They carry everything painting related that you could possibly need, so it's a great, one-stop paint shop. I went in to get some ideas as to what color to paint my newly renovated kitchen. The main line they carry is Benjamin Moore. It's a quality paint, and the displays they had offered plenty of paint chip samples for me to choose from. While there I also picked up a beautiful metallic paint for an arts and crafts project. At the register I asked where cheap paint brushes would be - and they man showed me they had three differently-sized $5 brushes right at checkout. So smart and so convenient. I've narrowed down my color choices, so I called ahead to get two sample colors made. Each color cost $6.99, and was ready by the time I arrived to pick it up. They also provided recommendations for painters when I asked, which is so useful. Why deal with the hassle of a big box store, when you can shop here with no fuss? They have been in business since 1933, and I hope they make it another 87 years!

I also like the quality of the brand's paint. A BIG plus is the ability to view ALL the available paint colors online; they are separated into color sections such as oranges, reds, yellows, etc. It's a really nice feature that each Sherwin-Williams' website offers. Prior to heading to the store, I check out each prospective paint color by taking my phone and placing it up to my white wall to see if it is desirable. The website is definitely helpful. The store is always clean & well organized/stocked. The staffers (usually 2 or 3) have always been friendly. There's plexiglass surrounding the entire checkout area, if that interests you. I've found different sales (@ different times) on individual painting supplies throughout the store, but the sale prices are usually still too high. For example, a 6-ft aluminum ladder I almost bought on sale here for $99 was regularly priced $59 at the nearby Walmart-- where I decided to buy it. I have been purchasing Sherwin-Williams paint for my new home because the previous owner of my former house had custom colors created that I am duplicating in my new home. (Unfortunately, no other paint supply company could duplicate the colors by referring to the old paint labels.) However, I LOVE the Duration Home Satin paint sold here! And I love that I can phone ahead, ask to have paint mixed, pay over the phone (or not), & drive over to grab the quarts & gallons. Definitely go into the store to have a PROFILE created for you, so staff can quickly & easily whip up another quart or gallon of paint FAST after you phone in your request for the same paint color (or a new one). Once your profile is in the computer system, it matters not which location you use; they are computer-connected. With lots of parking, this business is located close to the I-75 ramp; however, my GPS had me make a wrong turn after entering from Bruce B. Downs... so beware. Sherwin-Williams sits beside Mavis Tires & Brakes. I will continue to shop here for custom colors & because the paint & service are very good. To save $$, I will, though, continue to purchase most of the other painting supplies elsewhere.

So by timing it right I got the best product for the best price. My needs were centered around finding the right paint for a bathroom remodel. The names he gave them, well we still laugh about. Oyster for the bed room was darker brown and some foo foo mocha color was light brown. This is surplus paint from stores and construction. It is a major brand. Order enough because this is real custom. We ended up with about a half gallon to gallon extra for each so we have some for touch ups and to redo the wall where I am building another closet. I would definitely do this again. We have about 1800 sq/ft. of livable space. We primed all walls and ceilings, moulding, doors etc. Painted all surfaces, different color in each room. No issues, still looks great. Im not going to give an exact price but lets say it was under 400. Saved well over a thousand dollars. It's not a home store but if it going to one makes you feel better go there.
