I went to this salon about 1-2 months ago for a gel French tip on my toes and everything looked fine. I went back today for the same service, and the gel would not adhere to my left big toe. When I asked why the nail looked so bad, the technician told me I needed to see a doctor. That was alarming. If a tech suspects infection, they should not continue the service. Instead, she kept working. The skin around the nail is now red, crusted, painful, and the nail is discolored. These problems commonly happen when: * The cuticle is cut or pushed back too aggressively * Tools are not disinfected between clients * Nail clippers and cuticle nippers are not properly sterilized * Foot files, buffers, or pumice stones are reused, which traps bacteria and fungus * The pedicure tubs are not fully disinfected or the liners are reused * Implements are left out in unclean areas where contaminants spread I also noticed visible mold or mildew buildup underneath the pedicure bowls. That alone is a major health code violation. It suggests surfaces and water systems are not being properly cleaned or disinfected, increasing the risk of cross-contamination. I am now having to seek medical care for a possible bacterial infection in my toe, which is extremely frustrating because it is preventable with proper hygiene standards. I will be filing a report with the health department based on what I experienced and what I saw. I usually never wear square shape nails, but she made my first experience perfect. the base color and french tip was perfect!! took about hour and half which was not long considering she painted each nail (french tip) beautifully. there were so many gems and cute 3D add ons to choose from! this set was about 125, and i tipped because she deserved it. I've been here maybe 4 times now, and I really want to love it. It's a clean, new space that's beautifully decorated in a great location by Costco. They also have a nice pedicure menu and drink menu (you can even order Vietnamese tea and coffee, along with pretty much a full bar). The downside for me is that the quality just isn't there in terms of nail services. Usually, the services have felt rushed and just not super relaxing. The end product isn't what I typically get at my other salons around here, either. I keep hoping maybe I just need to find the right nail technician, but I probably will just keep going back to my standard spots, which are less fancy, but offer a better overall experience. read more

