My wife and I had our wedding and reception at the amazing Willow Heights Mansion this past summer. As part of WHM's event venue package, they require that you work with their in-house (i.e., Frank Léal-owned) decorating service, Luxe Design & Decor. We wanted to minimize our planning efforts and reduce the number of vendors we'd need to hire, so this was a win-win for us. Working with Luxe was a great experience from beginning to end. We had an initial consultation with Savannah and quickly settled on a theme, table settings, chairs, etc. They had a wide selection from which to choose, and we definitely felt like we had many great options without being overwhelmed by choice. We later went to Luxe's new space in downtown Morgan Hill where we viewed a mocked up table set with all of our selections--this made it so easy to visualize what we were going to get on the day of the wedding. We made a few adjustments and Savannah simply grabbed the new items from storage. We quickly settled on the final design and pricing. Overall, working with Luxe was a breeze and Savannah is a real pro. She made helpful suggestions based on our preferences but ultimately we were in the driver's seat. Had no idea what this place was...but was walking by and checked it out and WOW. First, I had no idea what a flower bar was, but I saw the espresso machine and was hooked. Holly was amazing. I had a great drink and their desserts are the best in town. I did not realize they had the whole building, not just the corner. They have champagne and one of only 2 champagne vending machines in California (the other two are in LA and SF), which was super cool. It is actually a fully functioning florist too and you can make your own bouquet and they do events, floral arrangements etc. They have a lot of neat stuff inside and you can rent the place out. It smells great too. Really worth a visit. Stop by, have a nice drink, enjoy a sweet snack, and take in the view. read more

Bravo to the Luxe Design & Decor team. We celebrated our daughter's wedding at Leal's Vineyard venue in Hollister. We secured the entire property and decided to include almost every area in the wedding day to ensure our guests were able to see "it all"! (which means, there were a lot of areas to design and decorate) As a retired wedding and event planner, it was very difficult for me to hand off and let go ALL of our plans to someone else but as the mother of the bride, I had no choice. We gave them an incredible amount of personal items to incorporate into the decor as well. I have to say, to my absolute surprise, they did everything, exactly as we asked, including a "family tree" area where we asked 100s of photos to be hung by ribbons (we provided), a "Love We Built" photo area, a traditional Mexican memorial area, a gelato cart to decorate (last minute DURING the reception) and a vintage VW Bug. Every single area was gorgeous and the personal flowers were beyond anything we could have hoped. A+ to Savannah and her team. After I checked in on progress for the 23d time, I was able to finally breathe, knowing my daughter's wedding was definitely in the right hands! I got married in April at Leal Vineyards and Deluxe Design Decor made our special day absolutely gorgeous! Deluxe Design Decor is the in-house design team and they care of all the design details, including flowers, center pieces, linens, and lighting. It was wonderful to work with a team that's experienced in designing at the venue - they take your vision and execute it beyond your expectations. I met with Olivia for the initial consultation and she was the lead designer for the wedding. I came in with a general idea of the look and colors I wanted for the wedding but with very little knowledge of the specific flowers. After reviewing some of my inspiration photos, she suggested certain flowers and colors that would be in season. We also walked through all the other elements of the design for the reception. From the chair cushions to a s'mores bar, they have all the details covered. (I would highly recommend the s'mores bar - it was a hit and all the guests loved it!) I communicated with Janine by email a lot leading up to the wedding as there were several last minute changes. She was always quick to respond, and I really appreciated that she was flexible and understanding. The team helped to make the planning process as stress-free as possible. My wedding bouquet turned out stunning! I wanted to incorporate a part of my mom's wedding veil into the bouquet (as my "something old") so we dropped it off a few days beforehand and Olivia worked it into the bouquet to make it really special and personal. All the flowers for the wedding party were beautiful and were the exact mix of colors that I envisioned. The Barrel Room was gorgeous on the day of our wedding. It is already amazing on its own but all the details, from the flower arrangements to the dramatic twinkle lighting on the barrels, created such a romantic and beautiful reception. Weddings are a stressful life event. Every bride has dreamed about their perfect wedding, probably since they were a little girl. It takes a very experienced and talented person to