For a store this small, there's definitely no room for hiding here. Let me tell you what I mean.... All of the employees at Lush are always so happy and grateful to assist the customers that walk through their doors. They have smiles on their faces and are glad to point you in the right direction for all of your gifting and personal needs. The product is all displayed so plentiful, you know exactly what's in stock and available for purchase. And what girl, young lady or woman wouldn't absolutely just this place?? Ok..ok, I know some of those hot topic, goth girls who only wear black on black on black will never be caught dead in a store this colorful, but hey even they like to pamper themselves, even if it's on the down low. (HaHa) In all seriousness, Lush is a wonderful place for all. Products made by hand, allowing those who use their product to feel pampered, refreshed and beautiful is an absolute amazing thing. My wife loves their body conditioners, soaps and bath bombs, so it seems to be the go-to for her stocking stuffers every Christmas. And hey, sometimes when I'm low on soap, I may or may not dabble into her snow fairy, Rose jam conditioners and creams, cause hey..why not??.... Just kidding. Maybe. Probably not. Lol. All joking aside, Lush is a great quality product and deserves to be in the limelight. I came in last night for the first time looking for a gift for my niece. I explained to both ladies that I had no idea of what anything was and I had never stepped foot in the store before. They were so incredibly helpful explaining, suggesting and guiding me through the store. I left with a perfectly packaged gift and a little something for myself. What a great experience! First, I would like to say this is not my first time from visiting LUSH stores and also buying from LUSH. however, I am just astonished with this experience at this store, the staff were unprofessional and honestly seem like a hazard. Like making a mess with own products they have in their store for example blowing bubbles and then dropping on the floor! Just seems like a slipping hazard?? Not only did that happen, but as well as a employee threw something at another employee, while we were in the store! And if you are an avid LUSHIE, you would understand that usually the staff is in your face, asking you all types of questions, but this was definitely not the case in this store. Just a very unprofessional business. Another problem my face was at the bath bombs that they had out were very discolored and like falling apart. I have been finding that the quality of their products has been recently going down. This is one of the reasons why I ventured out to going to other stores to see if this is true. I don't know if this was just a one time thing, but not in my case... From this experience, I will definitely not be returning to the store. Hopefully this gets to their attention. read more

I have bought many many gifts here... bath bombs and soap. I needed to do the same today. I know to wear a mask, which we did throughout the mall. I have no problem with having my temp taken. BUT I will NOT put poison on my hands to enter a store. LUSH is no longer on my list of gifts... not even on-line. Its funny... I was at the hospital,grocery store, sporting goods store today before coming here... never before had I been asked to put poison on my hands to enter. My other thought was it a non toxic kind of sanitizer, if there is such a thing... I have no idea what was in it, but it stopped a great sale for the store. read more

This Lush had terrible customer service I was never greeted or asked if I needed help I walked by one employee and then another employee walked by and never greeted me or asked if I needed help. This is the worst Lush store I've been too. Their employees need to be trained in how to provide customer service, I'm disappointed because I was wanting to buy some products but took my business elsewhere. read more

You cant open your mask when you smell, they literally followed you everywhere to make sure you dont lower your mask when you try to smell anything and keep telling you that you have to keep your mask on. Super annoying !!!!! read more

I wasn't expecting to enjoy this store so much since I don't use bath bombs and rarely buy specialty soaps but the first thing I fell in love with was the amazing aroma inside the store. The bright colored products were very eye catching too, though I don't see myself spending $8 on something that appears to have been crafted by a kindergartener in play-doh sculpting class. Really, some of the items look super ugly in a "look what my 4 year old made!" way. Ugh no thanks. I liked the more polished looking products and think I'll be going back for some soaps for myself and as gifts. A bit of a long line on a weekend at peak hour but probably better during a weekday. LUSH is a skin care lovers dream come true, and the excellent customer service you experience upon walking into the Thousand Oaks store is superb as they really want to hook you up with the correct combination of products that are in tune to your skin concerns. Brett was our salesperson, he worked with myself as well as my friend asking up questions regarding our problem zones and testing products out on us. I have struggled with Acne since I was 11 years old, always battling acne in my T-zone, as a young girl my parent's took me to a dermatologist who prescribed medications that worked wonders for many,but didn't do a thing for me, in fact they merely dried my skin out, but the breakouts kept coming, the only medication that has ever worked for me was Acutane and I don't like taking that because of it's side effects. As an adult, I've become very cynical when I hear the wonders of any form on anti acne miracle cures, I've tried about everything under the sun and with little to no results, some worked better than others, but in the end they all dried my skin out. Finally in my forties my skin is clearing up... ha ha, who has to wait until they are 42 to say that? I always was a late bloomer. At this point in my life I'm of course looking to keep my skin fresh and vibrant, I know there is no cure for the eventual progression of age, but heck if I don't want to stay looking good for as long as I can. Everything made at LUSH is made with essential oils, no chemicals go into the products being used. The prices are equally reasonable, I was shocked at how affordable it was. I chose the Coffee Mask, and it's just that coffee grounds, you keep it in the refrigerator, my face felt so alive after I washed it off, tight and clean, and dare I say Caffeinated! :) Stop in, you won't leave empty handed. (For anyone who read my unedited review... I was typing an office email as well as this review, needless to say, you most certainly do not need to keep the Coffee mask in the hospital...lol.) read more

