Stumbled into Beauty Nails because I was out shopping nearby and needed a mani/pedi. Everything went fine. They actually turned out beautiful. I was surprised though when I found out they charge $5 extra to shape your nails a certain way? Odd. But okay. I went with it. 2 days after my pedicure, huge blisters popped up around my toes on my left foot and I had an awful, painful rash. I couldn't wear shoes fowalk very well for that matter. Went to the doctor to find out I have a severe chemical burn and now am prescribed 3 different medications..... we are unsure of what exactly caused the burn but it definitely happened some time during my pedicure here...so I will definitely not be returning to say the least. I heard some good reviews on a Facebook page and decided to give them a try. I made an appointment at 1:30pm. At 1:45 I was seated for my pedicure (no water yet) A gentleman walked over and looked at my old nails and said "if you want that long we can't do for you" I thought that was really rude for the first thing they say to you. I explained how I wanted them shorter etc... started my pedicure around 2:20. My nails had acrylic all underneath and I kept asking the lady who is doing my nails to remove it but she kept ignoring me. WHATEVER YOU DO, DON'T GO HERE! Here's how my debacle unfolded... First off, let me preface my review by mentioning that I usually go to Apple Nails which always does a great job. It had been 2 months since my last pedicure so I decided to try this place cuz it was next door to Nothin' Bundt Cakes which I planned to visit afterwards. How I regret my decision! I arrived around mid-day during the week. There were only two other customers in the whole place. A youngish guy in his 20's was appointed to work on me. He made sure the water temp was to my liking and then asked what type of pedicure I wanted. So far so good. After he removed the old polish on my toes, he went straight to filing my nails without even asking if I wanted my nails trimmed. That should've thrown up a red flag but I didn't say anything. With the emory board, he daintily did a cursory swipe or two across each toe nail and quickly moved on to my cuticles. In other words, he didn't even FILE my toenails, he was just going through the motions! Same with the cuticle clippers. He was touching each of my toes pretending to be working on my cuticles but I never actually "felt" him clipping off any skin, even though he was going through the motions of wiping off the clippers on a towel! It still hadn't dawned on me what he was doing until he did the same exact thing with my manicure!! So then he starts working on my heels. He uses a little block scrubber with lotion and just barely scrubs the bottom of my heel before placing my foot back in the water. I said, "That's it? My heels are the worst part of my feet, they need more scrubbing." He reassured me by saying (in heavily accented English), "Oh, I'm not done, I'm going to go back and do it again." Then he started working on my other foot and then returned to repeat the process a second time with both feet. WTH? Who does that? By now, I'm having reservations about letting him do my manicure and seriously consider making up an excuse to leave, but I guess I'm not too bright. I stay. As he's working on my fingernails, again, he just barely, ever-so-gingerly, skims the top of my fingernails with the emory board. He didn't do jack-sh*t to them! Then he starts pretending to trim my cuticles. By the time he got to my 2nd hand, I asked, "Are you even snipping anything off my cuticles because it doesn't feel like it?" Pointing to my pinky he says, "Oh, this one doesn't need it but these others do" and at that time I could actually feel him clipping. The realization that I'm being played for a dummy hits me like a ton of bricks. While this is going on, I notice the customer across the way is getting the bottom of her feet scrubbed with one of those metal cheese grater thingies. I asked him straight up why he didn't use that on MY feet and he tells me that my feet didn't need that. I had to bite my tongue not to cry out B.S.!!! I said, "Yes, they do! They always use that on my feet whenever I get a pedicure". He repeated again that my feet didn't need it and I said, "You just don't want to do your job!" But he insisted. I said, "Well I guess you know better than me what my feet need." And then this ASS-CLOWN had the audacity to say, "I worry about your feet". Excuse me??? I had to keep from busting out laughing. I said, "What do you mean you 'worry about my feet'? You don't even KNOW me! I guess you must not be worried about getting a good tip!" By now I had had enough and just wanted him to finish so that I could get the hell out of there. The rest of the time was spent in stoney silence. I didn't even stop to dry my polish at the UV station, I just went straight to the counter and gave the woman an ear full and told her that I would not be leaving a tip and that I would never use them again. While "A.C." scampered off to go hide in the back the other employees listened intently as I described to the woman up front everything that he "didn't do". She said that this was his last week working there and that "he must not care". Great, I got someone who didn't give a crap the one time I decide to try a different place and splurge. I told her she best not steer any other customers to him unless she wanted more complaints. Not only that, but I will always request a female from here on out (when I go back to Apple Nails), because of this experience. To the woman's credit, she was very apologetic and seemed genuinely concerned. She even offered to have my heels re-done and one of the other ladies offered to redo my nails at no charge but I just couldn't fathom hanging around there another minute. I was so put off when I left this place but in a way they kinda did me a favor because I had no desire to stop by the bundt cake store after I left Beauty Nails & Spa with such a bad taste in my mouth! read more

