Gold has been my go-to salon for the last 3 years. While I've gotten pedicures here before-- and they've been great, no complaints-- I typically only get acrylic sets with Lisa and she ALWAYS does an amazing job! Over the years I've come to her with different design ideas and she has always done them with ease, or she'd propose different ideas and we'd brainstorm and collaborate together to really get the set of nails I want. Today I went into my appointment with an image of white marble nails, unsure if she'd be able to do it, and she continued to do a fabulous job. Watching her do this set made me realize I haven't had a chance to rave about her service yet! I've been to the salon while it was busy-- sometimes you have to wait a few more mins even if you have an appointment-- but that's going to happen at any nail salon you go to. Today was a very slow Wednesday afternoon and my experience was just as good as usual. I cannot recommend Lisa and Gold Nails for acrylic sets enough! read more

Just got a pedicure and its the worst pedicure I've ever gotten in terms of the way it looks. You can tell their nail polish is old because its very clumpy when they started to paint my nails and she tried to fix it with the top coat but overall, very low quality. I would have rather paid an extra 5-10 more dollars elsewhere to get a better quality pedicure. Sadly, I could have done a better job at home and I really wish i did!! Furthermore, there is nail polish on my skin *eye roll* That is such an amateur move. She could have at least cleaned it up... Also the soap they use for the pedicure it literally palmolive dish soap, which is very drying on the skin. I dont recommend going here for pedis!! read more

Did not enjoy experience. Quality definitely worsened over the years. Went back after a while and left unhappy with mani&pedicure. charged me almost 80$ for mani pedi but I got GEL pedicure which usually lasts me around 1month, and it only lasted me a week. i feel as though only one person there knows how to really do nails so if you don't get her you're screwed. the lady i got this time couldn't do simple french nails. she kept making one line thicker, curvier or more slanted than the next. Just finished up my simple $20 mani/pedi and the colors came out nicely. I enjoyed the relaxing chair massage, and the classic spa chairs while the pedicure was done first. The color I picker was a beautiful bright pink color that's perfect for the summer! I picked a lighter pink color for my hands. The lady was fairly professional, only thing would've been if the filing could have been a little more gentle as it was a bit rough. Additionally, the nice hand, feet and short shoulder massage at the end was a nice touch but it was all very too light. Overall, it's not too bad of a place given the affordable cost of the manicure/pedicure. There are also gel and other options at higher prices. I'd say it's worth the occasional treat or for those special occasions, it's definitely nice to get my nails done. read more

We came without an appointment and was greeted by a woman who seemed annoyed that we didn't have an appointment. She told us without appointment for a mani Pedi is an hour wait. Her regular customers came and she greeted them with familiarity. But she didn't acknowledge us otherwise while we waited. Not even to tell us, while she happily greeted her other customers, how much longer we might have to wait. Honestly we felt like an unwanted nuisance, and no paying customer should be treated like that. If she didn't want to service us, she should have told us that from the beginning. After siting there for about 45 minutes, unsure of when we'd even be seen, we left. If you're a new customer, and don't want to be treated like an unwanted nuisance, then don't come here. If you're a recurring customer - good for you. We left without being serviced and will definitely never return. Second gel mani that I've gotten here- lasted all of 4 days. Went back to get it fixed on the 5th day and the lady painted right over the chipped polish which peeled off the following morning. I used to go this nail salon for 2 years and more. However I stopped because I felt like they charge high prices for sloppy work. Usually if they are busy, only the owner can do acrylic nails so she would rush to finish my nails so she can accommodate the other customers waiting in line to get their nails done. There has been many times where she doesn't paint my nail completely and some of the acrylic color would be visible. Also times where the nail lengths are not as even as possible which bothered me because one finger nail would look longer on one hand. For example: my right thumb used to look shorter than my left thumb because she didn't cut down the acrylic fake nail to the same length. For the sloppy work I usually had to pay around $55-60 because of gel color on top of the acrylic. read more

