I've been on many DIY hair journeys and all of the best ones have only ever been successful because of the incredibly talented, knowledgeable, and patient people working at this specific Sally Beauty. The location is clean, well-stocked, and well-lit but truly the best part is the staff. I'm not big on doing my own beauty stuff, nails, hair, etc., etc. That said, there sometimes comes a time when you just gotta do what you gotta do... and that time arrived last week when I needed to give myself a pedicure. I was out of gel polish remover and needed it pronto so I came by here to pick some up. The store was very clean and organized and I was able to track down what I was looking for easily. The person at the counter answered my questions and checked me out in a breeze. Before you knew it was at home getting the job done. The remover I got was around $10 and worked really well. I would definitely come back here the next time I need some beauty items. read more

Sally Beauty is located in the Lennox Plaza between Old Navy and Barnes & Noble. Plenty of parking in the shared plaza lot, though it can be difficult getting out to the light to turn onto Olentangy River Road during busy traffic times. I was looking for a specific shampoo and conditioner and remembered Sally Beauty. I have shopped here a few times and thought I would see what options they had. It was a very easy trip and after speaking with the two employees I made a selection and headed to the checkout. I don't shop here often, but there is just something about this store and the experience. It's always been just "ok" and I don't get good vibes sometimes. It's almost a subtle condescending approach and not very inviting. This is just my opinion based on maybe three different visits over just as many years so probably just me. In line with Fe's post, I also had a terrible experience here at this location on Saturday, July 5 and it was very similar. Since Fe's post notes that they felt they were being racially profiled (and I'm so sorry to hear that) and that they are African-American, I will note that I'm a 50-year-old white woman. The store looked great. I would've loved to have looked around, but I felt like I was being harassed by two people who could easily be described as the same Two people Fe's post described. It is especially interesting because I happened to walk in with two other people at the same time, but have never seen these two people in my life. One person asked me if I needed help I said no thank you I'm just here to get some toner and developer and then the other one quickly approached me and showed me where the product was which is fine but then I get up to the counter and she proceeds to ask me if the other two people I was with we're going to be needing anything. I quickly informed her that I was not with those two people. She did not apologize for the confusion. She then proceeded to try too hard sell me gloves a bottle a mixing bowl of brush in an aggressive and high-pitched tone again. The store looks fantastic. I would've loved to have browse for a few, but I was not left alone for three seconds During my visit if this is the way Fe was treated and I suspect it was management needs to do something about this. I understand that there are a lot of good reviews but some people just wanna come in and get what they need and leave or might wanna look around for a minute without being harassed, who knows how much more I could've walked out of there with how I had a chance to look at all the cool stuff (after paying of course). read more

So I just learned that this location is a Concept Store. And let me tell you the layout is Flipping Amazing!!!! Listen if you have been to an old Sallys store, you know most of the locations are small, cramped, and jam packed! This location is spacious, artistic, and the shelves are shorter! The service was great! Although, they didn't carry a particular product that I needed, they were able to refer me to another store that did! read more

I felt like I was being racially profiled, I came to the store at or about 6:45 ish and I was chatting with a young lady when glasses, we discussed nails and random hair care products. I asked questions and she politely answered my questions. a yoing girl came out with red hair and immediately was taking inventory right now to me. I literally bent down and placed products in my kart and i swear her private area was that close. It was just very rude and she was all in my kart. I just felt like I was being followed because she was surronding me the entire time and when I came to the resigter to purchase. She was there taking the next client. I am not sure what training she recieved, but it is very impolite to follow your African American customers. I feel so bad and I feel like I will not be giving another Sally's my hard earned money. Train your employees better. Not every African American client steals. We work for a living. She was a red hair, with baggy clothes and multiple ear piercings. Looked of Mexican decent. read more

I had an amazing experience. Trinity did and amazing job and asking me questions and following what I wanted done with my hair to a tee. She did and amazing dye job. even tho we had some complications with the dye we were able to fix it. it came out amazing!!! I am definitely booking with her again! read more

Came here on Friday night. Wanting to dye my hair. Wow was i so impressed with the face lift!!! Holy moly. The new store design left me shook. It's been a couple years since i haven been to a Sally's. Great experience coming back!! The customer service was great!! I was greeted by 3 different people within 10min kind of funny. But they were all so nice. I hung around checking the store out and seeing all the new product. Are you doing this to all stores?? Because you should and then train all your people to be like these guys that work at this location!! What seemingly can be an overwhelming experience wasn't. I ended up leaving with all the tools and color that I needed. Thanks team for being so positive and eager to help!!!!! read more

Very helpful people with kind energy!! I foolishly didn't catch the first name of the person helping me check out but their surname starts with R (I remember it but don't want to dox anyone lol). They answered my questions, gave product suggestions, and were very good about making personal connections with me about what I was getting. It was super cool to meet someone who seems like they genuinely like what they do and they're good at it!! Not to mention they pointed out a discount I could apply!! Thanks again for your help!! I visit Sally Beauty about once per year when I need a very particular product that I simply cannot find anywhere else. This time I was on the hunt for a nice spray bottle to add to my haircare toolkit. This location is relatively new (at least compared to other Sally Beauty locations in Columbus). The last time I was in the store it was a locally owned beauty supply store. When that company went out of business, Sally swooped in and claimed the vacant storefront. When I walked in I was immediately impressed with the space. It is sleek, modern, and incredibly organized. Unlike any other Sally Beauty location I have ever visited. I was also immediately greeted by a friendly and warm associate. I told her what I was looking for and she kindly guided me to the right section. She even showed me the different options available instead of just walking away, leaving me to figure it out on my own. I was in and out in less than five minutes, but this visit was very memorable. The space and service were fantastic. I know I don't frequent Sally Beauty often, but I know for sure that this is will be my go-to location from here on out. Highly recommend. read more
