I love Golden Nail!! I genuinely cannot recommend this salon enough. Their business is always clean, has great music (with music videos), and serves delicious drinks. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. However, the star of the show, for me, is Phong. I've been going to him for 5 years now, and he's a master of his craft. I've included some of my favorite sets he's done on me. Everything he does is hand-painted, done with patience and attention to every small detail. He always knows what I want and works with the ideas I bring in. Parking can be a bit difficult at times due to nearby businesses (a children's play center and a Thai restaurant), so plan for that, as weekends tend to be busier. It seems like there's a nail place on EVERY corner these days. They are not all made the same. I stopped by here to get some quality work done on my feet (and really men, I've seen the hawk talons poking out of your flip flops in the warmer weather...ya'll need some foot care) because long distance running is taking its toll on my feet and nails. The staff was so great and welcoming waking in the door and working on my pedi. The shop is clean and well organized. You get a beverage of your choice (they have alcohol and non alcohol choices) and I felt like a client getting served not another customer getting herded through like cattle. Swung by to get pedis with the girls. ambiance 10/10 very modern decor through out. the pedicure chairs were short person friendly so that's a plus! pricing was high most pedicures were 70+ however they do serve fabulous drinks and you get 2 per person. I opted for the pina colada. The pedicure itself was okay, staff seemed a bit rushed- there was 3 of us and all completed the service at different times dispute starting together. Water stayed warm through out the duration. The technician, Thi, repeatedly commented on my child being "hairy" while working on her nails and toes. These remarks were unnecessary, inappropriate, and deeply uncomfortable - especially directed at a toddler. It was heartbreaking to see my daughter become self-conscious and visibly uneasy over comments that should never have been made. Children deserve kindness and sensitivity, not judgment. This experience was upsetting and unacceptable, and it's not something I would expect from a professional establishment. I hope management takes this seriously and ensures staff are trained to treat all clients, especially children, with respect and care. read more

I went to get a color change and a design on my big toe. The nail tech, Stephanie, stated she could l Only do a design with gel polish. A young man that checked me in came over, and she asked him how much it was for me to get my feet polished with regular polish. The total was 18 dollars. He went on to explain to me that they could only give me a design on my big toe if I got gel polish. So I wasn't able to get a simple design on my big toe because I didn't want gel polish on my toes. And the design was a V-shape French tip on the big toe. The experience wasn't what I expected. So I didn't get the fill on my nails. Stephanie's demeanor was like she didn't want to do my color for the 18 dollars. So she wasn't customer-friendly at all. The young lady that checked me out apologized for the horrible experience. So don't go here unless you want gel polish for your design. This review won't let me post. Maybe because I gave them a one star. read more

Second time coming here! They take walk-ins and I was glad they were able to help me out. The design I had in mind was complex and all the nail technicians that could draw it were booked. I had a simpler design of flowers on my nails. Though not what I originally pictured, they were still really cute! The nail technician worked overtime to complete my nails too. You get a drink menu and can pick two drinks (juice, wine, soda, etc.). I just got water this time. I will say that I don't like when the nail technician removes the nail polish with her nail. Her nail scratches my skin and I bleed. Three of my fingers are cut on the sides of the nails and it hurts when I type. read more

This is my favorite nail lounge. Hands down. Manager on duty is attentive, friendly, and will help you get your card out of the ATM!! Music and music videos for background noise is good. I love the gel x lately and my nail lady found my perfect summer pink. She was informative and thoughtful. Honestly, I might start requesting her. This place was recommended by a friend so we decided to go get pedicures. It is absolutely stunning inside. One of my favorite parts was the two complimentary cocktails that you receive during your visit. It's not just wine and margaritas like you typically get at nail salons, they actually have a bar. The Pina colada was to die for!!! But the customer service was highly disappointing. First, when we arrived the manager/owner (not sure who he was) told us to sign in and while we were doing so he told us to forget all the information that it was asking for and move to the other side of the salon. Secondly, I asked to add hot stones to my pedicure and again the manager/owner brushed me off when I asked him about doing so. Thirdly, first time visitors (which I was) get 10% off their service. When I went to sign up it was for the Pflugerville location but after you insert your information it only populates for the South Congress location so they wouldn't honor it as they "use different systems". Which 10% isn't that big of a deal but when it's your system that it changing the location for which I receive this discount, you should try to do something to rectify this. Lastly, with my pedicure I got regular polish. When walking out the door I accidentally chipped my toe. The person who did my toes quickly finished by the manager/owner came over and told me "that's why you need gel polish". If you recommended it so much how about you don't put it as an additional cost when you already have people spending hundreds of dollars with you? If I could just return for a Pina colada I would but the piss poor customer service and management will keep me FAR away. read more

I was super excited about this place. It's very pretty, the front desk ladies and my nail technician were very nice. I got the Classic Pedicure. I was pleased with the work done, until I left. I noticed that one of my toes was hurting. I thought maybe she just went too deep w the little cutter, but no. She sliced me pretty deep. I have attached a photo. I've been getting my nails done here for about 5 months now and it's probably the only time I've ever been loyal to a nail salon lol. I found Ryan my second visit and I've been seeing him since! I've never had anyone perfect my nail shape or put so much detail and time into getting it right. I'm very hard on my nails and they always last 2-4 weeks at a time. He's helpful with color choices and the staff is all very helpful of each other. You can tell they learn from each other constantly. I love coming every other Monday and grabbing a coffee from their bar. The music is loud but entertaining. It feels so luxurious here and top dollar and still such a fair price on nails. This was my place while I lived in Austin! It's a bit pricey, but it's worth it for quality nails! The shape was perfect and the final product looked like the inspiration pictures almost every time. I gave it 4/5 stars because a few times my normal tech wasn't available and each time, the women who did my nails rushed and I was unsatisfied with the work. I also tried getting an almond shape and the tech who did it (also not my usual tech) left me wanting to never return. I decided it wasn't the shape or tech for me and all was well after that. Parking out front is solid, there is a BAR inside (and during my service, was given a menu that stated you get 2 complimentary drinks to choose from! I got a pina colada )!!
