Had a fun Saturday night out with friends at Luv & Oven! They often have live music on the weekends, and also host Musical Bingo on Tuesdays, which sounds like a fun midweek option. We sat in the outdoor area, which has both table seating and an outside bar. It was definitely busy when we arrived around 7:30 p.m. because the band was playing, so tables were pretty close together and the atmosphere was lively and energetic. The music was really good and made for a great night out. Their menu has a little bit of everything -- pizza, wings, burgers, wraps, salads, and more. I ordered the grilled chicken salad, which was fresh and really good. My friends enjoyed southwest chicken salads and a wrap. Drink-wise, I tried a watermelon cocktail that was refreshing and delicious, while others had margaritas and beer. Later in the evening I was still a little hungry, so I ordered the garlic knots -- and I'm glad I did. They were more like bite-sized pieces of dough tossed in lots of garlic and olive oil, and they were so flavorful. Service was okay, but understandable considering how packed it was. Fun place to come to for quick bar bites. We used to visit this location frequently when they had bingo nights, and a big group of us would always attend. The restaurant definitely shows its age inside. Furniture and bar area are a bit out dated. The staff here is friendly, and they do offer some good specials every now and then. I love that there is indoor and outside seating available. On the cooler days it's nice to sit out back and enjoy the fresh air. read more

Came here to meet some friends & to hear a live band. "A Bad Reputation" The band was great. The service was very good too. However the food and prices were not. I paid $8 for a small draft beer. The buffalo salad was awful. There were 4 small pieces of chicken that were barely covered with sauce. It was over a bed of iceberg mix (from the bag). I requested blue cheese dressing. Requested a slice of pizza as an after dinner snack and was informed slices were not available, which was disappointing since I've had pizza at Luv'n Oven before and they are huge and tasty. We went to the rear outside patio for the upcoming live band but as I opened the door there was thick cigarette smoke lingering over the patron's heads at the bar with a pungent Marlboro odor, which led to strike two with more unneeded disappointment. Tonight my friends meant for dinner together, it was 11 of us. I ordered Wedge Salad picture posted, it wasn't easy to eat, cause to me this isn't a wedge just bowl filled with Iceberg Lettuce with tomatoes and very hard to slice cause half would be on the table. I eaten Wedge at other place, it was wedge. Another member ordered a Pizza, we received our food, paid the check and over hour for him to get his pizza. We laughed cause family 5 sat down ordered a pizza, and paid and left and his pizza wasn't even on his table, and management new this you would think they would want us to return would comp him since we all waited till he ate his pizza. I was on a trip through south Florida coming back from the Bahamas and went with friends to this place. I was really quite pleasantly surprised by the pizza we ordered it came out as ordered and absolutely delicious! Best pizza I have had a long time. Service was amazing, I can't remember the woman's name that she was from Colombia and just had the best smile and perfect timing. Never let us sit for very long without checking. It was a cool South Florida night but they had a band on the back the bluefin band and they were just terrific, so I would have to give the ambience an excellent as well I will definitely be back here. Last night my husband and 12 friends went to Luv n Oven. We ago many times on 1st Friday of month for Live music with Maria Doty and Bootleg We sat at Hightop tables to have great view of the band and to have our favorite server, Heidi. Heidi is very attentive, and always friendly. The food is always delicious. I love their pizza and garlic rolls, tacos and chicken strips. Last night I had delicious Buffalo Chicken Strips Salad with blue cheese dressing. My husband loves the Philly Cheeseteak Sandwich and potato salad. We came to see the band of a buddy. It took us 30 minutes to get a glass of water. We ordered the garlic rolls which were vets good, and we told our waitress we would like to order dinner, and she said she'd be back to take our order. 45 minutes later she came back and we tabbed out. She asked if something was wrong and we said no we just are going to go get something to eat. It took the lady next to us 35 minutes to get her drink. Was here for dinner & drinks while listening to our friends band Rough Shot. We sat at the outside bar & had a great time. They have a very interesting menu. Our bartender was great & attentive. Drinks were perfect for us. The food we ordered was more of the bar type food and it was really great. I had buffalo shrimp. Very plentiful with like 10 or 12 large size. I order hot and they did come out hot as requested with my blue cheese. I also had fried ravioli. Delicious with 12 on the plate of good size with a very good marinara sauce. We've eaten there several times now, and the staff is super friendly, accommodating and attentive. Tonight our waitress Sheri was a total doll. She checked on us plenty and had the sweetest demeanor. For dinner we took advantage of the "Wednesday Italian Night" special and ordered a Chicken Parmesan and medium cheese pizza ($11.99 each). While we waited, we enjoyed the most delicious garlic rolls that Sheri brought over. The pizza was crisp and perfectly cooked, and the parm was just like my mama made. This is a nice local spot in Sunrise. Huge outdoor patio area, seating by the indoor bar and seating inside. I have ordered from Luv'n Oven via Uber Eats before. Had the pizzas and meatballs. This time, I went and dined in. Tons of TV's on the walls and quite often a band plays there. I enjoyed the Jumbo Pretzel. Really friendly service and an atmosphere of friendly locals. This is the third restaurant in this location, but my family and I decided to give it a shot since it's so close to our house. Most everything about our experience here fell between mediocre and decent. We ordered a 10 inch cheese pizza, which was decent, not fantastic, but not bad. Our kids enjoyed it. We also ordered 10 unbreaded wings, which were fine, though not saucy enough for me. My husband ordered a special with chicken, mashed potatoes, and fried onion sticks on top, which tasted fine but wasn't hot enough. Side salad was okay. Honestly the best part of our meal was the basket of curly fries that came out super hot and fresh. The issue we had was service and timing. They forgot to bring the side salad out early so that came out only two minutes before our meal. My husband's food wasn't hot enough. My wings were breaded instead of unbreaded though they did replace though for me pretty quickly. But they also forgot our basket of fries so that came out about 10 minutes after everything else. I will say the manager did try and fix the issues as quickly as he could. I don't know that we would make an effort to come back here though. read more

