Decided to pop in here with some friends at lunchtime on a Saturday after seeing a viral TikTok video with some crazy Sicilian pizza that looked really good. Owner/manager/whoever took us to our table. He was very cold and unfriendly. This was at 1:30 on a Saturday. There were maybe three tables occupied. Our waitress finally came over and she told us that she just started. OK fine no problem. Couldn't seem to understand that we wanted Coke zero and kept bringing out cans of coke. The appetizers finally came. The rice balls and the meatballs something. The rice balls were OK. The meatballs were cold, but we were hungry so we had a bite or two. We ordered these off of the small bites/happy hour menu. We ordered the lunch white pizza and the meat pizza. They were just dropped off. The pizzas were fair. Nothing to write home about. When our waitress came back, we told her that the meatballs were ice cold and she asked if we wanted anything else and we said no. Asked for the check and left. My mistake was not checking the bill before we left. We just wanted to get out of there. We were charged full price for the appetizers when they were on the small bites menu and quite frankly, the meatballs should have been taken off. Live and learn. I wish them all the best. Maybe they were just having an off day, but I would not return. The bill for all this was over $80. So not worth it. I'll keep going to Sicilian Oven. read more

My mom and I LOVE this place. Juliana provided AMAZING service and the expresso martinis were fantastic. My mom always raved about this restaurant, especially their happy hour (total steal on drinks and appetizers), I tried it for myself tonight and it is hands down the best pasta I've had yet here in Florida. A pleasant surprise stop when a chicken Parmesan craving hit! I usually don't crave Italian food only chicken Parmesan and Esposito filled that craving for me. I ordered the original platter, subbing the spaghetti and red sauce with penne à la vodka. The olive vodka sauce is rich, creamy, flavorful just the way I like it. It's a nice date night spot that's not too fancy. They have dim light lighting inside a spacious without a tables as well as a bar. We only tried these two chicken Parm variation, many items and we enjoyed both and will be returning. By the name alone I wouldn't have known that this was an Italian restaurant. Apparently they've been around for about 20 years or so can't believe I just noticed them. We were greeted warmly upon entering, and the staff was kind with good suggestions. Went with a few friends who are regulars here. This was our first time although this place apparently has been here for 20 years. They have HH every day from 11-7. The mozzarella sticks were really good. I love fiocchi and it was pretty good- a generous amount of sauce with a hint of gorgonzola cheese. The pizza had a perfect crust and nice flavor. The rolls were crusty on the outside and nice and warm and soft inside . I'm a garlic roll girl so I missed the garlic but they were good regardless. Extremely dense vehicular and pedestrian traffic along South University Drive with a simply entrance to the Promenade West plaza. Sometimes the parking is an issue but pre-rush hour its a breeze. Beautifully designed old southern decor with the thick wood block tables and the soft lighting provided an instant feeling of warmth and welcoming atmosphere. They took my simple order of a slice of NY style cheese pizza for $4.75, which is an upper tier price, so I anticipated a great memorable experience. The lone slice was placed into to an Esposito's labeled black and white box with a statement of "thanks for your order" stamped under their proud name. Took a quick peek and pic of the glistening slice before taking a seat on their covered patio. As a pizza freak, with just the visual alone, I could tell that it was going to be a treat. The cut out slice was mid-upper sized and was not overly saucey. The undercarriage was lightly charred with a firm base and crunchy cornicione. Very happy with the taste of the slice which proved to be an easy 8.6/10. Three eateries near each other and no fixed garbage cans in sight which was strange, although may be a plaza management issue out of the control of Espositos. Took my empty box and napkins with me to dispose elseware. Will return with the wife for a full pizza, wings and signature cocktails during their Happy Hour, which is offered everyday from 3p - 7p. read more

Once again, we are on our search for the BEST Happy Hour deals, and Esposito's is a GEM! Fair price, and a diverse menu are appealing! $4 wines and a dandy $9 Old Fashioned shined at Happy Hour. Love this local gem! My partner and I would call ourselves regulars at this point. They have the best calamari in town, great pizza and salad. Pasta dishes are also incredible in both taste and portion size. The staff is friendly and the restaurant is always clean. They're also available on uber eats and have a few items that are exclusive for mobile orders, like their chicken parm sub. The bread is incredible! 3 stars because the food was good, but the service from the bartender was rude enough to bring the whole experience down. I asked her if she could grab my order, and instead of acknowledging me or saying she was busy, she just walked away to help someone at the bar. I stood there waiting after already asking for help, and then someone from a table walked up to the bar and she immediately started helping them while still completely ignoring me. Picking up food to go, and I was told 5 mins more until the order was ready. 10 mins had passed and I asked again. The disgruntled look as if I was bothering them and I was not the customer. I then decided to leave, as there was no apology for it taking long. From neither the host nor the person that was doing the pizzas which was the item I was waiting on. This Italian place is such an underrated spot in Davie. We stumbled upon it while in the plaza for Jade tea and it didn't look like much on the outside. The inside of the restaurant has a sophisticated environment and the staff is very professional. The pizza tasted like pizza I've had in Italy and I've never said that about a place in the Untied states. I hate eating crab cake but I had to try some of my husbands and this crab cake was so unique. It comes crispy and has peppers inside which gives it an entirely different flavor. They have a happy hour menu from 4-7 pm where you can get 10 inch pizzas for around $13 which is insane considering how tasty these pizzas are. I can't wait to come back and try more apps, pasta, and dessert from this place. We really wanted the Oreo cheesecake but we were so full by the time we go to dessert. read more

