I got a full set acrylics and each nail was a different shape and size. one hand had a fine nail polish job and the other had air bubbles. My sister showed the girl a picture of rounded French tips and she gave her claw shape with crooked lines for the white. The pedicures were only 10 minutes. Came here because my old salon next door shut down and I was charged $38 for nail dip with my own nails. I don't mind paying that price when deserved, but it was THE WORST manicure I have ever received. The man who did my nails continually took tools out of a box labeled "soiled" and when I asked him about it he acted like he didn't know what I was saying. The nail dip lasted less than a week, no hand massage, no lotion, didn't ask me to wash my hands. Definitely won't be back and wouldn't recomend. read more

I never would want to give a bad review but I went in for a gel manicure and a pedicure. The lady asked me what type of pedicure and I just said the regular one. First off, She made me bleed 2 times which hurt real bad and I even told her. Then when it came to check out. She charged me $65 when it should have been $47. She did a different pedicure than I asked for ? Which I don't understand why. Second off, my gel manicure peeled off that night!! I was so irritated. Never going to this place again. Over prices $130 for a pedicure and a full set that was lifting after 3 days. Nails were uneven crooked and bumpy looked like I let me 4 year old do my nails. My nails were $45 dollars for a solid color. Bumpy not straight and already after a week, 2 nails lifted. Resulting in having to take them off. The nail tech came off pretty rude and stuck up. Rushed on my nails and every color I wanted they didn't have. Super annoying. I cried leaving the salon because my nails looked so bad. Don't waste your time or money here. i love coming to luxe nails! danny and his staff are very attentive and super nice! i've only been here 3 times since the times they have opened but i have received great customer service every time. i do recommend making an appointment on weekends since they are sometimes short staffed and busy, especially if you are trying to get acrylics done. read more

I have had many gel manicures in my life, and this was by far the worst. Typically I am satisfied with a manicure even if it is subpar, but this was just terrible service all around. I went in for a gel manicure a few weeks ago, and first had to wait fifteen minutes even though there were three technicians just sitting around. When they finally did seat me, the woman who did my nails seemed to have absolutely no idea what she was doing. I came in with my natural nails already shaped square-round from a previous manicure. I asked that she keep the shape, simply file a bit to manage the length and maintain the shape. She filed every single finger crooked. I asked her to fix them. She filed again. Still crooked. I asked her to fix the ones that were crooked. She filed again. Three times, still crooked. She then proceeded to file so hard that she broke one of my fingernails, and then had the audacity to blame me and tell me that my nails are too thin. Let me point out that every salon I have been in prior to this the people doing my nails have always commented on how strong my nails are. I told her to fix it. She tried to file it completely crooked, didn't even bother cutting it, and it was literally diagonally shaped. I told her never mind, to cut them all off and just shape them round because she already ruined them. She filed them down, still crooked I might add, and I finally just gave up because she had no idea what she was doing. When she painted my nails she had polish all over my cuticles that she never bothered to clean off, and it was raised and bubbled in multiple areas. I shouldn't have paid for this service, but I was so frustrated I just gave her my money and left. I had such high hopes for this place, being as it was new and had great reviews, but I will never come here again. I wish I had taken pictures to show what a mess it was. The tech was an older Asian lady, probably in her 50s. I don't know how the other techs are, but she ruined my nails and my experience. First time, last time, and never again. read more

I've been coming here for awhile since they've opened and they're very friendly, but I have to give them 3 stars because their lack of communication is crappy. Time and time again I keep having issues when I come in with my 5 year old daughter and saying we want a mani and pedi TOGETHER. They're not busy, they have time, the kid chair and the chair beside it is empty (actually majority of the chairs are empty). They'll have me pick a color, and another lady will walk in asking for a pedi and they'll sit her in the chair next to the kid chair and then try to seat me some where else and my daughter in the kid chair, after I had very specifically asked for those 2 chairs so I can sit with my 5 year old. They don't seem to really have a care for attending to children either. They'll come and start on me right away and I'll ask them to start on her since I am doing gel and she is doing polish that way we don't have to sit and wait even longer for hers to dry, they don't listen to the request and continue on with my nails. Several more ladies walk in asking for pedicures and they'll sit them down and start on them right away while my daughter is STILL waiting after like 20 mins. It's ludacris in my opinion. Specially, today I had called in and requested an appt with Elena at 10am, they said she was available and see you then. I get there at 9:58am, pick my color and they sit me with someone other then Elena. This other person did my hand and toe color and frankly my left hand came out pretty bad. I love Elena! She's sweet and attentive and she really takes her time to do nice work. That is exactly why I made an appt with HER. I expected to have my nails done by her, hence the reason of making an appt in the first place. It's like every time I come here there's some sort of communication issue and they'll send the owner over to try and smooth things out, offer no service discount or any accommodations for their mistakes and charge high prices. I'm beginning to wonder why I keep coming back. I don't normally leave reviews like this, but it's getting pretty old. I like coming here and receiving services from Elena and a few others, and the location is convenient, but now that Elena is back in school and only part time (and since I make an appt with her and still can't seem to have her) I'm thinking it's time to find a new place. read more

