Immediately upon entering I was very happily greeted by the bartender and was told to sit anywhere I'd like. I then was greeted by the nicest lady ever! She may have been the manager... Super nice! Reminded me of that southern charm you see at restaurants in those northern states. When the menu arrived, I noticed they had a summer value menu and from there I selected the Legendary Smashburger which was only $12 and it came with a side AND drink!! One of my friends told me about this place and invited me to join him on a Tuesday for half price wings. Let me tell you, this is a wonderful place. To start with, they have wings. I love wings. And their wings are big and meaty, just the way I like them. I always get them with the mango habanera sauce (which I might have spelled wrong, but you get the idea). They have the greatest flavor and just a touch of spicy heat. Not overpowering and always a hit. I get the 12 piece, because that's just me but if you can't eat that much, they also have 8 pieces. To get the half price you have to pair it with a drink, but it does not have to be alcoholic. I always get the iced tea. They have a southern sweet tea that really isn't too sweet. They also have unsweetened. My friend gets a beer and we have a great time. Also, you can go to their website and sign up for their rewards, but it doesn't work very well. It's supposed to give you one point for every dollar you spend and when you reach one hundred points, you get ten dollars off. I've been there three times now and I have yet to get any points other than the 25 you get when you first sign up. I told the server about that this evening and she told the manager and they took down my information and are sending it to their corporate office to get me my lost points. I'll have to add to this review at another time and let you know how that worked out. But my friend's account works fine, so I'm guessing it's something they can fix. They also do a half price burger night, which I want to try soon. Oh, and they play sports on a hundred different giant screens, but no one was paying any attention. Me and my wife visited this location yesterday and we were always curious to go there since they're close to our house we got in. We were received very nicely and sat in the bar. The bartender was very nice and took our orders promptly. I did ordered a bloody Mary and in my opinion, they could have done better with it. Just a plain bloody Mary mix with vodka, no olives added or the celery. My wife ordered a old-fashioned that came out good she had no complaints. We ordered our dinner and the food came out pretty fast. I ordered some wings and they were pretty good and she ordered a burger and it was good as well. Honestly one of the best burgers I have had was from this place. We came with a few friends and were surprised that it was pretty empty for a Saturday night but that didn't stop us from still eating here. I decided to get a cheese burger and let me say this thing was massive! What was even better was even though I got it well done, it was still juicy beyond belief! The flavor was amazing and the meat was seasoned perfect for me. I got it with American cheese on top and the cheese was melted perfect and had the best flavor balance with the meat and other toppings. I got fries as a side and they were salted to perfection and the crisp they had was wonderful as well! I only wish I had more of them so I can love them longer. My husband got the black and bleu burger and I took a bit and loved his as well, the bleu cheese was melted wonderfully and super creamy! Came here for lunch today with a coworker of mine and I certainly was not disappointed. I ordered a kids grilled cheese - only because I didn't want the pot roast grilled cheese so the waitress offered me the kids grilled cheese, with sweet potato fries and a French onion soup, he ordered the bacon bleu burger. Everything was absolutely yummy . Best thing is they actually had Pepsi lol. I'm from NY where we have Pepsi in every restaurant and store and moving here to south florida I quickly realized everyone drinks coke. Legends is a sport bar with good food that has grown on me over the years. I have visited here plenty of time to know that the service and food are consistently good. What I love most is they have seasonal specials, happy hour and daily specials. Wednesday is the whiskey specials night. If you like whiskey, come check it out. Legends has a full bar, a decent menu including vegan options, and plenty of seating in the restaurant and the bar. I have been here both for dinner, happy hour and on special nights. In the 30 or so times I've been here the service has been great, except for my first visit. Over the years Legends has really grown on me. Daily special on Monday's is the Legendary Burger! It is what I use to judge other burgers and very few are as good. Service is always great and they play a wide variety of sports on the numerous TVs. It's a local spot but very welcome to out of town guest. Definitely should be on the to-do list. I live right by this place and never went for some reason. I decided to go today with my 15 yr old and 6 yr old . The food is AMAZING and my waitress was super nice and helpful. We got the corn nuggets with honey butter, the onion shoestrings, the Fig and Goat cheese burger and the blue cheese and bacon burger. The burgers were 10/10 and I'm picky with this stuff. This commentary is directed towards the Legends Tavern in Sunrise, Fl. i've been living in Sunrise since 2004. This location used to be a Pizza Hut and the a Beef O'Brady's. I believe legends has been here 15 or so years. The ONLY things I was ever dissatisfied with all these years were the acoustics. You could barely hear yourself speak most