My new favorite salon of all time! I have been to Lush twice and had wonderful experiences both times. My first pedicure with them was amazing, so clean! They put plastic over each sink and then pour the water in, that way its 100% clean for each client. They even have these little cuticle oil beads that are indiviual for each customer. I cant rave enough how clean they are. Today I had gel manicure with Jenny, who is so amazing. She nailed my manicure just how i love it and no one else has done that for me in very long time. I think they charge way too much for what you are getting. Also my tips on my nails were cut to a long length but the girl filed them down by more than half to super short. I do think she was in a rush to be somewhere but Idk whatever the case may be I feel like I wasted money. My toes took so long to do for a regular gel pedi just had to take off my old gel polish and redo... but egh idk. I think my dog could have painted better.... was my third time here and the first 2 times my nails were decent, but this third time was a wreck. UPDATE: Another great manicure. Got acrylic full set with SNS #106. May did in INCREDIBLE job to make sure it was perfect. Always a pleasant experience visiting this salon. Nails are done meticulously and precisely how I want them to come out. Staff is also friendly and tries to seat you ASAP. ‼‼BAD MANNERS‼‼ YOUR STUFF MIGHT GET RUINED‼‼‼ I decided to come here being that this place had the best rating out of the salons on francis lewis blvd. Was extremely disappointed with the experience. I came in for gel manicure. The lady who did my nails was so bad at cutting my cuticles that i had to guide her. Besides that, the nails came out great. We had a pleasant conversation between us but she also would speak in chinese to her coworkers and laugh. My back has been causing me pain so i asked if i can get a 10 min massage and she said yes, after the manicure. When the manicure was finished, she then went to grab some things and came up behind me and immediately started massaging me and set a timer. I thought we were going to go into another room or at least be put on a massage chair but she just started massaging me in the same chair I got my nails done. She was using massage oil and she went under my cropped T- shirt. I thought because she just immediately started doing it and went right into it as if she's done it 100 times that she must know what she's doing. No preface to how she would do it or any warning. I was concerned about the oil getting on my shirt but i thought bc she didnt even ask me about my shirt and was massaging me so confidently that the oil she was using must be fabric friendly or something. So she continued to give me a massage in the main area with other customers around me, using all these big movements under my shirt. The massage was fine. But when it was over and i went into the bathroom and looked in the mirror, my shirt was beyond messed up. There were so many oil spots and streaks. On top of that, the neckline of my shirt was absolutely ruined because she stretched it out when she was doing those big movements around my neck. As a woman giving another a woman a massage wouldn't you be concerned about not damaging her belongings!!?? She continued to give me the massage despite seeing that the oil was staining my shirt and the shirt's neckline was being stretched out. Mind you, this is one of my favorite shirts bc it's so casual and I wear it all the time. A staple. I was absolutely horrified at how my shirt looks in the mirror. So when I come out of the bathroom to pay and tip, I decided to tip less than i normally do when i get my nails done, due to the inconsideration of my shirt (i tipped her 20%, i usually tip 25%, which is still a lot imho!!) and i very very politely and gently expressed to her (still with a smile on my face) that I liked how my nails came out but am a little upset bc if the way my shirt got damaged. The lady didn't speak the best english so another employee (im guessing the boss) stepped in and very rudely and aggressively snapped at me that i shouldnt have worn that shirt and when people come in for massages they wear tanktops. I said i thought we were going to go in one of the back rooms and my top would be off and she said that thats only for 30 min massages. Basically saying it was my fault my shirt got ruined. Took zero responsibility. She also said all this in front of everyone in the salon loud and clear. No apology or any remorse for my ruined shirt. Just plain rude. Do not go here. I had to walk out and run the rest of my errands looking like a complete mess. Spent the rest of my day trying to gets the oil spots out. And they're still there!! read more

I called super late (7pm) and they were able to take me in for a pedicure even though they closed at 8pm. The atmosphere in the nail salon was very cute and well maintained. Both ladies who were working there were very friendly and sweet. The pedicure was fabulous. It wasn't rushed and she took her time to do the pedicure right. She also offered me a 10 minute massage despite the closing time. Personally, I recently moved to this area and I am having a very hard time finding a new place for my nails, especially when summer is coming. I am very particular when it comes to getting my nails done and how they are done to ensure I am getting quality work for my money. Called ahead for a mani/pedi day of and waited about 10 minutes until I was seated. It costs $28 for mani/pedi. They did offer a spa pedicure which was $28 in itself but I opted for a regular one. They use a plastic liner in the sink and do clean it after I was done. There were 3 ladies working and since I was only there at one point another one helped with my gel removal while the other did the pedi. She did a thorough job with the pedi and the paint job was pretty neat. When I went over to the manicure station, about 4 people came in. The lady was halfway through my manicure and she already knew what design I wanted but told me to wait until the other lady was done with her person. It was a little inconvenient but they basically switched between people and felt a little bit rushed. I think the manicure could have been neater but from afar it looks ok. I'm used to having one manicurist throughout and being that an apt was made I figured it had more priority than walk ins but I was wrong. read more

I have always driven past thinking someday I would give it a try, from the outside it looks cute inside but once I came in I felt it was a bit dingy and the pedicure chairs are super uncomfortable (a bench seat with a pillow. Today was not the first time that I have not received quality treatment for my nails but it is definitely the last time this salon will be getting money. Today I was with a very nice nail tech, but her client came in and was extremely rude, because she came on time and her nail technician was working on my nails, the nail technician had to rush through my nails and another girl had to finish my nails. It's disheartening to pay so much money and never get your moneys worth, as this has happened to me many times at lush but it's close by, but today it ends. I also had an appointment and the lady needs to be patient, life happens, the lady kept making nosies in the back and was even rude to the nail tech. On top of it, just like any other person, you want your nail polish smooth without blemishes or lines .. and i thought the lady technician who was doing my cat eye would notice the lump of gel that was on my thumb. the lump is literally on the cat eye. I've had this place bookmarked for a while and was looking forward to trying it.. I wish I never did! Less than 24 hours later my SNS powder manicure is cracked and chipped on 4 nails! I was told this would last as long as gel or acrylic.. Didn't even last as long as regular polish! To make matters worse the girl doing my pedicure was so rough. She scraped my heel and the soft skin on the side of my foot so hard that she broke skin. It's still burning right now. $90 down the drain plus pain! Very clean (which is the only reason I gave 2 stars) and the staff was very nice. Angel did my nails and I asked for a powder gel manicure and requested a light, sheer pink color. The shade she chose was perfect and so were my nails the first few days. Then I started to notice the gel lifting from my nails. Then the corners started to chip off. This was all just about a week after I got them done. A WEEK! My last salon's powder gel would last me 3 weeks without any lifting or chipping. This was a cute salon that happened to be open a little on the late side for a Saturday night. It was way smaller than I expected. I got a manicure-pedicure. I was started with a manicure which was alright I've had better, and then they did my pedicure. There are no massage chairs which sucks to me, I like to utilize them during my pedicure to have that spa like experience. With that being said this establishment wasn't spa like to me at all. Experienced my first real mani and pedi at this salon. I dropped by w/o an appointment on a Friday afternoon and was promptly taken. Started off with a pedicure which took about 20-30 minutes. It was very relaxing and my technician was very thorough. She also did a great job with the manicure. The color I brought in is a bit difficult to work with and if not done right it can leave streaks. She did a great job keeping the edges clean and no streaks. I'm at day 6 and still no chips.