Whoa this place is under new ownership now and I can see a lot of improvements already. I got a green tea deluxe pedicure and a basic manicure for $50 and they're totally worth it. We get to choose our scent too, they have new choices now so that's another plus. The massage is incredible man, I could have fallen asleep for real. All the staffs were really nice and they speak english well too. My nails are now all clean and shiny. Love this place! I will definite be back. read more

Some of my friends their pedicure wasn't good. although mine was fine.. nothing special about this place or my experience. DONT EVEN CONSIDER GOING HERE!!!!! this place is horrible, absolutely do not request steven either. my friend and I decided to go here yesterday because our favorite place pinkys was closed. Steven managed to mess up by smudging my nails and not putting enough powder over all of my nails. Let's also cover the way he made the shape of my thumb nail an almond not squared like I had asked. My friend got pink and white, and I don't really understand how hard it is to mess up pink and white but he succeeded. He made the white on one thumb longer than the other, and then messed the arch up. Let's also add that he left bubbles and didn't fix them. Then when she had asked could you fix this he said no. When I had told him I had smudges that needed to be redone( I said forget it because I was so irritated and just wanted to leave) , but instead of him insisting to fix it like usual nail people do he went ahead and calculated our prices. this place is horrible and I do NOT RECOMMEND. feel free to look at these god awful pictures!! read more

Brand new location, neat and clean, beautiful decor, descent price compared to others in Rockwall. The lady next to me is complaining about the chair being uncomfortable but I'm satisfied. Get me in any massage chair and I'm happy. The staff is nice...but my nail tech keeps leaving to talk to other workers or do services (waxing) on other clients. If I were in a hurry I would be mad...but I'm actualy trying to waste time so I'm fine with it. Ask for Andy instead I'm told. read more

I remember this place being so upsetting, the coworkers and manager would be so mean and wouldn't understand anything but now since this place is under NEW management everything has gotten so much better. I nearly go here every other week to get my nails done and I am so in love with every single thing about this beautiful nail salon. I wanted to like this place, I really did. It is in a very convienent location for me but now I will drive across town to Hollywood Nails to get my nails done. Let me explain. I've had many-o-pedicures in my life but never really took the time or spent the money on manicures. I have a job where I am very hard on my hands and regular polish lasts about 5 minutes on me. These days, gel/shellac polish is very popular and I decided to take the plunge and pop my shellac cherry. I walk in, the place looks clean and nice, I was greeted promptly and the lady up front was friendly. I asked for a shellac manicure and a regular pedicure and was seated right away. The first problem was minor but worth a mention; they filled the water up then asked me to place my feet in. The water was extremely hot, like swell your skin hot. No one was around so I just sat there for a few min, when someone walked by I asked them to add cold water, he did. Again, not a huge deal but still, kind of a lack of detail problem. The pedicure was standard, not horrible, not out of this world but sufficient. It is the manicure where things fall apart. Being that I have no experience with shellac, I have no idea what the process is. The nail tech filed my nails, cut the cuticles, buffed, and soaked them, seems legit. He then started to paint them. He used three, thick coats of polish and light cured after each application. He used his fingernail to get any polish off my skin, which was a little strange seeing as fingernails are kinda dirty, but I overlooked that at the time. I pay and leave, pretty happy. A week goes by and I notice my shellac is kind of bubbling around the cuticle. Luckily I have a polish at home that is very close to the color so I had to patch it up. The nail tech said it should last two weeks, after two weeks my polish was literally half off, it looked horrible! I started to think that something wasn't right. I decided to go to a different salon to see what they said. I went to Hollywood Nails after reading reviews and seeing what brands of polish they offered. The lady there told me that the polish looked way too thick and that my cuticles were not trimmed properly. As I was getting my manicure at Hollywood I paid attention to the process. She shaped, buffed, trimmed cuticles, all normal, then she applied some clear coat stuff, light cured, another clear liquid, light cured, two coats of paint, curing between each, then a clear coat. There was never any before or after clear coat at Beauty Nails. With the three clear coats and two coats of color, my nail polish looked thiner than the three coats of color at Beauty Nails. I recall the brand of polish at Beauty Nails was one I had never heard of, the brands at Hollywood Nails were OPI, Gelish, and CND, all very respected brands. Again, this is coming from a shellac novice, but I don't know if it's the use of a inferior brand, the mishandling of the application, or a combo of both but I would never get a shellac polish done here ever again. Like I said, from now on I'm going to drive across town, and battle horrible parking at the Harbor to get my nails done. The people at Beauty are nice, but don't expect quality products and workmanship. read more