nights. The bar was always fully occupied and there was always a hostess at the entrance to seat you. My g/f and two cousins joined me for dinner last night. We got there at 5:50 and the place was virtually empty. No hostess. We waited several minutes and then decided to seat ourselves. The table we WANTED was still uncleaned so I went to look for someone. NO ONEWAS VISIBLE. I asked a guy where the register was and he looked puzzled. So I said to him, "Maybe if I open the register, SOMEONE might come out." Just after that THE ONLY server in the restaurant came out and I asked him if he could clean the table we chose. THE PLACE WAS EMPTY and he questioned me as to why I couldn't sit at another table. REALLY? We had our reasons andit wasn't for him to question it, especially since you could hear a pin drop WITH all the TV's going. I then mentioned to him that happy hour ended at 6:00 and we'd gotten there before that time. Again, he's giving me attitude and explaining that it's after 6:00 and he can't honor the fact that we'd have been seated in time if the table was clean and there was someone on the floor to clean it. He asked what we wanted to drink and we all said water. At least 2 of us were in the mood for a beer but I was now annoyed and decided not to pad the bill or tip. My g/f ordered a burger rare. She is recovering from 2 serious oral cancer surgeries since last May and eating is still a challenge for her. WhenI asked Peter if he could cut it into quarters he was visibly annoyed. Me, a quesadilla. My couisns', the French Dip and a burger. My g/f also requested the fries be well done. When the food came, the burger was barely cooked and looked raw. The fries were mushy soft. When I bit into my quesadilla, it felt really thin. I peeled back the tortilla and there was virtually nothing in it. The other 3 pieces were full. It had no taste whatsoever and the accompanying salsa (or pico) was disgusting. Glad I tasted it before I put it on my food. So we call Peter (the server) back. I complain about the quesadilla and he says,"We can't remake one section of it." So I suggest to just cook up some of the inside stuff and I WILL add it to the naked tortilla. He leaves and the manager comes back, He says he'll make a small batch as I requested and thenI tell him about the burger. At this point the managers' attitudes is also visibly negative. I basically lost my appetite and decided I bring my quesadilla home and "fix it up" to make somewhat enjoyable. My g/f lost her desire to eat as well. I asked for 2 boxes. When packing the burger I notice the bottom half of 2 of the 3 burger pieces are missing the buns, I again ask for the manager. Upon telling him, he challenges me and says he recooked it himself and there was bun underneath. I say to him,"do you actually believe I would bring this up if it weren't true? He says, "Actually, yes." Then I tell him that this is the first time I've ever seen this place so empty. Especially on a Saturday night AND following an early Florida Panthers game. The arena is a couple of miles west. 3 fans straggled in while we were about to leave. His excuse for it being empty was that it was cold outside. Just a mile south as we drove past Luv'n Oven we noticed it was packed and full up on the outside table area. Yeah, too cold. BTW, the French dip was not up to par as it had always been. Just before we were leaving, my cousin whom is a stroke victim and has lost all function on the right side of his body accidentally knocked over a glass of water. A pleasant young man came to clean up, but when we got up, there was still water all over the floor. My g/f wears a "fall risk; bracelet, and both my cousins are greatly disabled stroke victims. We had to exercise great caution in order to ensure no one slipped and fell. I will NEVER to return to this once fun location. In my opinion both our server AND the manager are not fit for the jobs the are trying to do. read more

Took the kids here yesterday for lunch. Our server was friendly and attentive. We ordered the mozzarella sticks which were good. I thought the clam chowder (from their extra winter menu) was just a tad too salty but otherwise very good. Philly cheesesteak was really great. My kids got cheeseburger and chicken tenders and no complaints there. Overall it's a nice spot for standard bar and grill type foods. At some point during our visit, the grill stopped working and they could only serve soups, cold salads, or fried foods. Thankfully our orders weren't affected! This is a very cool establishment. This was my first time going and I was very impressed. It's a lively place, especially on game day, you can tell they have a lot of regulars that come through. It was fun! The drinks are delicious! I ordered a Strawberry Whitney, and I highly recommend it. I also ordered lemon pepper wings and shoestring fries which were excellent, and my children ate all of their kids meals. The only cons I would say is that the restaurant is very cold, so bring a jacket if that's an issue, and our order wasn't completely correct. The wait staff was pretty busy, so it took a while for us to place our order, but the lady that did take our order was very friendly, she was a joy. My husband and I went there the other night and while eating my coleslaw, I found (the tag to their floor "mop head") in my coleslaw. After telling the waiter, he apologized & took my meal of the bill. I called the manager about this and he was very rude and almost insinuated I put the tag in my food. He brushed it off like it was no big deal. (A FLOOR "MOP HEAD" TAG) in my coleslaw. Before we left we went to the bar area and paid for the remaining of our tab and his wife was the person who took care of us and she too was rude and condescending.
