Literally came here last minute as nothing else was open. The First Lady who started my nails tried to talk me out of getting a full set AND THEN RUSHED Out 10 minutes later. I explained that I had my own stones I wanted to add, they STILL Were trying to charge me $1 per stone for MY OWN STONES!!! I was told my set was $80 for a basic powder tip set that wasn't even that long. The lady who did my nails called the lady who rushed home and then she told me $70. Nails were just OK . This review is not about the technicians, they were great. It's about the owner of the salon. Tonight's experience reminded me of why I stopped coming here shortly after she took over. This is not the first time I've dealt with her dismissive and unprofessional demeanor. After getting a gel manicure and regular pedicure, I noticed my gel nails weren't as shiny as they should have been. The technician who did my nails (and was very kind) had already left by the time I realized the issue. I addressed my concern with the owner, explaining that my nails didn't look shiny and asking if she could help figure out why. Instead of offering a solution with grace, she seemed annoyed and dismissive, insisting they were shiny and that it was probably just how I was looking at them. After some back-and-forth, she finally addressed the issue, and my nails ended up looking shinier, proving my concern was valid. I even tried to make conversation, asking why this might have happened, but she remained cold and dismissive, leaving me frustrated. I respect the hard work of those in the service industry, and I always make sure to tip well because I know I don't have the skills to do this work myself. But whether I'm spending $5 or $100 (as I did tonight for a basic manicure and pedicure), I believe every paying customer has the right to ask questions and expect their concerns to be taken seriously. I live in the Bronx and every person I went to get a pedicure from was never like the experience I've had here. Christy did her big one. I went to her a year ago and no one can ever take out my ingrown like she has. I even went to the foot doctor a week ago and he said he removed them. I've come here twice for a mani pedi. Here is what I like about the establishment or notable highlights. They are opened very late. The current business hours are 10AM-11PM. So if you're like me who doesn't like a crowd when at the nail salon this is the place for you. Both times I've gotten services were after 8PM. My coworker recommended me this place, to get my nails done with Lulu. I made an appointment staff was very nice and place was clean. I had acrylic nails that needed to be removed, Lulu did a great job and took her time doing my nails. I choose a hot pink color she was very detailing about everything. What I didn't like its that she never asked me for a shape and decided to do her own shape that it was too late to even changed. Found this nail salon here on Yelp! It was super easy to make a reservation on Yelp - very responsive. It's located in a residential area. Not hard to find street parking. Amazing prices - $10 for a manicure, $18 for a pedicure (they also offer massages, gel, scrubs, etc.). Came here on a Saturday at 11am and it started to become more packed around noon. Got a regular pedicure. They wash your feet, cut your nails, scrub away all your calluses (was so happy about this park), fix your cuticles, exfoliate your legs, and give you hot stones. They also provide disposable flip flops if you happen to forget yours. They also give you a quick back massage when they bring you over to the table where you wait for your legs to dry. It was a great, relaxing treat and my wallet didn't hurt too much after, which really made it even better. They're also open late hours, for those who want to go after work. First of all to the poor young woman that had to give me a pedi while my wife got her mani / pedi done. I'm sorry for what you had to experience. It's probably been 20 years since I had one. I know when you got up that day you had no idea what was in store for you or else you would have looked at the alarm clock, called in and rolled over and gone back to bed. What you saw can never be unseen. Heck some things I saw that day are gonna take therapy. Lol ok it wasn't THAT bad for her, although there was a rather large amount of detritus during the whole sanding-of-the-callous portion. Have you ever seen a snow drift created from filed skin flakes? How about a pasta noodle of sanded skin? Ok those things may or may not have been observed during my pedi. So, what was it like for me? Pure heaven. Massage chair going, my feet caressed, calves cajoled and rubbed, lower legs rinsed, bathed, lathered, pampered. It was delicious. I don't like people prodding my toes with pedi tools, but this one was professionally done and not painful or bothersome at all. Finally a hot-rock treatment and I was relaxed and recharged. I even got a "service massage" which was a 5 min free neck and back massage while I waited for my sweetie to get finished. This place is amazing. I learned of it by the recommendation of my orthopaedic surgeon's assistant who said they give the best massage's here. So I took my husband on a Friday night. While he luxuriated in a massage chair, i got an amazing pedicure that lasted an hour. As soon as we sat down, they put heat wraps around our shoulders. Near the end of my pedicure, he too a ten minute massage which was wonderful for him. The pedicures here are amazing and detailed, What don't they do? They give you a good cleaning in a bath that has a liner they change for each customer, they give an amazing leg and foot massage. They scrubbed my legs and feet and ended with a paraffin treatment. I'm even missing a few things because I don't know all of the names of the things they did. What I do know, is that I felt wonderful when they finished, wonderful on the way to sleep, and my feet felt soft and baby like for the first time in a long long time! Very very welcoming staff. I moved to Whitestone in November, and instead of looking