I had the great luck to walk into Luxe Optique when Optician Apprentice Robert was there. I was visiting Hudson briefly from California and the temple of my frames had just broken off. With no spare glasses in tow and not enough time to get a new pair shipped in, I would have to walk around with ridiculously lopsided frames. Robert examined my glasses and miraculously found an old pair of the same frame (this is a somewhat rare, German frame) in the back of the shop and took that temple and attached it to my glasses. He saved my sight and my trip. His quick thinking, resourcefulness, and customer service were just remarkable. This shop has "big city" style in terms of its frame selection but small town kindness and care. It is truly one of a kind. I can't wait to return to shop for new frames, and I hope Robert will be available to guide me through the excellent and wide selection of styles. read more

I decided to treat myself to a really nice pair of glasses. I was thriled to find high end fashion frames in Hudson, NY at Luxe Optique. I have a "small" face and I am not always sure what frames look best on me, so I asked for some advice. This is when I got what I always dreampt of!! One of the salesmen at the boutique, Kenneth, was extremely kind and helpful. He gave me a full consultation about the type of frames that could be best for my face, (exactly how glasses should sit on my face, etc.), he was gently curious about my lifestyle and sense of style in general and was willing to give me lots of time. He filled a whole tray of frames from different designers for me to try, and consult with him if the frame looked good or not. Kenneth gave me the time and attention to go frame by frame to give me his feedback. He also explained to me about lenses and a great deal on a "three progressive lense deal" so he helped me find three different frames for this purchase, for three different parts of my life! i live in great barrington where there are three places to buy glasses but never feel welcome in any of them. while visiting a friend in hudson i happened into their gorgeous store and was thrilled by the product selection and the service... they are knowledgeable, courteous and have curated an unbelievable selection of frames....a year after my eyeglass purchase, my frames broke. It turned out these frames were no longer made  but the luxe manager searched everywhere for weeks looking for the replacement, apprising me of their progress the entire time. i was finally united with my new frames and lenses.....all covered by warranty.  i could not be more pleased with a merchant anywhere.... every person who works there is competent and friendly.... worth  the trip to hudson to shop there... and can always find something good to eat...... read more

The Luxe Optique people in Hudson are as incredibly helpful as their store is beautiful. I had a problem with my glasses and Elsie took about 30 minutes of her time to fix me up ..... and then refused to accept payment. That kind of service is rare these days. As someone who has worn glasses for decades and shopped at the best optic in NYC I consider myself lucky that I ended with glasses "emergency" visiting Hudson. I walked into the luxe store of warren st. and realized that I have never to such a place. While the selection is amazing (I bought two pairs of Theo glasses) the craftsmanship flawless and timely the best aspect of the place are the staff. They are all so passionate about glasses and the art of fitting the best glasses to the client. I got the best two pairs I have ever possessed, and though I live far from Hudson, i adopted Luxe as my opticians. Great find. DRK read more

We each walked out with fabulous frames thanks to the incredible attention and expertise of Elsie, whose warmth, humor, and patience, along with her knowledge and fashion sense made the process seamless.
