Their stylist Claire also stated this is not the first time their schedules have been overloaded. I made an appointment for 5 girls to get blowouts. The last one beginning at 530 They completed the first 2 at 5:30. Claire then stated "the salon is a chain and they are not allowed to be open later than 6" So at that point they did not have time for the remaining 3 blowouts. I then received a text from the owner stating I would be charged regardless even though her own staff stated they were not allowed to remain after hours. When I called to dicsuss what happened she proceeded to just speak over me to the point I had to text her. Would give 0 stars if I could.

I had surgery about a year ago and knew I was going to be unable to wash my own hair the week afterwards, so I decided to book an appointment here. First, my stylist wasn't there on time. About 10 minutes into me waiting, the girl at the front desk called my stylist to make sure that she was on her way for our appointment. When my stylist finally got there, she gave the girl attitude for calling to check on her and basically told her that she didn't need to call because if she didn't say she wasn't coming, she was coming... she was 20 minutes late by the time she got there. I'd be concerned if someone wasn't there for their appointment, too. Anyway. Luckily, I wasn't in a rush and was just happy to be having my hair blown out. Once my appointment finally started, the girl bashed the other girl to me and gossiped and complained about the other employees that worked there. I was very uncomfortable and just tried to kind of nod and smile and change the topic because how unprofessional. She then asked me why I was getting a blowout, and I was honest and told her I had surgery and didn't want to have my boyfriend or a family member wash my hair, so I'd decided to just book an appointment. She then proceeded to ask me prying questions about what kind of surgery I was having and why I was having it. Just too far. You don't ask that. If someone wants to tell you what kind of surgery they're having, they'll tell you. All that just for the service to not be good. She kept blasting super hot hair on my roots for long periods that burned extremely badly and actually FRIED my hair. Like literally left damage on my hair. My hair was frizzy at the root even after washing until a month later. It left my baby and new hairs visibly fried. My blowout was overwhelmingly mediocre and, honestly, painful, and I could have done a much better job myself had I been able to do my own hair at the time. I had really hoped that this would be a nice experience given my circumstances at the time and thought it would be a nice pick me up. I thought wrong. Won't be back.

On a recent search, Kammi's place popped up. Her studio is near where I live. The combination of reviews, Instagram pictures and proximity convinced me to give her a try over one of the two spots I bookmarked. I initially scheduled a consultation/haircut. I'm Asian and my hair is naturally black. It was almost at my waist and had 1.5-year-old balayage that was a brassy orange on the bottom half. Kammi was welcoming and looked at a picture I brought in (#4 in my pic). I explained it was something I was inspired by because the blonde tone was not brassy nor that yellow/orange color that Asian hair gets when bleached. But I also told Kammi that if she felt this blonde tone didn't go with my skin tone, she should do a different blonde. The most important thing was that my hair was not brassy nor yellow/orange. Kammi said she wanted to do a blonde with a lavender undertone. I was intrigued and excited. Kammi's haircut was efficient. I wanted to take a good 5-6 inches off my length in a straight cut and add some long layers (comparable to #4). She completed most of it while my hair was still dry. Then, she washed and styled my hair (#1 in my pic). It was $63. When scheduling the appointment, Kammi said she could do the color in one or two sittings, whatever I wanted. Of course, no one would choose to come twice for the same result! I came in the next day for my appointment, the last of her day. She was running late because her first appointment was late and it created a domino effect. She was nice enough to let me know about 10 minutes prior to my appointment time. I had just parked so I opted to sit in the chairs by the entrance. She called me back to her studio 20 minutes after my scheduled time. She just finished up a client and had another client waiting with dye in her hair. Kammi said she was going to put the balayage foils in my hair and then finish the other client's hair. When Kammi rinsed, dried and styled my hair, it was definitely lightened. I wanted to get home to see it up close. The initial color was a bit darker than I expected and because I was told "lavendar blonde" I convinced myself I could see it. But after a single wash, my hair looked very yellow/orange with no hint of lavender blonde (#2 in my pic). I also noticed that there were lots of issues with the coloring - spotty color, sections of hair that went from light to dark to light, and some sections that went from my natural hair color to yellow and then to orange at the ends. My friends know I have a hard time speaking up in a restaurant when a waiter asks, "How is everything?" Unless I've been given the wrong dish, I tend to assume the chef intended the dish to be that way. With no indication from Kammi, I assumed this result was what she intended. So, I eventually got the courage to write to Kammi to let her know about my hair. Kammi was immediately responsive and willing to fix my hair for me. We set up a time and she made sure she blocked more time so she wasn't rushed and could get it right. I was running late and let Kammi know I was going to be about 15 minutes late. When I got there, she still had 5-10 minutes left with a client so the timing worked out perfectly. Kammi said she could immediately see all the issues I raised. I felt comforted that I wasn't imagining things. She proceeded to put in the balayage foils, this time starting from the front so they would lighten more than the back. While my hair was soaked with the toner/gloss, she worked on her next client. Again, the timing worked out because her next client arrived just after Kammi applied the toner/gloss. Though noticeably lighter, Kammi said she could still see warmth in my hair (#3 in my pic). She told me that if I wanted another round of the toner/gloss, I should come back in a few weeks or try a purple shampoo for blonde hair. I opted for the latter. In the end, though I'm not 100% satisfied with my hair and the lengths it took to get to where it is, Kammi's dedication to her client's satisfaction definitely left a positive impression on me. Unfortunately, Kammi's lack of experience with hair like mine and quality issues make me hesitant to return or recommend her to others.

When we walked in 5-10 mins early for our appt, no one was at the front desk and it was silent. It's decorated beautifully inside, but for sure aimed towards tourists. We were offered champagne, soda or water for the waiting room. We sat in the waiting room for about 10 mins, which was 10 mins after our appointment start. We moved into the room, which was adjoined with the person I was with. I wound have liked if they would have asked us if we were okay with this before hand. Room was decorated very cute & very nashville, but again, more tourist attraction style which is totally fine, just something I noticed. The bed is not heated, but they give you enough blankets (which they don't wash in between clients). I just have to say one thing, the pressure was NOT enough. At one point I wasn't even sure if she was touching my head. I completely agree with the reviewer beige me on all her points. The water kept changing temperatures, the fan of the water was barely used, she used the head of the water more like when you get a shampoo for a haircut more. But I can't get past how much it felt like the girl could not care less about what she was doing. My guest and I both had different girls and we both said the same thing, where was the pressure? She also didn't walk me Through any of the products so it could have been like 5 shampoos in a row for all I know. My scalp pretty much felt the same when I came in. I've been to other head spas before which were so much more in depth and like way less of the price which included a facial massage and a neck massage. For $170 you should be including a blow dry and or neck massage and some pressure to the scalp massage since that's literally what we are there for. I would not go back unless they read their reviews and changed some things up. This was disappointing. FYI: Parking is not validated fyi