for places to eat, i found New Heart Nails. I really like everyone here. They're professional and have an abundant amount of colors and gel colors. The manager, Michelle, is a sweetheart and remembers everyone's faces. I also hate calling and prefer messaging over Yelp and she always responds right away. Parking is easy over there too and i don't have to pay meters. $25 for a gel manicure and $18 for a pedicure. I loooove their pedicures. They scrub and massage longer than other places, and i love the hot wax and stones they use on your feet. They also have a loyalty stamp card. Went for a "lavender" package pedicure spa yesterday. The inside was immaculately clean, the staff very friendly (the owner came over and introduced herself and asked if everything was ok) and most importantly my feet look and feel great. The treatment consisted of nail and cuticle care, leg and foot scrubbing, followed by moisturizer, a massage to legs and feet finishing off with a hot stone rub. A full hour of pure relaxation for only $50 and well worth it. I deducted one star because the ceiling lighting is excessively bright and harsh and doesn't allow a person sitting in the special pedicure chairs to fully relax. There were 3 women getting manicures while I was there and each seemed very pleased upon leaving. I would definitely recommend you give this establishment a try; I will be back! read more

I think I've found my regular nail salon! This place is not where you should go if you want fast service but it's a MUST if you wan't clean, thorough and incredible service. I got my manicure (shellac) and regular spa pedicure for $43. Manicure: two of my nails broke and they fixed them for me with silk with no problem. Th nails looked good as new and I don't even think they charged me for it. They did a great job with the shellac manicure ($25). While my nails were drying the manicurist gave me a really long neck and upper back massage. I could feel her trying to work out the knots in my back and shoulder. She told me I have a lot of tension...haha Pedicure: I know this place is clean when I saw them clean the pedicure chair and tub after every customer. They also line the tub with a clean plastic liner after every customer. They give you warm therapeutic shoulder wrap and tell you to sleep and enjoy the experience haha. The regular spa pedicure ($18) comes with a long leg and fit message, hot stone rolled on your legs and feet, and paraffin wrapped around your heels. I even got a second back message as my pedicure was drying. The whole experience was almost 2 hours! So worth it though! Tip: Don't forget your membership card! My husband works a couple blocks away so I decided to give this salon a try while I waited to have lunch with him. I must say the other reviews do NOT lie. I got the Little Vacation Spa Pedicure which came with a 20 min massage (10 min back, 10 min feet), callus remover, aromatheropy scrub, and a manicure. I don't know where to start! The foot massage was seriously heaven. It wasn't your run of the mill lazy foot rub that most salons give. Nope. Along with lotion and the perfect amount of pressure they also use a hot stone. That was a nice surprise. The foot that isn't being massaged gets covered with a nice hot towel in the meantime. During my pedicure, which came out super neat by the way, Sue gave me a sort of heated pillow to put on my shoulders and some scented oil for my arm. SO RELAXING. On to my manicure. She clipped my nails down and filed them perfectly. I let her know that I'm super sensitive and she was very gentle. I'm pregnant and she constantly checked in with me to make sure that i didn't need a pillow for my back or anything to make me more comfortable which was very sweet. After she finished my nails she cleaned it up nicely and made sure they were perfect before I started drying. My back massage was also wonderful. Again the pressure was perfect and they used a heated something (felt similar to a warm towel) that really helped me relax. This salon is clean, the staff is very friendly, and the service is wonderful. The ladies greeted me as soon as I walked in and asked me to pick my color. Erica did my pedicure and spent about an hour on them making sure everything was perfect. I had the spa pedicure since callus removal alone was an additional $10, so it made sense. The spa pedicure came with the callus removal and a 10 min massage. They also used hot stones on my legs. I came here for the first time today based on such good reviews from Yelp. It's a mixed bag. Yes they are very friendly. But as is the case with most nail salons, they don't respect your time. In an effort to accommodate walk-ins etc, they shuffle staff around so the one who starts you doesn't finish etc. they never told one person there was a wait. They told everyone to come. My second issue was I did not see an autoclave for sterilizing instruments. They just have a cold soak disinfectant. That doesn't mean they don't have it, but I didnt see any instruments in bags or coming out of an autoclave. And I was looking. The table where my nails were being done was very dusty and messy. On the upside, the massage guy was awesome. And because of the staff issue, he ended up doing my pedicure. So the foot massage was worth it. So great. I'm not sure if I will come back again because of the cleanliness issue. But I might give it one more try. read more

This is my favorite place for a pedi!! I've been coming here for about 3 years now and I don't think I'd go anywhere else!! This is a very clean and hygienic place, no need to worry about cross contamination of anything!! They sterilize all of their tools and they use disposable liners for the foot tubs. I don't know about you, but that makes me feel at ease! Everyone speaks English and they understand what you want. If you look unhappy they will do whatever they can to out a smile on your face!! I don't get manicures, it's a waste of $$ for me because I'm hard on my hands! So I can't rate them there. Waxing is great! No complaints there. Very comfortable setting.
