My first visit to Lush. Beautiful place inside. Came for a no chip pedi and no chip mani. Out of all of the massage pedi chairs, I was placed in one that was broken and wouldn't turn on and eventually it started hurting my back because it was so uncomfotable with the massagers sticking out. Pedi water was not warm. The pedicure was fine but the gel polish paint job is not, could have done a much better paint job Especially for speding $50 on this service. The mani was much better, had a different nail tech do this who took her time. Always pleased with this salon. They are friendly and do a great job! The salon is clean and well organized.

I got a full set. The tips weren't put on my nails properly so there is a gap between my natural nail and the tip on half of them. The original polish bubbled and looked awful. They were able to get me in the next day to fix it. I showed them the "lifted" nails but they did not fix them. They just redid the polish. By day 3 the polish on my thumb chipped and by day 8 a couple had loose edges. I will not return to them for a fill. read more

Came here a few times and every single time my nails were never perfect. My cuticles were never done right and it would take forever to get my nails done. One time I called to make an apt and the owner said she was only booking her current clients even though I had been going there and she yelled and hung up on me. She was so rude!! This was my first time visiting Lush Nail. They take walk-ins and that's why I decided to give them a try. The inside was very clean and their decor was very cute. The nail technicians were very friendly. I found them to be pricier than other nail salons in Rockford. (For 1 no chip manicure, 1 full set, and 2 pedicures my total was $163.) They did a good job on my no chip manicure and pedicure. However, I think their pedicure are over priced for all they do. It was very basic nothing special, I've had better pedicures with more services, for cheaper. I would go back if I randomly want my nails done again or can't get an appointment at a different salon. I made an appointment with Mim online and when I got there I didn't know the person who checked me in was her. She put me with an elderly lady me thinking she could do it and also thought she was mim. I am so dissatisfied with this business. I told them I would wait on her but she didn't want to do my nails. They told me I had to request her but I not only made my appointment with her I said I made my appointment to her me not knowing it was the lady that should've been doing it. She knows her name she should have said who she was. I hate feeling racism but I do bc if she didn't want to do my nails that should have been said worst experience ever!!! read more

I decided to give Lush another try for a pedicure. Well, 10days after my pedicure a nail extension along with the no chip polish completely came off. (Usually my pedicures last me a minimum of 1 month). I stopped back in to get it fixed and it was free of charge, and looked even BETTER than the first time! Thank you Lush for making it right. I loved the people that did our pedicures but my nail artist was very rude and didn't do a very good job. The nails were lifting at the base and snagging my hair after a week. They were loose and falling off way too early. I'm not even 2 weeks into having them. Instead of using my nails they cut them all short and put tips on them which I was upset about. The tips weren't glued on very well either. My friend and I wanted to try a place in between our places but I will not be going back. It was a beautiful salon and very clean. read more

Wow! This place is a hidden gem in Rockford to get pampered at! I went in for a gel fill, as a nail salon close by had done my nails previously. I was pleased with he other salon's service, yet they happened to be closed on Tuesdays. Surprise, surprise! Lush was the next closest and I am so pleased with their staff, quality of work, attentiveness, the salon IS GORGEOUS AND CLASSY! Love love love it! Will definitely be back every two weeks! First time here - did just an ok job on no chip manicure - polish around the cuticles a little sloppy - within 72 hours 7 of my 10 nails started to have cracks - I went in for the repair that night - 48 hours later - I'm seeing a crack on one of my nails. Went for a pre-Thanksgiving mani-pedi with my daughter. The service was fine, but I was taken aback by a few things. First, there are signs that offer 10% off if you post 2 five-star reviews. I understand this is common, but it seemed kind of blatant. Second, before she started to manicure part of my service, she asked if I wanted a "full" manicure or just painted. The difference, I learned, is if you want lotion and a hand massage, the cost is $10 more. I declined, my daughter wasn't asked and she got the "full" service. We were both charged the same price. And, finally, when we went to pay, we learned that there is a 4% surcharge for using a credit card. I didn't notice any signs that pointed that out. read more

i typically do not write reviews however I feel it is necessary in this case. I am a loyal customer who comes in every 2 weeks to get my nails done since they opened this nail salon. Almost every time there is an issue with over booking or my tech having someone else start, or even complete the whole service without even asking if that was okay with me (maybe 3 times out of my steady bi-weekly apts has it actually gone smoothly with no booking issue). I made an apt with my nail tech and she tells me she was over booked so I have to wait or asked if i wanted a pedicure first (however, I never booked for a pedicure... i wanted my nails done and wanted to go on my way). Multiple times the owner or someone else has to do my nails even though I book ahead of time with my nail tech. i'm not typically one to fuss but today was the last straw. I left work early to get my nails done and same thing happened as usual. My nail tech told me she was overbooked and didn't know i was coming in. customer service is a huge deal to me and this nail salon really lacks that. Especially with loyal clients which is disappointing. I will not be back here because I feel if they cared about my business it wouldn't be a stressful visit every time. I will provide a picture to show how they confirm your apt, yet when you get there, you are sent on a wild goose chase. Extremely frustrating salon to go to. To be respectful, I crossed out the techs name since it may very well be an issue with the front desk & not completely her fault per say but if she notices this is a problem, it should be corrected and made up to the client--not pushed to the side and done multiple, excessive times after as well. The fact I had to walk out today because of an overbooking issue should tell you there's a problem. please, value your customers more. if overbooking is an issue, talk to your employees at the front to get it figured out! you're losing business and don't tell me this never happens because I know multiple people it has happened to, including me almost every time I come to the salon) :) figure it out. read more
