I spoke to a park employee when I was there and still wasn't able to get a straight answer. I did find out that if you want to set up a program for kids where they learn about pioneer life, including churning their own butter, then you have to make arrangements ahead of time, and that makes sense. It seems you can wander the grounds and look at the barn and the gardens and the outside of the various buildings from dawn to dusk in good weather. I'm still not clear on whether the museum has regular hours or if you have to call ahead to arrange a tour, though. The nice park employee I spoke to, though, did give me a full tour of one of the auxiliary buildings, between the museum and the barn. They have a really nice hall here that's often rented for weddings and wedding receptions, and they have a whole album of photos you can look at to see people who have used it before. The reception hall is up a flight of stairs, but they have an elevator for handicapped access. I loved this place and plan to go back to explore some more. I may have to borrow a friend's kid for a day and take him or her to one of the programs because they sound like a lot of fun.

They are both so genuinely kind, and you can tell they are passionate about what they do. George was our officiant and did a perfect job. He met with us beforehand and went over the ceremony with us a few times leading up to the wedding to make sure it was exactly what we wanted. Our day was truly perfect and ran so smoothly, thanks to them and their amazing assistant Grace. I cannot recommend the Historic Blum Barn enough!!

The only thing I wish, is that it was stroller friendly. It's mostly gravel so it's very inconvenient and probably damaging to the stroller. I understand it's a farm though (and that they have a separate cafe). Anywho, there is a whole parking lot for people to park and then an area for shopping for fresh veggies and bread. And there is a separate area by a lovely willow tree where you can get coffee, their home made root beer (will have to try that next time), and pastries. Now the pastries were AMAZING!!! I got their chocolate croissant and jalapeno popper croissant. Both were sooo delicious!! The chocolate croissant was very close to how Quebec makes them. It was soft and had the right amount of chocolate! The Jalapeno popper croissant filling was sooo unique and tasty!! I loved it! I will definitely be back! Oh and I sampled their mango lassi and it was delicious! I also appreciated the space where kids can feed and look at the goats and llama. There is a little pond play area too. Upon my arrival I was greeted by a gorgeous horse and two shaved alpacas in a pen by the parking area. Upon further inspection I also saw several goats (including some youngins) and two very cute donkeys. All of them were so friendly and curious. Getting to pet cute animals? It was already a five star fave and I hadn't even gone inside! Eventually I pulled myself away from the cuties and went inside. There I found a wonderfully curated selection of locally made pantry goods for sale (some baked goods, jams, honey, snack foods, candy, coffee, pastas, etc) a few standing coolers of refrigerated and frozen goods like locally sourced eggs, dairy, ice cream, quiche, pierogi, dips and spreads, and more. And of course, the star of the show, their own selection of pasture raised and house butchered cuts of beef, pork, and chicken (alongside more processed offerings like sausages, brats, etc). It doesn't get much fresher, local, and sustainable than this, folks! And they have a massive selection to choose from, too. We had just started our recent heatwave and I had errands to run so I didn't want to buy a lot but I did get a frozen quiche, a package of whitefish dip, granola, a couple of small ice cream bars (might have eaten those in the car!), and some cheese curds. Luckily they had cooler bags so I added one of those to the order to help the frozen goods keep everything else cold. I know the circumstances will be different next year, but I'm excited to see what Coleman's will offer next fall.

On 8/23/2021, they sent an email implementing new very strict covid protocols that pushed my daughter and her future husband to change EVERY EVENT DETAIL to have the event take place outside. Just 4 days later, on 8/27/2021 they received a second email, CANCELLING the entire event. Cobblestone personnel CANCELLED their wedding after the details to move everything outdoors had been successfully changed, just 15 days before their wedding date of 9/11/2021. Not only did they cancel the event 15 days before it was scheduled to happen, they did it by email on a Friday just before 5pm. No phone call, and at best a pathetic explanation as to why they felt justified to do so. The people that work at Cobblestone are selfish, unprofessional, and should not be employed at such a venue if they care so little for the community or customers they are serving. If you are thinking about having a wedding or event at an outdoor site in the Ann Arbor area, look anywhere else as Cobblestone Farm is a nightmare to deal with.

They have someone do it, and that person has a habit of grabbing the apples with his fingernails which cuts into the apples. ALL of the apples. This happened over two seasons. Several people I know have had this same issue. A group of about 10 people left the line when they noticed it happening. I would love to make this go-to orchard but because of this hygiene issue, I just can't. And in case you wonder-they've been told it's an issue. They don't care I guess.