*UPDATE* I'm removing a star because after today, I'm not sure if I trust all the workers to actually do my nails. Came in today to do SNS because I love their SNS and their big selection. However, I usually get them done by the same person because I had assumed she was the only person who could do them. But today was a different day. I had someone else do my nails today and I was not satisfied. I was cut a few times with the nail drill by the lady who did my nails today. She was super messy about the powder which was really upset because their price is cheap for it but I left that place with my nails looking as if I did them myself. It was messy with powder still around my fingers. I brought it up to the lady and she kept insisting that it will come off when I wash my hands, but it shouldn't be my job to get off gel when I'm literally paying for it to be done outside. Throughout the whole day, I kept staring at my nails looking at the mess, that I was not pleased with and this was just super upsetting because I had started coming here more often because I liked their selection and they never really messed up... but today was something else ----------- Came here a few times, but recently tried the SNS powder with tips which was $40. Price is pretty good and it's actually cheaper than most places. Color gel is $20 and they've charged me $28 for gel pedicure which is included with the gel removal. They also finally updated their price chart, didn't get to take a picture though. I'm pretty satisfied with the outcome, the color is great and the nail length is good. The only thing is that the guy doing my pedicure didn't put an even layer of gel and he did hurt my feet here and there. I've been to this salon about 3 times now. I do notice that the selection of colors is not as vast as other salons. Here they offer Esse and OPI colors. The prices have gone up in recent years. The pedicure/manicure standard price is $17 on the weekday with $5 extra charge if you want a french manicure done. I had a french manicure done and I wasn't thrilled with the results after. One of the business owners did my manicure and pedicure. I was fine with the results of the pedicure. They turned the massage chair on and it ran for about 25 minutes. The water was too hot when I submerged my feet in (it was a rainy day) but they added cold water and it was fine. I noticed the green scrub they put on your legs is just a quick application and rinse off mostly... the paint job was great on the toes... but a different story when it got to the nails. The French part of the manicure was just a coat of white along the edge which did not have an upper sheer coat. It made the manicure look cheap... and I immediately regretted paying the extra $5 for it. The guy messed up twice and had to redo one nail...I guess he was rushing to finish even though there was no one next. It was a rainy day and I was getting my nails done for a wedding. On the plus side, they added quick drying solution free of charge when my nails did not dry. Still, I have my reservations about going back. This review is really about 2.5 stars (there were no half stars so I had to round up). If you find the quality to be acceptable and would like to be a returning customer, they have a stamp card grid on the back of their business card so be sure to pick one up. read more

I only get my nails professionally done about twice a year, but I'm a bit on the picky side and I like what I like. I walked in to the salon at about 5:30pm today (on a Tuesday) without high expectations, but left pretty happy and relaxed. I was sent to the pedicure chair right away and picked out my gel color as my feet were being pampered. I decided on a gel manicure and regular pedicure with a perfectly matching color ($20 for gel and $12 for pedi = $32). The woman who did both my feet and my hands, I believe her name is Candy, made sure I was comfortable and approved of everything she did, asking me every so often if it was good. Unlike another reviewer mentioned, I was given multiple massages throughout my time there-- feet, leg, hand, back/neck. Good stuff! The salon is clean, quiet, and the workers are efficient and friendly. Not much side talking going on like in other nail salons. There's metered parking right out front, but if you turn the corner you can more than likely snag a spot on one of the many residential blocks. read more

I go there because is near my house but I hate it, I asked the lady to do it a bit longer and she said it was 5 more dollars after that I asked her to do a line in my nails that was 8 more dollars plus I asked her to put a little diamond and she charges 2 extra dollars for each diamond you do and the last one is that I tried to put one nail black one pink and the rest gold and she said they do not do more than 2 colors. In total I paid 40 dollars for something I didn't even like for sure will not go back. The lady there is really rude every time I go and tell her what color I want she don't like it or she will say that color is not for me without me asking for her opinion. I would have given this place a 5. Let me explain why... Earlier this place was called Pink, not Gold. And the owner was Angie. She was very sweet and would always do a great job. She would also ask how my mom is when she wouldn't come with me. They would do free paraffin and they did callus removers pretty cheap. Suddenly my mom and I went and everything was changed. Angie wasn't there anymore and the whole place was renovated. Their prices seemed higher and they didn't offer the free services that they used to anymore. The ladies who work here are rude and will clearly show that they are making jokes on you. I came here because I saw the pictures and thought they'd do a good job. Eh. I said I wanted a gel manicure and a regular pedicure. For some reason this was confusing because I had to explain it about three times throughout my time here. Since I did my toes first, I chose a gel color for my hands and asked for them to match it. I'm pretty sure they were laughing at me, thinking I asked for gel but got regular nail polish on my toes? Maybe thinking I was confused with what I wanted? But anyway. The man doing my nails was super patient and tried to be precise when painting my nails, which I appreciated, but he was super rough with taking off my cuticles and cut me twice.