This place is amazing!!! I came in a full set w/ gel in the coffin shape and spent $42. In from socal, so this is a little more expensive but for the area it is a great price for the service. ALL of the employees do nails well, not just one of two. I have gotten the best coffin shape ever here! The workers are detailed and very gentle with hands. I didn't have any cuts on my cuticles of sore spots after getting a full set. This is my favorite nail salon! read more

This is a brand new sleek, classy shop where Envy used to be (right next to Smart & Final on Standiford). I've been twice for manicures & pedicures. The first timeI was very pleased, the second time not so much. While Danny did a fantastic job on my manicure, the girl who did my pedicure rushed through it because they were very busy. 3 days, after paying nearly $40 for a pedicure, all the polish began chipping off my toes. They desperately need more help....the day I was there at least $200 worth of business walked out the door in an hour and a halbecause they got tired of waiting. This shop is also on the high side price wise so hopefully they can get their act together soon. Their business card and window advertisement says "Walk In's Welcome" but I wouldn't advise trying that until they hire up. I definitely plan to give them another chance and if all goes well I will adjust my review. read more

I went in about two months ago requesting a full set similar to the ones I had seen on their yelp photos. They were nice and sat me fairly quickly and did the nails beautifully although I did see an air bubble on both my thumbs. I went in the next day since the air bubbles popped that same night and there was wet nail polish coming out and they fixed my nail. That night after getting them fixed one of the ones I got fixed got chipped. Personally I have been to multiple salons and NEVER have I had gel chip on me let alone that same day. I was leaving on vacation the next morning and wasn't able to go but when returned went to get a fill and the color was veryy off with the sample but my most frustrating moment was getting a chip on my nails the next day. I don't understand why this happened but if I'm paying 50 dollars for my nails I don't want them chipping the next day read more

Nice place, super pretty and organized. I had come in for a full set gel manicure, but they used acrylic powder first, then just painted gel polish on top.... I've gotten gel before elsewhere, and they did not use powder. Should've just gotten an acrylic set instead since it's cheaper.. when she painted my nails, she only did 2 coats instead of the average 4, so you could see the discoloration in the nails. The shape was nice though, very even. I went back to get my nails removed, and they used a fake nail to pop it off by forcing it in between my real and the fake acrylic nails. Basically forcing it to peel off. It hurt like a b***h! She stopped when I pulled my hand away, and I even have a mark on my nail bed where she pierced through my nail that it bled. She then soaked it off with acid and just sanded it away... It's such a nice place, but they take so many shortcuts that it was such a bad experience. Probably not going to come back unless they provide the correct service. read more

The only reason why I'm giving one star is because I have to select something otherwise it would be ZERO. I was a loyal customer to Monica every two weeks for my acrylic nails. With my style and shape it was very difficult for me to find a nail artist that could execute exactly what I wanted. So when I found her, I was so excited. Granted, I am very picky. With that being said, I pay over $100 for my sets every two weeks and tip well. I recently called and made an appointment with Monica for 1pm. The woman who took my call confirmed my name, time and nail tech. I arrived about 12:57 and Monica looked at me as I walked in, and sat and ignored me for about 10 minutes. Another tech walked up and attempted to take my appointment and I politely let her know I was there for Monica. At that moment she turned around and let me know she was already booked. I was confused because I had scheduled my appointment previously but was open to rescheduling because of the confusion. At that time she let me know she no longer was interested in doing my nails. Her words were "you questioned why it was so expensive last time and it was annoying." I was in shock. As a customer who has been loyal, if I inquire about my price one day being heightened, I am entitled to know my charges and where my money is going. There is nothing wrong with that. The setting of the argument was very unprofessional and extremely rude. We continued to have a debate for about 10 minutes in front of the ENTIRE salon. I'm unsure who the owner is, but I have a hard time believing that you allow your staff to create a scene like this and treat paying customers this way. Essentially it's not hurting me, I'll find another tech to spend my money with. But Luxe, and mostly Monica, you have lost a loyal and paying client. As a beauty industry professional myself, I would never conduct myself in that manner to a client or in front of the entire business. Clients are entitled to knowing their charges and why, so if you're someone who will want to ask about price, take your money somewhere else, apparently that's not allowed here. read more
