated and has an expiration date for its use For a few of the items we didn't end up buying, we were provided samples to take home! First off, this location is more spacious that most. Yay! The layout had a natural flow to keep traffic from getting clumped up. The attendants are always super friendly without being overly sales person like. A client of mine suggested lush to me when she got some bath bombs for Christmas and Easter from her Mother n' Law. I took my 1 1/2 year old to an all day trip to the mall and if you've ever done that, you know how fast you want to get out the door when it's all said and done. I was out of my body wash and really wanted to check out what Lush had to offer after my client raving about their products she's tried. I went in hoping for the best with a cranky toddler. I picked up a few things that caught my eye and read into the ingredients and was excited to see some of the most amazing and nourishing oils as the main ingredients. I was approached by Bethany and she sat me down not phased by my daughter's attitude. She let me leave my stroller near the counter, sat me down with a bowl of water, and thoroughly explained the product I was holding along with a few others that went well along with it while letting me feel them on my hand. Needless to say, 3 hair products later, and some great samples.. I was excited to go home and try my new products. Between the awesome aroma and my excitement to go home and work on a hair repair treatment, I forgot all about the body wash I needed originally. I will be returning soon to replenish my Retread conditioner. My first experience with Lush was a few weeks ago when I was in Columbus for a convention. I bought a wobbler 93,000 miles for my sore muscles after running. The sales girl(sorry, don't remember her name) showed my Wiki muscles massage bar too, but I passed on it. I've enjoyed perusing the catalog the last few weeks, and enjoyed using my wobbler. Today I went to Lush again at Ross park Mall in PA and bought the WIki massage bar this time, and a mask, and a gift for my mother in law! I now blissfully smell like cinnamon with nice tight pores. I am a fan of Lush, especially their soaps and shower smoothies, however I find myself not going into the Polaris location as much anymore because of, and I hate to say this, the sales associates look sort of not very well groomed to me, and sort of dirty...Lots of piercings, hair color, makeup, gauges, etc which normally I don't mind, it just seems like Lush is a more simplistic, minimalist establishment, and I'm not sure these associates represent what the company is trying to convey. I have been to the Easton store on a few occasions and I do think they come across as more professional. read more