Okay food but lackluster experience - after visiting for lunch with my mother, I gotta say, I'm just not impressed. The staff seemed really rushed and distracted, even though there were only maybe 6 other tables with customers. My mother's lemonade was extremely watered down, and they had to bring a new one after replacing the syrup in the machine. They got our orders wrong too. We were brought plates of tacos instead of the wraps we had ordered, so we had to request that they remake our food. Nobody seemed particularly friendly, and our waiter literally refused to address me directly even once, only looking at my mother when he came to our table even if I was speaking - not sure what THAT was about. General ambiance here is nothing to write home about. No place settings were brought to us (just a roll of paper towels on the table), and there was really obnoxious country music playing just loud enough to make conversation difficult. Given the tons of TVs they had on the walls it might be an acceptable place to watch a sporting event, but not for a casual lunch. The food itself was just okay. I ordered the cilantro lime shrimp wrap lunch special, and my mother got the chicken version. The overall meal portion was good (filling but not overwhelming), but both wraps were lacking in meat. I was also annoyed that they hadn't clearly listed on the menu that the onions inside were red onions - if I'd known, I would have asked for them to be left off. The fries were the best part of the plate in my opinion. I've definitely eaten worse, but I could have made a better version of this dish myself at home. read more

If you grew up in and around Davie/Cooper City, you know Luv'n Oven and probably ate a fair amount of it growing up. I lived just over the border in Plantation without one close enough to frequent, but that's changed with this location in Sunrise, and on my last two visits we had a chance to enjoy this pizza. This location has the vibe you'd expect from an "Ale House", in fact, it's quite similar to Miller's on University. Wood paneling, dim lighting, large bar area, beer and spirits memorabilia and lighted signage all around, booth seating with some tables mixed in, etc. It's a little bar like for me, but every table was full with smiling faces, so you do you. Now onto the pizza. Pretty solid! Dough tastes scratch made, toppings are generous and fresh, and they use a lot of cheese and a decent sauce. They do cook up to a nice doneness, though I'd like it to be crispier when ordered extra crispy. It always seems to be a bit wet for my liking, but the flavor is there for sure. This last time we ordered some wings and those were kind of disappointing. Fried up nice and crispy, but they are on the smaller side and the sauces aren't really anything special. Basic hot wing sauce and the special sauce was like a French/Catalina dressing. Maybe these are better at the restaurant. Salads are also fresh and generous too! We got the antipasto for 2 and it was enough salad to share with four adults as a side! All in all, a good neighborhood pizzeria. I was in the area and decided to stop for a quick lunch before going into Doris Market. I have never been to a Luv'n Oven Ale House before. It was clean and mostly empty as it was 11:45 am on a weekday. I was greeted quickly and my server was very personable. She gave me the lunch specials in addition to the regular menu. I decided on the slice of cheese pizza, and choice of soup or salad for $6.99. I opted for the pasta fagioli soup. I asked about the shrimp "special" which was 5 "jumbo" shrimp (grilled, blackened or fried) for $3.99. She was quick to say they were not jumbo shrimp (which are 6-8 per lb),so I was not expecting that at all. But I ordered them grilled. The pasta fagioli soup was ok, but had way to much bacon in it. The bacon overpowered the beans and pasta. It was also very salty and I did not finish it. The cheese pizza was a large slice, but not very flavorful. However for $6.99 I was not expecting much. I was disappointed with the shrimp. They were quite small and may have been cooked on a grill but they appeared sautéed briefly based on the sauce underneath with a very salty seasoning. Would I stop in again and get something else? Sure - but not that particular lunch special. read more

Had dinner, the server forgot our drinks and only remembered when she brought our food, and brought the wrong drinks. My partner ordered a Mahi Mahi wrap. It wasn't until the second bite, she noticed it tasted and looked like SHRIMP.! It WAS shrimp! There was NO mahi in it. Yes, she has a shrimp allergy! It is NOT on the printed menu, nor was it told to us, and when we told the server, she just took it off the table without saying a word. She finally came back and apologized, never asking if she wanted something different. Then she said she would take it off the bill. It took forever to get the check, it turns out, the server had ordered another one for my partner without asking if we wanted it. (we didnt). Finally the manager came by. He was wearing SHORTS in the kitchen and CROCS with no socks. (May as well have been barefoot!!) SO unsanitary. Again with multiple apologies. Later in the evening, my partner was experiencing symptoms of the shrimp allergy. We'll see how it goes. Hopefully, she won't need to go to the Hospital. Just a terrible experience. read more