This is the place to go for manicures & pedicures! The salon is big & open with many large screen TV's, they have rows of massage chairs and the employees are great! You get a long massage with every service you purchase (i.e. A leg massage with pedicures, an arm massage for nails) and these massages last approx 15 minutes. Oh, and they give you wine :) All for $25 pedicures and $30 shellac manicures, I'm sold! I've been going for a year and a half and love it!!! I have been using BNS for 2 yrs. I got all white acrylic because I wanted to paint my own designs at home to save money. I showed my tech the design I planned on painting when I got home. She insisted she wanted to paint the design. I won't be returning here because when I got to the register, it was $50! She charged me for the designs I thought she had volunteered to do. I have been using Apple Nails for the last couple of years but here lately I've not been happy with the sloppy results from them so I decided to try this place for my lunch-break pedicure. First off, I sat with my feet soaking for 20 minutes before a guy in a wife beater and swim trunks started working on my pedicure. He then rushed through every aspect of the pedicure to make up time. I paid for a pedicure that included exfoliation with a salt scrub and hot towel wrap. What a waste of money! The "salt scrub" was like torture as he was rubbing too aggressively trying to hurry and then to save time he wrapped just my feet in the hot towel and "massaged" (hit my legs with his fists) my calves while my feet were wrapped in a hot towel. Okay - so all of that happened but here is what surprised me the most... instead of using lotion on my legs and feet he used a whole lot of cuticle oil (the same thing that he had used after he clipped my cuticles) and rubbed that on me but couldn't get it all rubbed in so he just sprayed both of my calves and feet with alcohol and wiped them off! Really? Alcohol??? I'm sure that really helps moisturize my legs and feet - which is what I paid for!!! Needless to say - I will NOT be going back to this place! read more

By far the worst nail shop I've ever been too ! I tried this place roughly 3 years ago ( grand opening) and was unhappy poor service cold pedicure water ended up leaving with wet feet ... Now I went on 4/30/16 for a pedicure and again years later CRAPPY service! I asked the nail tech if the basic pedicure came with her scrubbing the dead skin on the bottom of my feet she yelled and said "NO YOU WANT FOOT SCRUB PAY FOR EXPENSIVE PEDICURE " so I felt a little pressured to spend the extra $ . The guy working on my feet ended up filing my nails so short that at one point ended up hurting me so bad that I shrieked in pain ( usually I just like to keep quiet and continue if something like that happens because I understand accidents happen ). I took my friend here and we both got manicures, pedicures and an eyebrow wax. The place was very clean and the staff was extremely friendly. The massage and the overall experience were pleasant. My friends nails came out well, but mine were very poor. There was not full coverage on my toe nails, and while I opted out of actual polish on my fingers the manicure seemed nice until the next day. My cuticles were cut far to short as were my nails, and the woman doing them also filed them so roughly that the tips of my fingers were slightly red and sore. It may not be bad for some but I lift things frequently at work so my fingers were pretty sore for the next few days. Lastly, my friend's eyebrows were hardly shaped and even after asking her to touch them up, mine were poorly shaped and uneven. It's a great place for a massage, but I won't be going back. read more

The man(don't know his name, he never gave it and he barely spoke to me) used a powder that I am not familiar with. It is ok, but he used an electric file across my entire nail. When I left, all my fingers hurt. I don't know if it was the file or nail color powder. My fingers still feel strange (not like normal) the next day. I will never go back. read more