Men, if you're looking for a new little gift for the women in your life then stop by LUSH before it's too late! I've purchase a few bath bombs for my lady for Christmas and Valentines days. She LOVES these thing. I'll admit they're not the cheapest items I've ever purchased as a small present especially since each bomb is between $5-$6 and only last one time. Still the value is making someone else happy and not worrying about your wallet. Heck a cup of Starbucks cost that much these days. The employees are very friendly and eager to help guide you through the vast varieties of aromas coming from every angle of the store. The entire shopping experience is similar to shopping at one of the many lotion stores like Bath and Body Works or the Body Shop. Like what most men experience, I feel a little uncomfortable and out of my element. I want to quickly make my purchases and leave but secretly I wouldn't mind exploring all of the interesting and fragrant products (C'mon guys, you know what I mean...right?). So fellas, get out of the normal routine of chocolates and flowers and pick up a couple of bath bombs...assuming you have a bathtub. I love lush but I hate walking into the store and having every employee following me around and breathing down my neck - continuously pushing products. I get that it's their sales tactic but I wish they weren't so pushy. I hate that I have to be uninterested and curt in order for them to leave me alone. I love this store!! Everyone who works here is so nice, NOT pushy, and is always offering samples. I love that they recommend products, explain what it does, how to use it, and then offers you a sample if you're not 100% sold on it, without you even asking! I got a demo here once and left with some products in hand. Everything here is made from good ingredients, so I justify their higher prices sometimes. I always wanted to try the tooth paste tablets and last month I decided to try the "boom" flavored tabs at Lush. It is charcoal and Chile flavored and the charcoal actually does help whiten the teeth! It's also not messy at all which you would think it would be since the tabs are black. It also comes in a container made from recycled material. I reuse the containers but they can be recycled again! The ingredients are also all vegan and they fight against animal cruelty. I went yesterday and I wanted to try a different flavor! Right now they have the charcoal and Chile flavor, mint and a flavor that tastes like sprite! I decided to go for the limelight flavor which I fell in love with right away. The charcoal flavor does take a bit to get use to. But the limelight was amazing from the start! I honestly will buy this flavor again and I will go back to get the charcoal tabs too. They also have a variety of mouthwash flavors to choose from! Becca was amazing and really did a great job to make sure my cousins and I were comfortable. I had many questions which she knew the answer to everything. I was interested in the face masks and she made sure to get the right ones for my skin. She gave me a few samples so I can try to see which ones would be best for my skin type. She also gave us a sample of the shower bombs which had our hands feeling so soft when we left. I decided to treat myself for getting all As in my grad school classes the last three quarters, so I went sort of nuts buying stuff online to pick up in store. I made two MORE orders of stuff I was trying to resist temptation over (failed) and felt so embarrassed for asking them to add it to the order. I felt akin to Steven Martin in The Jerk saying "And that's all I need! Except this..." I also felt embarrassed (as I do anywhere asking this) because I had to ask them not to include any samples with nuts in them (ie almond oil or walnut) because I am so allergic I could very seriously (no exaggeration) die. I hate asking and keep apologizing because I feel like I'm making a fuss. Half the time people get annoyed with me for asking (probably assuming I'm lying or being dramatic (I'm not), which doesn't help. However, the staff and manager could not have been nicer about it. The manager even took the time to email me to assure me that she made sure to let staff know NOT to include anything with nuts (which they made good on, thank you). The order was ready to go in a big paper bag when I got there, and the products I ordered are all wonderful, too. Thank you so much for being patient, communicative, and taking my request for no nuts seriously. I feel very safe shopping here as a result. I will be sure to come back. read more

