I recently came with my friend to get our nails done. I got builder gel on my real nails and my friend got a full set. Before coming, I had already shaped my nails to look the way I wanted (almond shape) and then did a simple design on just the ring nails. I understand that cost of goods are increasing so prices have increased but they wanted to charge me for my nail shape because since I got builder gel, they have to reshape them after and the almond shape costs extra. I was able to dispute the charge but I just don't understand why filing my nails is not part of the cost of the job. They're usually pretty nice and the space is clean. read more

1.5 year update!!!! My partner and I have enjoyed our time as consistent customers. Every two weeks we faithfully saw Kevin for a full set or fill, Phillip for a basic gel pedicure, and Zen for a deluxe pedicure with a mini-mani. All three were wonderful each time we visited. Men listen up if you want a thorough and relaxing pedicure go to Zen. My partner liked her best! We tried one other and she blew her out of the park! Ladies, I know there are tons of nail techs that do amazing work but Kevin is hands down the absolute best! Consistently delivery every single time. Even during peak hours with back-to-back appointments he delivered. Perfect shape, no lifting, excellent application with minimal filing, you can't beat his work with a stick! And lastly Phillip, he is the mixologist for my pink acrylic for my pink and white ombre nails. But besides creating the perfect acrylic color, he gives the best pedicures! I recently moved to the area from Dallas and needed a nail salon. I came across Luxe while shopping in the complex and decided to check them up. I love the service, full bar and my mani and pedi's always last with no issues. I can literally go once a month and be fine! Prices are comparable to other nails salons in the in the area and in the city. My only issue... the times. This place closes so early. I'm used to nail salons in the city closes at 9pm at the latest. I can only go to this place on the weekends because they are closed by the time I get home from work. Annoying sometimes. read more

I was given a gift card by a family member to Luxe Nail Spa in Terrell because they weren't planning to use it. I went today because I have never been and I wanted to use the gift card ($100). They gave me my menu and I got a pedicure, manicure and an eye brow wax. Everything went well. The service itself was efficient and fine. I go to check out and hand them my gift card. They looked confused. They said they don't take that gift card. It clearly has their name and address on it. They said they have changed owners "a couple of times" since they sold those gift cards. I then proceeded to get into a heated argument about the fact that them changing owners shouldn't change what they honor. It has their name and address on it. When I asked them what they expect me to do, they said it would be $97 cash or card. But they REFUSED to honor the gift card with their name and address on it because they would "lose money" and that's not their gift. Needless to say I had to put myself in a bind coming up with money I didn't plan to spend on myself so they didn't "lose money". They said I need to call the owner who issued that gift card or something like that. Idk how that even made sense. Either way, I am in no position to tell anyone what to do, but I will never be back to this establishment no matter how good they do things. I can't deal with bad business practices. I'll go back to Hannah at 94 Nails where I can afford it the few times that I even get anything done. read more

I was very happy to be able to get an appointment time for 30 min after my call, as that was the length of my drive time (roughly). I wasn't as thrilled to wait almost 30 min to have someone start working on me - thus the four stars instead of five. Otherwise the service was great and no pushy add on sales tactics like some places do. I observed another patron with a complaint about her nails and they handled it gracefully and worked hard to fix the issue. I'd certainly go back and recommend to friends/family. read more

I made a same day appointment today at 11 am to get acrylic nails removed along with an organic manicure for the first time at this location. What a pleasant experience. Even with a salon full of customers, the manager, Jennie, jumped right into the grove and quickly assisted me with removing my nails. She patiently changed the nail removing solution four times, and in between each change she filed down the acrylic nails. I let her know I wanted to save my natural nails and Jennie was so attentive, I have beautiful natural nails! i had an appointment for mani/pedi and was seated in a rush. after being seated, the nail techs clearly were not ready for their customers. constant banging and moving of equipment around my pedi chair. they actually bumped my drink and spilled a bit of it. they continued to work around me making noise and talking in their fluent language. finally I was attended to many minutes later. i didn't care for the color on the first hand that was painted. tech refused to take it off without charging me. she refused to give me a French manicure as she said my nails were too short. i didn't not get the color or manicure I wanted as they appeared to be in too big of a rush! i won't go back!!! they ended up being rude and asking me what was wrong. what's w info is I came for a French manicure and you wouldn't do it. read more
