We enjoyed this lodge. We were assigned a cabin at the edge of the lake but on the wrong side to see the mountains; we could walk right out the back door to the shore. It had a nice patio as well, but it would have been nicer if there weren't a smattering of trees blocking the view of the lake. I get that it's a national park...nature and all that...but the view would have been great. Another issue was the mosquitos. Again, not the lodge's fault...but we couldn't sit on the patio for long before the bugs drove us inside. The seal on the doors and windows wasn't super-tight, so we had a few mosquitos in the room with us all night. The bar and restaurant were OK. Strong drinks and quick service. My wife ordered the trout which was very overcooked but tasty. I got the fried chicken which was the same - really dark and slightly burnt, but tasty. We saw a beautiful elk with a full antler rack lounging in the grass when we stopped at the desk to check out - very cool.

After a short wait, we were seated in the atrium with a beautiful view of the lake. While we didn't see Hollywood, the neighborhood elk (we were told it's mating season and he was probably a bit busy) we did enjoy our meals in a cozy lodge atmosphere. I chose the trout tacos and they were excellent. Two large tacos came with one side (from many options). I loved that I could choose a side salad as an option. Others at our table had nachos (the 2-person nachos were ginormous) heaping with beef, beans, and cheese. Yum. Also burgers at our table that were large portions and very tasty. Great stop and majestic views. Service was excellent. Parking easy.

We made a last minute adjustment to our Teton/Yellowstone itinerary and booked a room at Signal Mountain Lodge a few weeks out. It was a little more than we would have liked to have paid, particularly since breakfast wasn't included, but it was convenient to the Tetons and Yellowstone. PROS: -Cozy cabin with a fireplace and 'rustic cabin decor'. -A couple of restaurants, a bar, gas station, gift shop and general store on site. We went to the Trapper Grill for dinner and really enjoyed it. -Clean. -Good shower. -Room well appointed with safe, hairdryer, long mirror. (FYI, no TV). -Complimentary outdoor parking. -Nice lake views from the general property (Not from our particular cabin which had a view of other cabins and the parking lot). -Toiletry dispensers in the shower. -Plenty of towels. -Large spacious lobby with complimentary hot drinks, a fireplace and seating with great lake views. -Quiet -Free wifi -We saw deer on the property. -The few times I called the property prior to arriving, they were very pleasant on the phone. CONS: -A bit pricey, particularly since breakfast isn't included, but we paid for the convenience of location. ($347.21 during the summer 2023 which we prepaid. Double check their cancellation rules as they aren't as flexible as some places). -Smallish (double) bed -No A/C, but a large floor fan was available, although it was a little tough finding a good place to plug it in. -Could do with more electrical/USB outlets in the rooms. Note: We booked the 'Float Trip' through the lodge, which we found somewhat boring and disappointingly we didn't see much wildlife. It was however, convenient as they picked us up right at the lodge.

We visited Signal Mountain Lodge during Covid. The main lodge, restaurant and boat rentals were all closed. We did take advantage of the laundry and genera store that were open on the property. Our room was spacious and clean. The kitchen was perfect (especially with restaurants being closed). We had amazing lake views and my kids loved playing on the smooth river stones. One thing I want to note is the bear activity in the area. While we didn't actually see a bear during our short visit we saw plenty of clear signs bears were just outside our room (scat and scratched trees). Use caution and always carry your bear spray.

We stayed at a non-view cabin for 2 nights and also ate at Signal Mtn Trapper restaurant for 2 dinners. We had a really nice experience. The cabins are rustic, but they get the job done. We saw the most beautiful starry night sky here. The lodge also had hot chocolate, coffee, ice, and a water bottle filling station... these are a must in a national park!! We had a really great waitress at Trapper Grill named Kailey! I really liked the buffalo chili.