I was interested in a lip product to heal my dry painful lips .. gave me a sample and i didn't even ask for or know they do . It healed my lips in one swipe ! I just fellin love with Lush! I just had had (hands down) the best, most luxurious, relaxing bath I have ever had! My skin feels soft and moisturized from the amazing rose scented bubble bar and I'm the most relaxed I've been in months due to the dream time bath melt (also got some super buttery soft skin) I have a few bath bombs and some more bubble bar and bath melts to get through and I can't wait to jump into the tub again and enjoy every last drop of lusciousness they have to offer! I have extremely sensitive skin especially on my face so one of my girlfriends suggested that I try out lush , I responded saying I was nervous because my face is easily irritated with almost every NEW product it comes to contact with . She told me that I should try the face masks to start off with and that lush offers samples for those . I went into lush and I explained that my face gets very sensitive and I dont feel comfortable buying the whole container because of that reason . I also didnt want to waste money buying a whole container incase my face reacts badly to it. Also since its my first time here that i would like to start with a sample of the fask mask to see how my face reacts to their products, I told him that if I like it I would come back to purchase. His response threw me off because he was very short and rude and said he cant give me a sample . I said you cant ever ? and he said yeah well you can't get the full benefits with just a sample and that he can put some on my hand to try. Before I can respond one of the coworkers, Another girl butted in and i felt very uncomfortable because i felt teamed up agaisnt . She said yeah buy the whole container and pulled it out to show me ...so i walked out with nothing. Let me just say whats the point of asking for a sample if I have to buy the whole container anyways? I understand that they need to make commission but lying to a customer is a lack of character integrity considering my girlfriend gets samples from them often ...The skin on my hands is very different than the skin on my face and how will i be able to access if their product actually works within the 2 minutes I'm there? It just doesnt make sense and I am very unhappy with their customer service and how they approached me. Lush definately needs to reevaluate their employees. What a wonderful, nice and large LUSH. The staff are friendly and observant and the inventory is very nicely displayed. I enjoy how they let you test and play with so much inventory in the store. They truly let you get a hands on experience with their products and soon enough, you will fall in love with LUSH as I have! It bums me out to have to leave a 3 star review as someone who has been a loyal Lush fan for so many years. Today I came in with my mom (converting a first timer, woo!) and we planned on going nuts with bath bombs and lotions because she had found so many things online that she wanted to smell and feel in person. One girl in particular was helping me pick out some new products and, while I appreciate her knowledge and enthusiasm for the store and its products, I was super jaded by the amount of sample she gave me. I have been in the store before and have left with samples that actually gave me the chance to see how I liked the product. The moisturizer sample I was given today likely won't even cover my entire face. My mom and I had a basket full of things and ended up spending $130 so I was kind of shocked at the audacity of them to skimp on the sample. read more

Just like everyone else, I love this place WAY too much. I never leave without spending at least $60 (last time it was $140! Eeeep!). My bathroom has been invaded and is pretty much only lush products, and I've gotten my boyfriend and brother into their products as well!! They swear by the Kalamazoo beard wash. High quality products, and they always leave me feeling and smelling good! My favorite products would have to be the twilight and sex bomb bath bombs, dream time bath melt, flying fox shower gel, R&B hair moisturizer, and the happy happy joy joy conditioner Another note, the employees are fantastic. They really know what they're talking about and go above and beyond to make sure leaves satisfied. It's pretty incredible for a company to select nothing but exceptional employees...I wish more businesses ran like that! Went in for the first time today. Made it about 5 feet when greeter by 1st associate. "Hello how are you what are you looking for?" How about let me in store first. Another 3 feet, next associate with same greeting. Yes, I stayed & was greeted again with same spiel. That was it! Stick a fork in me cuz I was done! I left & did the serpentine walk to get to the door without another "greeter". Store is not that big! Please let people get in the store & get an idea of what is being sold. I am a very frequent lush shopper and own over 20 lush products that I continually refill and I always come into Try something new and expect to be treated at least decently! usually the employees are all very helpful (a little too helpful sometimes) but this experience im describing really affected me and hurt my feelings. I believe the manager in the store was helping me (gray hair and tattoos) and when I was asking her questions about a product I wanted to try she spoke to me in SUCH a condescending manner and treated me like a complete and total idiot for not getting the purpose of the product correct (which is why im asking in the first place???????) I still ended up buying the products but I've never felt so mistreated by an employee in my life. I don't mind paying a little more for their fun stuff, but please Lush Salespeople, stop the hounding and stupidly obvious personal questions that you really don't want to know the answers to...