Don't use their waxing service!!! I'm in so much pain after this experience. I went in yesterday and had my nails filled (mediocre at best) then asked to have my lip waxed. I'd had my lip waxed here once before and didn't have any problems-normal redness afterwards but this time, the tech was so rough and ripped my skin. I told her it was very painful and after waxing she didn't even offer to put anything on my lip. I had to ask for something and she finally offered some aloe vera gel. I have been going here every 3 weeks for about a year now and it is my favorite place to get a pedicure in the area. I usually see PQ if she is available but have gone to see others when she is not in. Everyone is always super nice and my nails always hold up well between visits. Today was my daughter's 8'th birthday and she asked for flowers on her fingernails and bunnies on her toes and both came out adorable. Been going here since the week they opened. I have seen some up and down days but overall the staff cares. Seems they still get overwhelmed and timing can be an issue - I believe they just want to make everyone happy and mis judge the time so unfortunately there has been long wait times. That's is very frustrating for the customer. I agree they need to figure that out. Yesterday they got a rush of customers and called 2 people in to help At 4pm on a Sunday of a Holiday weekend!! This review has 2-stars because the acting manager (a lady) messed this visit completely up for me. So much for customer service. Sorry for any type-o's because I'm typing very fast. I needed my nails and feet done to day to pamper myself for Mother's Day. I had a busy morning taking my "commuter car" to the shop and my last stop was Costco. I spotted this place with a "now open" sign in front so I decided to try my luck and whipped in. When I entered there was a young lady at the front desk who greeted me. She was very nice and professional. I told her I needed a pedicure and my nails done. She looked at her screen and had me hold a moment while she consulted with the manager. The manager told me "We can do your nails first then your pedicure after because we don't have a technician do a pedicure right now." I agreed. The front desk lady who greeted me ask what pedi I would like. I chose the pedi service after she answered a couple of questions for me. I waited at the bar for a moment where I was offered a beverage by the young lady who greeted me. I opted for water since I was driving. They serve complimentary alcohol. A gentleman took on the task of providing nail services. His name was Hero. He was a pleasant man but not overly friendly. I had a lot of questions and but he wasn't very engaging. He talked mostly to T sho was sitting next to him working. He was very meticulous in his service provision. He did something that was completely shocking to me. He trimmed my cuticles!! My mind was blown. I thought it was against the cosmetology board for them to trim cuticles on any service other than a mani. anyway, I was so shocked I instantly made his top decision right then. Again, he was very meticulous! Love it!! My nails look amazing. I was on a high! The salon was clean and very nicely decorated. I proceeded to the counter to wait for them to tell me which chair to sit in for my pedi. The receptionist came to the front from the bar area and asked if I was ready to check out. I told her o was ready for my pedicure and reminded her of our interaction at the start of my visit. She consulted with the lady who told me they would do my nails first, then my pedicure... she came back and told me the same thing. I told them if they hadn't told me they'd do my pedicure after my nails I would have left to find another place to do both. She consulted with the lady again and this time she came to the front to tell me they couldn't do my pedicure because they had a party of 7 scheduled soon and "ma'am, this is Mother's Day weekend." And she even started trying to tell me that she told me there was a possibility she wouldn't be able to do my pedi-- which is a lie! What the what?!! I told her I know that it is Mother's Day weekend. I then offered to pay my bill. The receptionist apologized to me. I paid the bill. I left. I had to go and find a place that could do my pedicure!! I thought it couldn't possibly get any worse...WRONG!! To start, the nail tech that did my pedicure was talking on the phone the ENTIRE time from start to the moment I walked out of the salon...very unprofessional! She was cutting on my cuticles so aggressively that she made me bleed TWICE!! She tried to cover it up by continuously dabbing the wound with a dirty towel but one of my toes was bleeding so badly that it was still bleeding 30 mins after she cut it. 24 hours later and it is still sore and I worry about possible infection since the tech didn't use sanitary practices. She kept trying to get me to dip it in the dirty water and buff it out, etc...anything to make the horrible bleeding less noticeable. I ended up not completing the service because it hurt so badly. This tech should get off the phone and pay attention to what she is doing. CUSTOMERS BEWARE OF GETTING WOUNDED IF YOU COME HERE. I'll never give this place another chance again. Previous review from a year ago: Very bad experience here. I would NOT recommend this place. Multiple other people were complaining as I was leaving, so it seemed no one was very happy with this place. Despite knowing I was unhappy with the final result, they charged me EXTRA to "fix" the problem... my nails had horrible, sloppy, uneven flower designs on them which I just asked them to remove because it was THAT BAD! (And trust me I'm not picky) Also the polish was streaky and uneven but after being here for 3 HOURS I didn't want to spend another second of time getting them to re-do completely so I just ate the cost. Worse costumer service ever!!!! Mothers day weekend my daughters schedule an appointment for me and my sister so I call to confirm the location. I have received a confirmation from the salon so I had their number, after waiting on hold for a while the receptionist tells me that the confirmation is not valid and neither the reservation because they are fully booked and if she didn't confirm personally with a call the text and email were not valid. Not an apology or an effort to accommodate me. So I ask what i I have showed up to my appointment without calling and she replied nothing the reservations are not valid unless I confirmed. I love that the wait is never long and it doesn't have that strong nail polish smell like most nail salons do!!! I've been getting pedicures for awhile and my boyfriend came with me a few days ago and he also was happy with no strong polish smell but he absolutely loved the massage on the chairs. First couple times, good. 3rd time, it look 3 hours because the guy wanted to "try new designs". 4th & 5th, the guy was so beyond rude I wish I would've left and stopped them. On top of that, gel peeled off about a week after 5th visit. 6th time... basic ombré with medium length. As he filed, my nails are now shorter than my natural length. Shape is absolutely awful. I have so much gunk under my nails and around the edges. At check out, the lady attempted to charge me $10 extra for shaping??? Only one side on half the nails is coffin. The rest are round or square?? I try to be polite and nice but this is multiple bad people on multiple occasions with different style nails. Extremely over priced at that. Do yourself right and go to Lam at Grand Nails & Spa. I should've never left there. read more

