We ended up transferring our children to a different preschool after coming to understand the differences in teaching philosophies and methodologies in "traditional" preschools, like Bowman Academy, and some of the alternative programs, like Montessori and Waldorf. We felt our circumstances were best served elsewhere, but I cannot say enough good things about our children's teachers; Mrs. Bobbie (amazing!!!!), Mrs. Susan, Mrs. Kidder and Mrs. Emily. Truly caring and talented teachers. There was an administrative change at Bowman that I feel created some turbulence, but it is the teachers that matter most.

After researching, visiting, and experiencing 2 other preschools, I have been beyond happy with them. This is the most caring, loving, kind, generous, and flexible team I've ever come across, even in my own business interactions. They absolutely cater to the families as a unit, respond quickly and efficiently, and have the most loving staff. Bowman has created a culture of teachers and caregivers that excel at making the children feel comfortable and loved, while the parents feel supported and "heard." I'll never forget the first day of school for my daughter, who was of course crying for me not to leave, and the teacher (whom I simply love and trust, as I do all of them) looked at me and said "the faster you make your departure, the more easy it will be for her." I trusted her, I kissed my daughter and left (and of course cried my eyes out in the parking lot). She was right, and my children have always felt safe and protected there as a product of that compassionate and confident leadership their teachers exude. We toured the school shortly after relocating to Tampa Palms and immediately felt comfortable. Many of the teachers, especially in the rooms of the youngest children, have been with the school for a very long time. They treat your children as if they were their own. They challenge them, they support them, they teach them, and they allow them to be children. The curriculum is dynamic and feedback is consistently provided to help us to extend the learning outside the classroom. From a value perspective, the pricing is extremely competitive and affordable. When the new owners took over, they spent significant funds to improve the facilities. They upgraded the entire outdoor area to make it more usable year round, especially during rainy season. The Fitzpatricks did this because they knew it would be a better product and a better environment for our children. Tuition didn't increase a penny, despite the large capital improvement. The owners and leadership team work closely with outside vendors to make sure that the extracurricular programs offered to our students are competitively priced and from reputable companies. My son loves that he is able to participate in gymnastics, soccer, drama, and soon will be joining in on karate. He wouldn't have the opportunity to be exposed to such a wide variety of programs without Primrose. In terms of responsiveness, we've never seen a parent's request or small complaint go without answer and remediation. The school does an excellent job communicating with all parents. No school of infants to Pre-K students will ever be completely free of germs, but should a student bring an infection into school, there is immediate communication to parents, and steps are taken to ensure that any potential spread is minimized. I travel for work most weeks and my wife also works full time. Neither of us would be able to have the peace of mind and ability to focus on our careers that we do without the amazing environment and experience provided by both Primrose and its owners, The Fitzpatricks. We know that our son is in good hands and is surrounded by friends, teachers, and administrators who care about his safety, well-being, education, and growth. When you enroll in Primrose, you gain an extension of your family. Teachers become aunts and uncles who check in on your child long after they move on from their classroom. The support staff and administrators go out of their way to make you feel informed and included, and they make sure to give every student attention. A building full of infants and toddlers has the potential to be a very chaotic place, but somehow the group at Primrose Tampa Palms finds a way to provide a calm, inclusive, and supportive environment for all of us. A child's education and development is one of the most important investments you can make, especially in these early years. If we had to make the choice again, we'd choose Primrose every time.

We've been very happy…read morewith our experience -- I watch the live feed of his classroom all the time and check the photo updates (all through their app) to see what he's doing throughout the day. He gets to go outside on the playground twice a day usually, which is his favorite thing. I particularly love that they prepare breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack for the kids each day, and my super-picky toddler (at least, picky with us) eats ALL of it! One day recently, they told us he had seconds of green beans, which he will not touch when we try to feed him at home. Diapers and wipes are also included in the tuition, which I'm grateful for, because it's one less thing I have to worry about when packing his bag each morning -- I really just am packing up a change of clothes for him. We send him with a sheet and blanket for naptime, and they give those back to us each Friday so we can wash them over the weekend. In our year and a half here, we've only lost one outfit (shirt and pants), and had a white shirt get pretty destroyed by paint, but that's to be expected from any daycare I think. I have learned to almost exclusively send him in dark-colored clothing, and I buy his clothes at Once Upon a Child so we aren't super upset if something gets lost. We celebrated his birthday earlier this month, and when I walked in that morning, every single staff member wished him a happy birthday! There is a little bit of a language barrier at times with some of his teachers, but I can tell they care for my little boy and that matters more to me. I know he's still adjusting to his new classroom, but overall, the most important thing is that my son is happy and healthy, and he seems to enjoy coming here.

I would NEVER recommend this school to any parent…read more What I experienced here was beyond disappointing. It was unsafe, neglectful, and completely unacceptable for a childcare environment. My daughter is only 2 years old. On multiple occasions, I watched through the cameras as children cried for long periods of time with no response from the teachers. They would walk past crying children over and over without even checking what was wrong. The breaking point for me was when I watched my daughter crying uncontrollably for over 20 minutes. She was sitting at a table, following the teacher (Virginia Coronado) with her eyes, clearly asking for help, while being completely ignored. Instead of comforting her, the teacher placed a bib and food in front of her while she was still crying in distress. I had to call the director myself and ask someone to go check on my child. When I picked her up, I was later informed through a report that she had been bitten. She had been crying in pain while being ignored. She still has a mark on her arm. Another extremely concerning situation: I clearly recognized when my daughter had a bowel movement (as she has a specific behavior), and she was not changed. Instead, she was placed for breakfast. Nearly two hours passed before she was changed, and only after I called and asked. Classrooms consistently appeared overcrowded, often with too many children for one teacher. The overall environment felt disorganized, inattentive, and lacking basic care. The attitude of the staff is also concerning. Teachers often appeared visibly irritated, cold, and disengaged. After nap time, children were abruptly woken up and placed standing while still disoriented. This is not a nurturing environment. It felt like the children were being managed, not cared for. Removing my daughter from this school was an immediate decision. As a parent, I regret ever placing her here, and I truly hope no other family has to go through what we experienced.

It takes time to build the right team and culture, so I am adding another star for that understanding as well.