help create that perfect day. I can say wholeheartedly that Giselle of Deluxe Design Decor is that type of person. She makes dreams come true. Typically, most people plan their weddings for a year, but our wedding was booked only a few months before our big day. Giselle miraculously helped us design the most elegant, worthy of being featured on "The Knot" wedding at Willow Heights Mansion (where she is their in-house wedding planner/designer extraordinaire) in less than a month. She was such a pleasure to work with - always sweet, super responsive to my messages and accommodating to our hectic schedules. Being an event planner myself, it was a bit difficult for me to leave everything up to her to handle, but I honestly couldn't have done it better than her. Giselle has such a great eye for detail and aesthetics. You can tell her your vision, and she executes it beyond your expectations. On our big day, I was blown away by how absolutely gorgeous the mansion looked inside (even though it already looks beautiful without decor) and how it looked just like I had envisioned - but better. We were introduced to Giselle with Deluxe, Design, Decor when we secured The Barn (a Leal property) as our wedding venue. During our first meeting with Giselle, we were happy with her bubbly, welcoming demeanor. We showed her some images of our vision; which was simple and rustic. She heard us loud and clear and delivered beyond our expectation. From the bridal bouquets, to the ceremony and reception pieces and our sweetheart table, we were thoroughly pleased! We also had a mini bouquet for our 3 year old niece, who was the flower girl, that made us just melt. The only feedback I have is to be as patient as possible as Giselle is not always quick with her email communication. I found myself having to send follow up emails a few times before receiving a response. With that said though, I would highly recommend Giselle. My husband and I got married on November 11th at Sycamore Creek Vineyards, and they have a working relationship with Deluxe + Design + Decor. We did our initial consultation with Olivia, and she was absolutely fantastic. We had a pretty loose idea of what we were looking for, and she was incredibly patient and thoughtful as she helped us define what we wanted. Our second consultation was done by phone just to check in on seasonality and pricing. At the end of the conversation, we definitely felt like DDD had it completely under control. The pricing was fantastic, and I definitely felt like they were fair and honest in their communication about that. The main highlight of DDD's work was actually the arrangement on the arbor at Sycamore Creek, and it turned out absolutely stunning (pictures to come once we get them back from the photographer). The bouquets were also great, although a little more tightly bound than I had hoped for. The boutonnieres were 100% spot-on, and they even included a rose for my husband to hand to his mom after he walked down the aisle - such a sweet gesture. Run, fast and far. They will charge u for one and provide the cheaper alternative. It's hard to say anything once it's done, and what can u say on the day of your wedding than hold it in and smile through clenched teeth? From big to small, none of the flowers came out as agreed upon. 1) the bouquet looks nothing like the picture I provided, they used much cheaper flowers. I had asked the bouquet to be exactly as the photo but did not expect exactly of course, but not even using the same flowers or colors was truly a shock. I was charged the expensive flowers as well. 2) flowers for the arch for the ceremony was supposed to be all flowers and no green. There were bunch of greens. Again, very disappointed as I specified no greens. 3) again, centerpieces looked nothing like the photo I provided. I asked for no green and mostly white roses with small accents of pinkish/lavender roses. It had green buds all over and mostly pink roses as opposed to white. 4) paid for mirror vases and got clear vases. Granted it's only for rent it was still not what was agreed upon. 5) boutonnières looked absolute nothing like I provided. Again I asked to be exactly like photo. Not only different flowers were used, the flowers were so different from the photo that it didn't even come close to it. read more

From the start Guiselle was so helpful and easy to work with. We only had to meet 2 times and she was able to put together everything I wanted. I didn't have every detail figured out, mostly just a few pictures where I wanted only certain aspects of each. She was able to take the vision and turn it into reality. Everything about our wedding was gorgeous, from the flowers to the tables. We also got our DJ through DD+D, and Mario was fantastic. We met with him once before the wedding and he helped us with some ideas, he edited certain songs for us and overall added to making our wedding so great! I cried when I saw our flowers I was so enamored with them. I carried my bouquet with me on our honeymoon I was so in love with it. It's intimidating to pick out flowers and decor ahead of time having no idea how it will all come together. I think they have a great artistic