Ok first time visit. I think because it was the day they were having a grand reopening for the plaza. Food was good. I had shrimp scampi. Not what I was used to. The flavors were ok. I am used to grilled shrimp with seasoning. All I could taste was the sliced garlic. I had to add salt and pepper which I rarely ever do. Garlic rolls were good. Just like I like them. I've live in plantation for 10 years, and I have ordered from them before; however, tasting the pizza fresh out of the oven was from another world. It's located in a plaza so parking is easy. We ordered: Supreme, Hawaiian, and the works pizza (added mushrooms) We were 4 and finished the four pizzas having no appetizer perfectly. Our server was Carissa, very nice and on point with anything we needed. Pizzas came out around 20 min After ordering. I had a funky Buddha Floridian to drink. We ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken, and the chicken was extremely tough and almost impossible to eat. It was honestly the worst chicken we've had at a restaurant. When we informed the waiter, she had a bit of an attitude and didn't seem very concerned. The manager only removed the chicken from the bill, which didn't really solve the problem because we still had to sit there picking the tough chicken out of the pasta just to eat the dish. Considering the inconvenience, the entire plate should have been removed. This was our first time trying this restaurant, and unfortunately it will be our last. We were in the mood for pizza and this place seemed like a cool spot on IG. I def was expecting more of a sports bar vibe which it was def not. It was more upscale than I expected. Our server was amazing very welcoming and helpful on what to order. The food and drinks were ok. We had pizza a main dish and what we though was an app but turned out to be charged as a meal. I found out about this through a promotion and took a friend. I really was expecting sub par but was pleasantly surprised, not just by the food but by the service also. The vegetarian pizza was just what I like, coal fired and thin. You can also choose New York style. Plenty of parking because it's located in a small stip mall. Pretty much in the center of everything at 595 and University. Very nice inside and clean and again the service was very, very good. Prices are a bit higher than normal but the quality is there. Unfortunately Fired Up was closed so the calls were forwarded to this location. If you have read any of my pizza reviews, you would know I am a pizza snob and am particular about my pizza. I usually like my pizza plain, thin, crispy, and orange looking lol. I was interested in this place due to the Yelp photos matching what I look for. Since we were quarantined, we chose take out. We called to place the order and opted to pick it up since it is not far from home. We were told about 20 minutes. They picked up quickly and placing the order was easy. Hubs went to pick up the pizza and bring it home. The pizza was fresh and hot when it arrived home. The pizza was not to my perfect standards but it was pretty good. Appetizer...OMG little purses of deliciousness...Fiocchi...ricotta, gorgonzola, pears...so evil and good. Dinner - shared a prosciutto mozzarella and arugula coal fired pizza. Wonderful setting for relaxed dining. The lighting is dim and the tables are spaced apart nicely offering comfort and peace. Esposito's came highly recommended and I am definitely glad to have taken the suggestion. While our group decided to share a Margherita Pizza, I decided to begin with an arugula salad. The salad was nearing excellence. The dressing was light, tangy, and didn't create a drenching of the greens. The apples were DELICIOUS! They were so fresh and crisp. The star of the salad actually. I wish they would have included more of them on the plate. The cheese was great but offered in excess. The ratio of cheese to apples could've been better controlled but it was solid. I would order again for sure and make that request. Now, what was really impressive was the pizza! This is coming from a former New York/New Jersey resident aka a pizza snob. I was apprehensive at first seeing that the most recent reviews of this place did not have great star ratings but it was so close to us that we took the chance. Came here on a Friday night and it was pretty quiet. No one else seated except for us. Later on throughout the night more people came. My husband and I came with our two kids. We ordered a the mussels as an appetizer, supreme pizza to share, i got the Maine lobster ravioli from to share with the kids and my husband got the chicken Francese. The food was delicious and service was quick and prompt. Everything we ordered was cooked well and with lots of flavour-No complaints. Tiramisu for dessert was amazing. The ONLY downside to our experience was in the way we were asked for payment. It wasn't the "I'll leave your check here and you can pay when you're ready" type of thing. The server came and announced our bill loud enough for others to hear and handed me the machine right there and then as we were still eating. It almost felt like we were being pushed to finish quickly and leave. We would probably return again as this place is so far the best Italian food we have had in the area but I highly ask that they revisit the way they ask for payment at the end of a meal. read more