The first photo is what I asked for, the second and third are what I got. The set was not done correctly, the lady literally glued the tip on and then put the clear acrylic nail on top of it and then added the clear coating and that was it. I've never seen it done like that and it did not look good. Every other time I've gotten French tips (I get them all the time - the first photo are my own nails), they will glue on the tip, put the clear part on and then scrape the clear part off of the tip, and then add the white acrylic to the tip part of the nail. You can see in the third picture how thick the nail is, it looks horrible. The person who did my nails was clearly the manager or something as she was telling all the other employees what to do and managing the schedule. She was extremely distracted, unfocused, and rushed through the whole thing. I left, and then came back about 10 minutes later because I didn't like them at all. I did not want a refund, I just wanted them removed. She would not remove them, she just kept saying she would fix them over and over. I asked multiple times to just remove them and she refused. She made me feel very uncomfortable in front of all the other customers. She was already working on another girl, and I told her I did not want her to interrupt her manicure as she probably waited a long time. She did it anyway and the other girl had to wait for her to "fix" mine. They looked exactly the same. I will not be returning and would not recommend this salon. read more

i don't leave reviews to anywhere i go. but i had the worst experience here. i showed a picture of what exactly i wanted and asked what the price would look like. it was a basic french just in the color red. she told me it would be only $50 but to wait so she could see the length. my nails were not long by any means. we started it was good up until it came to polishing. once i had seen my hand i saw one nail the design was crooked and as i look at the rest of them you can see the access paint left on my nails. i was also cut by the drill. i immediately took my hands out and said i wasn't happy with my nails looking the way they did especially for the price she gave me. not only did i have threats that the cops would be called but i was literally locked inside the salon and they refused to let me leave. my phone had died once i called my partner. i ask the manager what her solution was because i didn't want the nails. she ignored me so a client butted in asking "what's wrong with them i see nothing wrong" speaking from a distance obviously. i kindly told her to stay out and she laughed and smiled said that "if you want to get the cops involved i can have my friend here in 5 minutes and he will handle you" so i ignored her and asked the manager who ran the shop and again what's the solution. she told me she wasn't going to cut them off and that i had been there a hour and i should've said something. again this all happened when she painted my nails. i offered to pay a tip to the tech who did my nails but did NOT want the nails. she refused. once my partner showed up she looks at my nails and instantly see where i am not satisfied. and offered to pay to get them cut off they charged me $20. clients were trying to say i didn't have enough money and that was the "problem". this was my end result of how my nails were cut. i do not recommend coming here. read more

My daughter showed the tech a photo of what she wanted, the tech cut my daughter's nails down and did a poor job of adding the new nails, decided she was unable to complete what my daughter asked for and changed it to french tips, the manager was also unsatisfied with the job and took over. They were sloppy, misaligned and she cut my daughter's fingers multiple times. When asked for a refund the manager said she would process it, next day we called and she was rude and said we had to go in person but we were busy. The following day we arrived and she refused the refund and said it wasn't that bad. She grabbed my daughter's hands and when her mom tried to point out the mistakes the manager slapped her hand away then backed behind the counter to hide. Only then, when we got really upset did she lie and say she was calling the owner to get a refund, when she handed the phone over, it was another employee who also refused the full refund. They offered half off on a gift card with no way to verify there are any funds on it. read more

I went in for a gel manicure for me and my son. My son's nail tech was good. But my nail tech took 2 hours for a basic one color gel manicure. And made me feel really uncomfortable with his comments saying I'm pretty, and staring at my chest. He also did a horrible job my nails were uneven, and patchy. And for him to take 2 hours and do a bad job is not ok he seemed very inexperienced and like he didn't know what he was doing. read more