eye and did a wonderful job putting it all together. The flowers we chose were not an obvious combination, and yet they were so beautiful. We did a cascade bouquet with roses being the central flower, and lots of soft colors with some pops of bright. I had my wedding at Willow Height Mansion on 10/11/14 and could not be happier with how amazing it turned out. I never visioned having a wedding but after hubby insisted on moving forward with one I had no clue what to do about flowers and such. I knew what type of colors I liked to have and what flowers i liked and didnt but that was it. I had a chat with Giselle and she ended up creating a fairytale wedding which i never even pictured. Giselle has great communication skills; she listens to you and provides feedback. She actually created what I could not verbalize!!! Every questions and concerns that i had was answered on a timely manner and she was a great emotional support for a super nervous and stressed out bride (yours truly). She went above and beyond for me and even included a type of flower that i really liked and was not in season. If you are after a great designer/florist who listens, cares and can create Giselle is your gem! She also has an amazing crew. DJ Ross rocked the night for us! He had to deal with a different type of schedule and play special ethnic music but not even once he frowned on all the extra steps he had to take! Samantha, the day of coordinator is a life saver. She is sweet yet super detailed and punctual. She creates an amazing day of Plan and does everything for you so the bride does not have to do much! We had a few difficult guests in our crowd however she just smiled the whole time and attended to everyone. I worked with DDD because my venue recommended them, and it turned out the price was comparable to other outside vendors. It made it an easy choice. Since Willow Heights works with Giselle a lot, it just made the most sense for all of us to go with GIselle. Giselle is nice to work with, and I had no problems until the day of the wedding. I don't know what happened with my requests of having martini shaped cocktail tables (by tying a ribbon around the tablecloth just under the table so that the skirt looks like a martini glass, and the fact that we paid for 100 guests because we had to pay deposit and final payment prior to final headcount, and were supposed to get reimbursed for the actual guest count (which ended up being less than 90 people), but I did not - and I just let it go. (and of course I haven't forgotten even though it's been 6 months! Honestly, I didn't have many requests so I was disappointed they missed on this detail. Maybe she wasn't on site that day and it was communicated? I have no idea. Maybe it's my fault for not putting it on my wedding coordinator's radar? On the flip side, I was happy to see my specific requests of a special napkin design - for a bow shape with a bling napkin ring pinching in the middle to make the perfect bow napkin. Giselle is absolutely amazing! If you have any reservations about working with her since she is the only florist available at Willow Heights, do not fear! She will make your ideas come to life and make them better than you could have imagined! I met with Giselle before I even booked at Willow Heights so I could get a better picture of overall price if we booked. She was more than happy to assist me and we set up a meeting for a day or two after my first contact with her. We sat down and she went through every detail and gave me a clear price estimate of what we wanted. This allowed me to really see if we could afford this venue and, thank God, we could!! My wedding was absolutely perfect and gorgeous, and this is in large part to Giselle. Let me preface this by saying that I looked through Giselle's portfolio and she does great work, so I knew she would do a great job with what I wanted. I only gave her two pictures: one of my "inspiration bouquet" and one of an idea of boutonnieres. I told her I wanted peonies in my bouquet and no where else. I allowed her free reign for my floral centerpieces. People would ask what kinds of flowers my centerpieces were going to be for our wedding and I would reply with an, "I don't know; I'm giving my florist full control of it." They thought I was absolutely crazy, but Giselle made me feel so comfortable with her designs that I never worried about the floral. Additionally, I wanted centerpieces that were ostrich feather plumes. Giselle loved the idea of the contrasting centerpieces and assured me it would be gorgeous. I was so nervous about stepping outside of the box for whether the two centerpieces would flow together or not (actually this was the thing I was most anxious about with the whole wedding). I voiced my worry to Giselle multiple times and she continued to assure me it was going to be beautiful, and it was better than I could have imagined!! I'm telling you, taking a risk and putting it in Giselle's hands made my wedding gorgeous. I couldn't have been happier with the result of my venue and the decor. Giselle is an absolute doll and so fun to work with, and she will take your dreams and make them even better!! read more
