Not gel!" Never once on the phone did I even mention gel let alone say I had gel on. I even said I could have come a different time if you were going to be in such a rush. Idk why they said I could come now. Such a bad vibe from her the entire 30min she was doing my nails. Then I was happy to be done with her and enjoy a relaxing pedicure. Well that didn't happen. Sammi said I booked a regular polish appointment yet when I called all I said was I wanted to get my toes done and no other questions were asked! Then she said I could pick out a regular polish if I wanted a pedicure and she didn't have time for gel. Would never come back here or recommend it. There's a lot better places in Park Ridge that respect the customer and make them feel welcomed. Such a weird and disappointing experience since I was excited to try a salon so close to my house.

The lady pulled out nail snippers to cut my cuticle from some drawer and after finishing put it back in there. Let's stick to facts: 1. Overfilled sidewalls to the point of pain 2. Very strange shape to the nails. 3. After applying builder gel the lady went in with a mechanical file and drilled my natural nail near the cuticle. (That's not the buffing before product application) so now I have damaged nails. 4. The product is lifting at the tip of at least half of the nails and food and debris is stuck in there and starting to smell. 5. I did call the business to try to recoup my losses but was only offered to come in. Needless to say I won't let them touch my nails again. This review is written and pictures taken 4 days after nails were done. I paid close to $60 to have this done to my nails.

I watched another customer get an ombré manicure with an airbrush- it was fast and beautiful. They even added a flower design. Left my big toe nail crookedly shaped. Then I had asked for a design to match my acrylic nails on my big toe and she did nothing of the sort to try to match what I asked, she did what she wanted and it totally came out horrendous. And lastly, my total was $35 and I gave her a 40 and she she took it upon herself to keep the five dollars change without me even telling her or without her even knowing what I was gonna give her as a tip. Oh, and I also forgot to mention that the slippers that they put on me for my toenails to dry left the bottom of my feet stained pink, and when I brought it to their attention, they told me to go home and wash it off and I stated to them that I did not just pay $40 for a pedicure for me to walk out of the shop with pink under feet. (the picture that I will be attaching below shows the design that was put on my big toe that did not even closely match What is on my acrylic nail.)

I've been a loyal customer of Luxe for the past 6 years. They were truly the best of the best in Des Plaines. Unfortunately the old owner seems to have sold the business to new people and I tried to give them a few chances but will never return there again. Back to finding a new nail salon. The new owners don't seem to care about getting to know the clientele or even greeting you at the door. The salon no longer has the welcoming feeling. Now when you walk in, it's this cold strange place. Not to mention... the place is filthy! It is so dirty compared to before. Another thing is the prices of services have gone up. I don't mind paying extra for quality products but the stuff the new owners have brought is cheap and my skin and nails can tell the difference. If you're gonna raise the prices at least buy good quality things. My no chips have been chipping when they have never chipped before. My dips have been super thin and crack 2-3 days after getting them. Either they're thin or they're so thick it hurts. Don't know if it's because of the new owners or if they also changed the no chip products... I wouldn't be surprised. Time to look for another nail salon. read more

I have been getting my nails done by Cristina (and Monica) for years. I've known Cristina since she was in middle school and would spend time in her mom's salon. She and Monica are like family to me. They are two of the best around! I live in Chicago and spend the 30 minutes in the car out to Des Plaines because I cannot find the same level of service and perfection. My nails and cuticles look amazing EVERY time. The salon is so clean and they have done such a great job with the remodel. I cannot say enough about Cristina's quality of work, Monica's, too. Went here and got a pedicure for myself and a Princess pedicure for my daughter. I'm very picky when it comes to my nail salon because some nail salons have accidentally cut my toes or didn't do a great job. I tried Luxe Nail Spa and thank God I finally found an Nail Salon that does great work and has an amazing staff. Super friendly when you walk in and they use all natural products for their services. My daughter was super excited going and loved her Princess Pedi. It's been a week and my feet and toes still look like I left the salon. I definitely will be going here from now on. read more

My favorite nail place in the whole wide world. The staff is always friendly, listen to you and cater to what you want. My no chip manicure last three weeks. I've been going there for three years and I've never had one complaint. They are fairly priced and it's not hard to make an appointment and get in on the time you want. I always leave feeling pampered, I love that they use all natural products and they always mix essential Oils In the lotions that they give you a massage while after they are done with your nails. read more

This place is very clean and updated, and the entire staff is very friendly. I called in on a Saturday and they were able to accommodate me the same day for No-chip mani and a pedi. I dont know the technicians name but she did a great job. She spent a long time on my pedi which was GREAT, but I was there for an hour and 45 minutes. Sometimes I dont have that much time to spend in a nail salon.... Overall I am very happy with my nails and the price is very reasonable. read more

This place is so close to home, parking is always available, and the service is great. I consistently get my eyebrows done there, and they always look great. I definitely suggest coming here for eyebrow waxing, as well as nails. I have never gotten my hair done there, but many of my friends do an I have never heard any complaints. read more