Awful place in the summer! Avoid it like the plague. First, our cabin had zero airflow even when you open the windows. The windows screens many have holes. The window screens are smaller than the window and have huge gaps which lets all the mosquitoes and crawlers in WY in your room. We had to buy some stronger bug spray and the damn things still bit us. My daughter had eleven bug bites and we ended up giving her Benadryl. It was unbelievable hot in our room and all they give you is a box fan. The management was useless. They sent a guy who put one window screen patch but left the gaps in the screen. We ended up coming back late every night just to avoid the heat in the room. If you really want a real ruffing it vacation and bathe in bug spray before you go to bed then Signal Mountain is for you. Spiders all over the cabin bc the widows and doors are not sealed and they are looking for the mosquitos. I counted 12 mosquitos on our ceiling one night. The bushes around the cabins are overgrown and we had trouble finding the cabin. As a parent having to lather my kids down with bug spray before they go to sleep bc the $400 a night lodge didn't fix widows that allowed every mosquito in WY in our room is despicable. Yeah the place is pretty but they are untruthful on their website. The temperature was better outside than in our room and we could not open the windows bc the gaps in the screen. The restaurant is sub par. We had a waitress who seemed to be annoyed that we were sat at her table. We didn't feel welcome.

Great view of the lake and Teton mountain range from our room. We had the lakeside option for rooms and they had great views at night watching the sunset.

The residence we are staying in is beautiful and cozy. The staff is very attentive, friendly, and helpful. We participated in the guided fishing tour with Damian as our guide. He was the most knowledgeable fisherman I have ever met in my entire life and helped us have a very successful fishing trip with multiple catches. His boat is perfect for this kind of a fishing trip; hooked up with down-riggers and many rods, the boat was awesome. As we made our way around Jackson Lake, Damian pointed out many cool things and told us all about them such as the plane crash decades ago on Mount Moran and the eagles flying over Hermitage point. Single mountain lodge has a great coffee bar within the general store which is perfect for early morning wake-ups prior to a long day hike. The food offered in the lodge is also great, I ate sandwiches for dinner here a few nights during our trip because all the Jackson Hole restaurants were either fully booked, super expensive, or closed by the time we finished our day. Having food options right next door to our cabin was extremely helpful!

We only stayed one night. Wish we could have stayed longer. Our cabin had 2 rooms. Plenty of space for just the 2 of us. Nice bathroom with a heating light. Nice front porch with chairs. Cabin has a wooden closet, mini fridge, and more. Front desk asked us to dial 0 immediately if we see a bear. Wait. What?? They have a restaurant with amazing views and a really cool gift shop. Marina, gas station with a convenience store and free wifi with no password required, friendly staff. What else could you ask for while visiting the gorgeous Grand Teton National park. Go check them out!

1st stay at the lodge and had a comfortable room with two queens with a little deck with a view of the trees. All the staff were great, room was clean and comfortable and very sound proof....our family was next door and we couldn't hear them at all. The general store was a 3 minute walk and had a decent selection of coffee, food and supplies. Great central location in the park and beautiful view of the lake and the Tetons. Did an evening float trip with Joe and he was such an excellent guide. It was a highlight of our stay.

A cabin with shower and toilet are a godsend if you need to get up several times a night. The shower had great water pressure to rinse off and the toilet was a dependable flush every time. Cabin with bathroom is $241 per night which is spendy for what you get, but the privilege of staying on-site among the most amazing geysers in the world is priceless. Cleanliness is the one improvement I'd recommend. Our cabin had a network of ceiling corner webs that captured hapless flying bugs and the bathroom was grimy under the shower soap/shampoo dispenser. Let's start with the positives: the staff are notably friendly, offering a warm welcome that contrasts with the absence of crowds, ensuring a quiet environment. The functionality of amenities deserves recognition, as everything within the room works as expected. However, the establishment falls short in several critical areas. Firstly, the motel is in dire need of a remodel. The carpet, described as ancient and stained, coupled with a lingering cellar stench, detracts significantly from the overall experience. Despite the functional aspects, the outdated and worn interior fails to inspire a desire to extend one's stay. Pricing also emerges as a concern. At $270 per night, the cost appears exorbitant given the condition of the accommodations. In particular, during a heatwave, the window AC unit struggled to maintain a comfortable temperature, further diminishing the value for money. In conclusion, while Motel 8 by Wyndhams Driggs offers friendly service and operational amenities, the outdated facilities and steep pricing relative to the experience leave much to be desired. A necessary remodel and a reconsideration of pricing would greatly enhance its appeal to prospective guests seeking comfort and value.
